Opening Contest - Singles Match
Ryan Terror v. Trina Tanaka
As soon as the opening contest begins, Ryan Terror rushes Trina with a roaring takedown that brings the crowd to their feet! The leader of The Hell Realm is no stranger to violence, pounding his opponent with fists while Tanaka tries to block her face with her arms. Slipping out of the hold, Ryan looks mildly impressed before insanity consumes his expression again. The fan-favorite doesn’t surrender, though! She hits the clothesline and then hits another on the rebound as her opponent climbs back to his feet. Then she hits an impressive standing shooting star splash! She tries for the pin with the leg hooked, but the cerebral monster kicks out before the count of one! With determination in her eyes, she climbs the turnbuckle to try to hit that second shooting star press off the top rope only to get caught with a ridiculous Out Of The Shadows superkick! The impact turns her inside out, a double flip in mid-air that shocks everyone watching. With his opponent down, Ryan Terror basks in the boos and refers to his younger counterpart as nothing more than a child. He steps on Trina’s chest, gesturing the referee to count the pin. She kicks out at two.
The Ohio-native ponders his next move against the Japanese hopeful, giving Trina Tanaka time to recover and roll him up into a schoolgirl pin! It’s a two count, but Trina’s got control. Leg drop. Leg drop. She pulls at Ryan’s foot towards his torso with desperation. Terror fights out of it, flipping Tanaka over with what could be described as a leg drag, and Trina rolls to a standing position. Now the two are face-to-face in the middle of the ring, the crowd letting them hear their excitement! Trina! Trina! Trina! The audience’s reaction changes when Ryan Terror kicks the upstart in the gut then grabs her in a double underhook. Blood Reign II! It’s a merciless piledriver! And what’s this? He bounces off the ropes and hits the God Particle busaiku knee kick straight into Trina’s skull! Is her forehead bleeding? Yes! He hooks the leg, pinning her in the closing moments. 1! 2! 3!
Winner: Ryan Terror
Result: Pinfall

The scene fades in to show an office door with a frosted glass window. On the frosted glass in gilded letters is a sign that reads “M & M Investigations.” The scene is drained of color as it switches to black and white. There was the sound of knocking which was answered from inside of the office by a thick Pittsburgh accent.
Morgan Payne: Arright, arright! Hold ya horses!
The door opens and we pass through. The door is closed by Morgan Payne. She is dressed in a pair of black slacks, a white button-down shirt, a black vest, and a pair of suspenders. Sitting at the main desk is Sativa Nevaeh. She is dressed in a form-fitting black dress with a pair of black gloves. She smiles and offers a seat.
Sativa Nevaeh: Hey there, how’s tricks?
Sativa chuckles. She and Morgan share a look and she nods. Morgan moves over to a cabinet pulling out three glasses. As she works at what she was doing Sativa continues.
Sativa Nevaeh: Welcome to M and M Investigations. More locally known as The Regulators. You’re lucky you found us when you did. We are actually in a lull of our current case.
Morgan steps up next to Sativa carrying three drinks. She hands one to Sativa before setting another down in front of the camera. Finally going for a cigarette out of a little metal case she pulls from the pocket of a jacket hanging on an empty chair. She lights it with her zip--wait, no. Appropriate with the setting, Morgan strikes a match this time. Sativa lifts her drink swirling the amber liquid around the glass. She looks at it as she continues to swirl it.
Sativa Nevaeh: You see, we’re looking into where the NFW Collision championships went to. A few months ago they were all the rage. But then some newsie flunk got it and no one seemed to care. Then she went out and let some palooka take it from her.
Morgan Payne: Real bad cat. Ugly too.
Morgan steps over to a blackboard like those usually seen in old detective films and pins up a photo of Minoru Tanahashi.
Morgan Payne: Then, there’s da dame.
Next, she pins a photo of Danni Anderson right beside Minoru’s. She picks up a piece of chalk and scribbles a line between the two, connecting them.
Morgan Payne: She’s sittin’ pretty on da big score. What do they got in common? Nobody’s liftin’ a finger ta do anything ‘bout it.
Sativa stands up and moves next to Morgan. She points at each picture with the same hand still holding her glass.
Sativa Nevaeh: After these two won their titles, well, even before them for the palooka, you barely hear anything about them. Things started to look bleak. Weeks drug on into months and no one had heard much, if anything, about the titles. We were practically chasing ghosts.
