Nothing Left

"Are you sure about this?" Sloane Cameron asked her client, all while keeping a safe distance from her.

Shelley looked up from the couch after setting up the tripod for her camera and nodded. "If I don't do it now, it's not going to get done. At this point, everyone deserves to know the truth."

"But not... that truth, right?" Sloane tilted her head.

Shelley shook her head, "I don't care to give out the fuel as strong as the fact that I'm bipolar. It's cheap, but I know that it will get on my nerves."

Sloane nodded, "I'll leave you to it, then." She walked out of the room, leaving Shelley to make her vlog.

ON CAMERA

Shelley used her remote to start the recording on her HD camera, logged onto her YouTube channel and doing a live premiere that would automatically upload after the recording ended.

"I love you, Lara Blackheart," Shelley started the video, looking a little disheveled despite that she was post-shower, hair still wet. "That has never been a question."

She ran her fingers through her hair. "I know that it has been for you, though." She shook her head, "all because I didn't say 'yes'. But what you seemed to have missed is that I didn't actually say 'no', either. I have my own reasons for not wanting anything to do with Valentine's Day, and if you actually bothered to take the time to stop and listen to me, you would know them by now."

She shrugged, sitting back. "At the same time, I can't be surprised," she frowned. "I thought that I was supposed to be your tag team partner. Something happened there, though. I also expressed interested in joining the Dominion, but..." she sighed, holding her arms up in an over-exaggerated shrug. "So really, I don't know what's going on with you, Lara. I didn't want to do this publicly, but you've left me no choice. I'm not going to let you continue to go on the way that you have been without knowing this."

She raised up the remote to stop it then, but remembered something, lowering it once more. "I guess that I should also address something else. As everyone knows, Valentine's Day wasn't the first time that Lara declared her feelings for me. Again, I didn't exactly accept nor reject her then, though. My reason at that time? I was still in another relationship. I was engaged. Sure, I don't doubt how I feel about Lara, but..." She stood up, remote in hand, stepping closer to the camera. "Excuse me for caring enough about you to not risk you just being a flippin' rebound for me," she snapped before ending the recording.

OFF CAMERA

Shelley took a few deep breaths, slowly looking up to the doorway to see a face that she hadn't seen in quite a while...



"Hey... you okay," Jasmine Sutton offered a sweet smile before walking into the room.

Instead of saying anything, Shelley took a few hurried steps to Jasmine and placed one hand on her cheek and brought the other arm around her and pulled the other girl in for a desperate kiss. After a few moments, she pulled away, her cheeks flushed. "Sorry..."

Jasmine shook her head with a smile, "I heard things went south with Ace and I know that things are exactly happening with Lara, so I thought that I'd check in on you while you were in the area." She shrugged, "Sloane let me in."

Shelley shook her head, "I don't think that I've ever been so glad that I met you."

Jasmine grinned, motioning toward the bedroom, "c'mon, let's see what I can do about making you feel a little better."

Shelley nodded as they walked into the bedroom, hand-in-hand.
