NFW Aftershock #24 - 03/20/2021!

Qiyanna Marshal v. Kairi Higurashi

Qiyanna and Kairi started the match with a collar & elbow tieup with the latter getting the opening advantage in the match by unloading on Qiyanna with palm strikes and kicks. Precise shots that started rocking Qiyanna backwards until she was on the ropes, prompting the referee to call for a rope break. This gave Qiyanna the opportunity to mount a comeback with some of her own strikes, firing away with forearms. The two went back and forth, hitting each other with everything they had until Qiyanna gained the advantage for herself and moved to the power side of her game, hitting an arsenal of suplexes on Kairi before setting her up for the Black Hawk but Kairi got her arms free and reversed it into a Northern Lights Suplex. Qiyanna kicked out of the bridge. She made it up to her feet first, positioning herself for Arise but as she went for the kick, Kairi caught her leg and spun her around, catching her with a kick to the midsection. As Qiyanna doubled over, Kairi folded her up and lifted her off the mat to deliver Crimson Stained right in the center of the ring for the pinfall victory!

Azurine Vebbins v. River Chance

River Chance gained control of the match in the opening moments, using her power game to basically designate where in the ring she wanted Azurine. She kept Da Adorkable Angel rocked with heavy hits and suplexes but Vebbins continued to show her resilience and fight back with all she had. She fired back against River with Elbow Smashes and Knife Edge Chops but her attempt to whip the big woman across the ring all but failed as River just anchored her feet and reversed the maneuver, sending Azurine violently into the corner before running in to flatten her with a big corner splash. River went for another Irish whip and a corner splash but Vebbins hit an up and over, rolling back across the mat and nailed River with a Shotgun Dropkick, sending her against the turnbuckles. Now it was her turn to bring the fight as she ran in with a flying elbow, hooked River’s head and delivered a Running Bulldog to the mat. Vebbins got River up and finally hit the Irish whip she was looking for but River came off the ropes with a Discus Lariat, wait no, she missed! Vebbins gave her the juke and sprang off of the ropes for another dropkick. River hit the mat again but was working on getting back to her feet as Azurine climbed the turnbuckle. She dove off for a crossbody but River caught her right out of the air in her arms and muscled her up overhead for a Gorilla Press. Before she could deliver any kind of slam, Azurine wriggled free and landed on her feet behind River where she caught her in a Nelson lock to deliver the Pearly Gatekeeper with everything she had. It rocked River enough for Azurine to stack her up for the cover and get a three count just before River kicked out as the bell rang.

Faye Brown v. Santa Muerte w/Lady Death

The bell sounds and Santa Muerta just sits there in the corner, laughing and staring right at Faye before she looks down at Logan and waves at him. She blows him a kiss and winks and this causes Faye to come charging in and delivering a knee to the side of the head. The face painted woman just continues to laugh as she looks at Faye once again. She finally gets up to her feet though, a menacing grin on her face Faye backs away slowly as Santa Muerta comes out of her corner, backing Faye up before she finds herself in the corner. As Santa Muerta is about to strike though, the lights go out. When they come back on, Santa Muerta is nowhere to be seen. On the ramp though, we see La Profeta standing there with a microphone in hand.

La Profeta: My dear Faye and Logan, I’m sorry, but Santa Muerta was called back to the underworld unexpectedly.

The crowd begins to boo her as she just continues to look down at Faye.

La Profeta: But don’t you fret, little one, my girls are not done with you and your boy though, soon, the day of sacrifice will be upon you two, but for now, you live to fight another day. Good luck at March Mayhem, you’re going to need it.

La Profeta laughs as the lights go out once again and on the tron, we see an image of Faye’s face with blood running down it as the laughter of La Profeta fills the arena before the lights come back on and Faye and Logan are left standing in the ring.