Sativa takes a large sip of her drink.
Sativa Nevaeh: That was up until the last few weeks. We’ve finally got a lead and are following it. We’ve tracked down the fact that both champions are going to be at Collision in a tag team match. After greasin a few palms the Regulators got placed opposite them.
Sativa downs the last of her drink and sets the glass down. She turns back to the blackboard and taps both pictures.
Sativa Nevaeh: Even without that, we both have a line on the champions. This team thing? This is just a little scouting, ya see. We’ve already got our dates with destiny.
Morgan Payne: Dat we do, gorgeous. Dat we do.
Even in her heavy Pittsburghese, Morgan attempts her best Humphrey Bogart impression as she puts an arm dangerously low around Sativa’s waist; hand right on her hip.
Morgan Payne: Some might say we’re in over our heads but I’d say we’re as hard as they come, dollface.
Sativa Nevaeh: Yes we are babydoll. Been in tougher scrapes before.
Sativa leans in close against Morgan.
Sativa Nevaeh: Tonight there are stakes, for you two. We are scouting. Getting the lay of the land as it were. Casing the opposition. This means more to you the palooka and the broad than it does to us. I would suggest bringing your best so you look outstanding. Otherwise, well...
Sativa looks at Morgan with a grin.
Sativa Nevaeh: You’re gonna look like a couple of rubes. Now, scram will ya. We got business to take care of.
With that Morgan forcefully helps the camera out of the room. The door slamming shut as soon as the camera is out.

Singles Match
Jed Coffey v. Lluvia Cane
Jed looked amused as Lluvia stood across the ring from him. Lluvia on the other hand, she looked more than ready for a fight with the enforcer of the Second City Riot Squad. Finally though, the bell rang and we were off and running. Lluvia came out of the gates rather quickly as she hits Jed with a series of clotheslines before she delivers a kick to the midsection and then hits a snap DDT onto Jed. She continued to mount offense on Jed, forcing him to the outside. From there, Lluvia would hit the ropes, looking for a suicide dive onto him, but Layla shoved him out of the way and took the move instead. This opened the door for Jed as a confused Lluvia looked on as he drove her skull first into the ringpost.
Jed continued to assault Lluvia on the outside of the ring before rolling her back in. Jed rolls back in after her and icks Lluvia up and sends her into the ropes. Lluvia comes off the ropes and he delivers a back body drop before following it up by hitting the ropes himself and delivering a series of elbow drops before hitting a legdrop. Jed goes for the cover, but Lluvia manages to kick out at two. Jed picks Lluvia up and he looks to hit a military press slam, but Lluvia is able to wiggle out of it. As Jed turns around, Lluvia delivers a discus clothesline to Jed that takes him down to the mat. She then climbs up to the top rope and she goes to steady herself, but as she does, Leah hops up onto the apron and gets the ref’s attention and Layla hops up and shoves Lluvia off the top rope and Jed picks Lluvia and delivers Schmucks Up, Schmucks Down and hooks the leg to get the win.
As soon as the bell rings, the three of them immediately go after Lluvia in a three on one attack. They stomp away at Lluvia before the crowd cheers and out runs Lilith Meadows, Christina Olson, and Tren Decardillo run out to save their fellow Kingdom member. Lilith delivers a clothesline that drives Leah out of the ring as Christina delivers a dropkick that sends Layla out. Tren takes Jed and pulls him into a headbutt before picking him up over his head and tossing him out onto Leah and Layla on the floor. The three of them check on Lluvia before Christina asks for a microphone.
Christina Olson: Hey, you three cowardly little bitches, we know you love the numbers game, but I have a proposition for you. Two weeks from now, me, Lily and Tren versus the three of you in a trios match. The winner of the match gets to choose the stipulation for our tag title match at WrestleWar! What do you say, bitches? Do you accept?
On the outside, Layla clearly looks angry and is yelling at Bloody Fairytale as Leah stares daggers at them and they both agree to the match as Layla continues her yelling and we go to commercial.
Winner: Jed Coffey
Result: Pinfall

We open up in the locker room of Jenn Drew. We see her sitting there in a chair, finishing up her preparations for tonight and her match. She looks up and notices the camera and bites off the tape and attaches the loose end to her wrist before she tosses the roll into the trash and stands up, walking around the room a little bit.
