The Vlad Blackheart Memorial Tournament is an annual event held by New Frontier Wrestling.
The tournament is held to honor the memory of the late "Easy V" Vlad Blackheart; one of NFW's
original pioneer roster members during the company's inception in 1996. The event is a round robin
tournament in which 20 competitors compete throughout the month of September and early October.
The tournament is split into two blocks with 10 wrestlers in each. The winners of each block face off
against each other in the main event at the Finals Supercard. The winner of the finals match receives
the trophy and a guaranteed contract to challenge either the World or NFW Champion at Wrestle War
in December, later that year.
Tie breakers are put into play and in the event of a tie in points for one block, the individual who won
the match against the other during the block matches is awarded the tie breaker and considered the
winner of the block. Should the two tie breakers have come to a time limit draw, both competitors will
be entered into the Finals match and the main event will become a triple threat, fatal fourway etc.
