CHAMPIONSHIPS RETIRED: 02/28/2024
The NFW Trios Championships were introduced as a multi-person tag title to add something new to the company.
Before, the Tag Team titles were competed for across both brands with each show having a separate roster of tag teams.
In an effort to breathe new life into the company, the Trios Division was introduced as a cross brand event, similar to how the
Tag Team titles once were. The Trios Division is contested under Lucha House Rules, meaning that while physical
tags are acceptable, they are not a requirement to swap legal members in the ring. If the current legal team
member exits or is sent out of the ring, another member of their team may enter, automatically making them
the legal competitor. A tournament was held to crown the inaugural Trios Tag Champions, consisting of three
blocks. In the finals, on Collision #91, 02/09/2021, the winners of each block met in a Threeway Trios Dance
with the team or Arsenal (Ashley & Bethany Kenyon and Jeszika Gautier) defeating The Kingdom (Javier Mateo
Duran, f.k.a Tren Descarrilado and The Last of The Valkyries - Lilith Meadows & Christina Olson) and S.B.S.
(The team of Yuka Hirata, Kayako Kazama and Masami Nishikiyama) to become the first Trios Tag Champions.
As part of the 2022 draft, the Tag Team and Trios Divisions were separated and made exclusive to one brand
each. The Tag Team Division was moved solely to Collision with the Trios Tag Division moving solely to Trauma.
The championships were retired on February 28th, 2024 when 2/3 of the final champions faced off against the
final NFW Tag Team Champions, Thicc Attack to unify both sets titles into the current NFW Alliance Championships.