Jenn Drew: Tapping out to me is unacceptable. I did just that and my shot at becoming World Champion went right up in smoke. It wasn’t the result I was expecting to have for myself, but here we are, with me at a crossroad right now. That tournament was my ticket to the biggest show of the year and I came up short. Tonight though, I make a statement at the hands of a poor bastard that shouldn’t even be in the same ring as me.
She paces around the room a little bit and then stops and stares right at the camera again.
Jenn Drew: But tonight is just a formality. I have other things to deal with and they begin tonight. Cass Baumer, that little attention seeking bitch. She’ll cozy up to anybody if it gets her name out there. She likes to leech off of anybody and everybody, steal their spotlight and claim it all for herself. She did something a few years ago that I cannot forgive. I”ve been waiting for the day I could get my hands on her for it. She knows what she did too, ruining what could have been a blossoming career of a young woman with vicious rumors and lies. A woman I trained no less. Cass, I’m sure you don’t care about ruining the livelyhood of somebody or the fact that you used and probably still use lies and deceit to make yourself look better than you truly are. I’m coming for you Baumer, and when you realize what you did, you’ll beg for forgiveness, but I’ll be exposing a secret of yours soon enough that might just ruin your career.
Jenn laughs as she blows a kiss to the camera and shoves it out of the room and slams the door shut on it as it fades out.

Singles Match
The Soz v. Jenn Drew
Jenn came out and she definitely didn’t look amused by her new opponent. Before the bell could ring, Jenn came out and delivered a shotgun style dropkick that sent him into the corner. Jenn got herself a running start and delivered a hesitation style dropkick to Soz. She snapmares him out of the ring and climbs to the top rope and she launches herself, delivering The Curtain Call. She doesn’t stop there though as she once again climbs to the top rope and she delivers a second Curtain Call before just standing on the chest of Soz and picks up the three count.
Winner: Jenn Drew
Result: Pinfall

The lights inside the Collision Center suddenly dim as the screen lights up with a serene view of the Serengeti, alone on a large rock, a black lion lays, majestic and calm. Suddenly we hear some music begin to play.
I wake up at one
My day's just begun
Say hello to the sun
I'm feeling sublime
The weather is fine
So I'm gonna shine
In the finest of clubs
The best country pubs
Nobody will stop me
The lion starts to stir as the music picks up a bit, and bright green and pink lights begin to flash.
So now
Whatever I wear
It's gotta have flare
So you people can stare
And I'll catch your eye
When I walk on by
Nobody will stop me
Ooh
The lion slowly stands and begins stalking his way to the edge of the cliff
Come take my hand
Let's start the show
Strike up the band
And you'll see
The lion roars right as the chorus kicks in and gold pyro fires off in front of Minoru Tanahashi, clad in a very simple pair of grey dress pants, and a Black Lion Bomb T-shirt, but of course he had his flair courtesy of black fur lined moccasins and his customized Steve McQueen Persol sunglasses, and of course the Silver Mountain title around his waist. He starts strutting down to the ring, dancing along to the music and singing along with the words, Minoru hops up onto the second step, then right to the apron. He wipes his shoes, steps in and goes to the center of the ring. He looks out to the crowd and extends his hand to them.
Come take my hand
Let's start the show
Strike up the band
And you'll see
As the second chorus hits, a bunch of Black Lion Bomb stickers fire off into the crowd. Minoru smiles as he gets a microphone
Minoru Tanahashi: Man I still love this new entrance. I just feel really good right now. The fun song, the pyro, the streamers, all you people singing along, I know I know, you weren’t, but you will be soon. Just like you will be reaching out your hands when that part comes.
Minoru smirks and chuckles a bit, having fun with the crowd he had slowly been winning over.He takes the title off his waist, goes to put it on his shoulder, but then stops, goes towards the timekeeper and asks him to keep hold of it for a bit.
Minoru Tanahashi: I know, it probably seems weird that a champion hands off their title when it’s not match time, which obviously it isn’t if I’m still dressed like this. But I decided to hand it off because tonight isn’t really about the title, and while I am curious to hear what Morgan has chosen for her finisher in our match, it’s really not even about the title match. Morgan said I had laid all my cards on the table by choosing my finisher right away and announcing all five of the lumberjacks I had selected. I find it kind of funny that she wanted me to announce the stipulation immediately and now she’s taking her sweet ass time to announce her finisher and lumberjacks, but honestly I do not care if she wants to play mind games.
Minoru shrugs, goes over to the corner and kind of leans back a bit as he looks up the ramp.
Minoru Tanahashi: Tonight we have ourselves a fun little tag match, much like we did during the tournament. Only this time I promise to get in the ring. You actually taught me a valuable lesson, Morgan. If I had gotten in the match, squared up against you and paid more attention, had that first hand scouting, maybe you wouldn't beat me in the tournament, and maybe I would carry that momentum on. Maybe you still win, I don’t know. I do know that tonight isn’t about the title, but I promise I will be wrestling like it is. Outside this ring, I’ll be the most fun guy you have ever been around. Before that bell rings, after that bell rings, life of the damn party. Inside these ropes, on this canvas, bell to bell, I am no clown, I am no joke, I am a champion for a reason, and The Silver Mountain Lion Isn’t going away any time soon.
Minoru stands there smirking as he looks up the ramp, takes off his sunglasses, hands them off and makes a motion towards the ramp.
The relative silence in the arena is broken by the sound of slow clapping coming through the PA system. Suddenly, the video tron comes to life with a backstage shot. Morgan Payne, still in just a black tank top and sweatpants offers a mocking round of applause as she paces back and forth.
Morgan Payne: Minoru, Minoru, Minoru. Glad ya could make it aht ‘ere. Ahnno we got dat lil tag match comin’ up tonight but I wanted ta take a second ta remind you how important our match at Wrestle War is ta me. Da Silver Mountain Championship was named in memoriam ta Vlad Blackheart. Now, maybe yinz knew dat, maybe yinz din’t. Regardless, dat title was created to actually represent somethin’. It ain’t just ‘bout having a title ta carry arahnd and say you’re a good wrestler. It ain’t ‘bout just provin’ ya can beat someone within an inch of their life and call yaself da nastiest person on da roster.
She smiles. A wry, amused little smile as a chuckle escapes out one side of her mouth. Morgan taps her fist against her hand.
Morgan Payne: Nah, see. Dat title’s all ‘bout conquerin’ and overcomin’ obstacles and settin’ new ones in place of those you surpassed. It’s ‘bout beatin’ your opponent not just physically, but mentally. Gettin’ up in their head. Which is exactly what I’m bound ta prove I can do, Minoru. Seems like I got a reputation o’just bein’ da “muscle” of da Kingdom.
Morgan brings up her hands and makes quotation marks with her fingers.
Morgan Payne: Yanno what, though? I said before and I’ll say again, dis is my year and dis….
She points to the ground in front of her then at the camera, almost like she’s pointing to the Silver Mountain Championship itself.
Morgan Payne: ...is my moment. Dat is my destiny. I said at da beginnin’ o’dis year dat I was gonna be a champion. Now...in all technicality, ya could say I already met dat goal and oh yeah. I have. I’ve seen my share o’gold dis year but...some people say silver is just a liiiiittle bit more valuable. In dis instance, I gotta agree, Minoru. In my eyes, as far as New Frontier Wrestling is concerned, silver is fuck of a lot more valuable than gold...and you got da silver I want, Minoru. Da Silver Mountain Lion. Ain’t gonna deny it’s a...it’s a catchy nickname ya coined for yaself there. Enjoy it, Minoru, ‘cause it ain’t gonna be for long. Like I said before, I have a destiny to fulfill. I’m determined to show dat I am more than just someone who can throw hands with someone bigger than me. Dat I can break ‘em dahn, mentally. I can get in their head. Your head. I do know what makes you tick, Minoru. I know what grinds your gears. Not knowin’ what I’mma do next at any given moment must burn your ass, don’t it? You gotta have so many questions goin’ through your head by now, I bet. Questions like...what finisher am I gon’ choose for our match to use before I take what’ll be mine? Or even...who else am I gonna pick to fill out my five lumberjack spots?
Morgan steps back from the camera, shrugs her shoulders up with her hands up at her sides and makes a quizzical face when suddenly the tron cuts out and returns to the live feed in the ring.
Matt Salvatore: Uhh...what?
Nick Hanson: That was kind of anti-climatic, I’ll say.
Matt Salvatore: Ya think? Minoru looks as confused as we are.
Inside the ring, Minoru leans back in the corner still and looks to the crowd as if searching for an explanation before he just shrugs it off and calls for his belt. The timekeeper hands him the Silver Mountain Title and Minoru starts crossing the ring, approaching the ropes.
NA, NA NA NA NA!
NA, NA NA NA NA!
Minoru stops abruptly as Lzzy Hale’s voice erupts through the PA system, accompanied by booming drums. A grainy reel image of a Wiccan pentagram fills the tron screen, drawing a confused reaction from the audience. Minoru stands in the center of the ring as Halestorm’s “Daughters of Darkness” fully kicks in over the speakers. The actual words DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS appear on the screen in jagged, crimson lettering, overlaying the pentagram and the crowd reacts with a mixture of boos and outright shock as, from behind the curtain, Lana Corvin and Jamie Emmerson come walking out on stage in their black jackets - Lana also wearing a D.O.D t-shirt with black leggings and boots while Jamie wears her usual long, flowing black skirt with a matching t-shirt that’s been cropped under her jacket.
Matt Salvatore: Whoa, whoa, wait a minute! Wait a goddamn minute! What are they doing here?!
Nick Hanson: Matt! Those are Daughters of Darkness! That’s second generation superstar, Lana Corvin! Daughter of retired, multi-time champion, Ashe Corvin! And that’s Jamie Emmerson! Matt, that’s...that’s Morgan Payne’s sister!
Matt Salvatore: No shit but what the hell are they doing here?! They’re not signed here!
Nick Hanson: We know Minoru Tanahashi has a history with these two!
Matt Salvatore: WAIT A MINUTE!! LOOK OUT!!
The camera cuts back to the inside of the ring just as Minoru seems to get the feeling something’s off. He spins around just in time to catch a KHAO LOI FROM MORGAN PAYNE WHO CAME OUT OF THE CROWD!!!!!! Minoru hits the mat, flat on his back as Morgan grabs up the microphone and lays back over Minoru, holding a hand up in the air as she counts into the microphone.
Morgan Payne: ONE!!! TWO!!! TREE!!!!!
Nick Hanson: What?!
Morgan gets back to her feet and snatches the Silver Mountain Championship up off of the mat and leans over Minoru Tanahashi.
Morgan Payne: Just like dat, Minoru! Just like dat, wif one Khao Loi ta da fuckin’ dome, dis belt’s gonna be mine! Enjoy da top o’da mountain while you’re on it, ‘cause come WrestleWar, I’mma send your ass plummetin all the way dahn ta da fuckin’ bottom!!! And these two?
She motions up the ramp to Lana Corvin and Jamie Emmerson.
Morgan Payne: These two “little witches” as you like ta call ‘em are gonna get a up close look at it when they step in as my lumberjills! Non Facciamo...Altro...Vinto!!!
Morgan drops the microphone beside Minoru as “Death Punch Therapy” comes on over the PA system. She raises the Silver Mountain Title up over her head for a moment, taking in the boos of the audience before laying the title across Minoru’s chest.
Nick Hanson: My god, Matt! Things are already starting to boil to a head between these two and they still have a tag team match against each other later tonight!
Matt Salvatore: Ohhh shit, this is gonna be good!
==========================================================
Luthor Callaway No, we cannot squeeze that many people into the Collision Center! Do you not realize there’s still a fucking pandemic going on? Social distancing is still a thing, moron. Even if it wasn’t, the Collision Center only holds a maximum capacity of six thousand. This is goddamn Wrestle War we’re talking about here. Six thousand ain’t even a fraction of the people we’re looking to accommodate for. Safety, at that.
The camera opens up on the inside of the General Manager’s office and slowly pans across the room. We can hear Luthor before we actually see him, sitting at his desk on the phone with a vein protruding in his forehead.
Luthor Callaway There you go, genius! Now you’re thinking more realistic numbers! Now, can you manage that or do I need to let Steve know that you need me to hold your fucking hand?! Yes. Thank you, Captain Obvious! Get it done!
He hangs the phone up, slamming it down, and buries his face in both hands with a muffled groan. As his vision is temporarily covered, he doesn’t notice the door opening. The sound of a familiar voice rings true within the office.
Leina Rael-Anderson (^▽^♥) Hey Lu!
The perky little third-grader waltzes in, capturing Luthor’s undivided attention. She’s dressed in nice fall colors and looks rather boyish. As always, she takes after her late father. Leina walks up to the desk, reaches up, and lightly pats Luthor’s head. Almost instantly, Luthor’s angry demeanor softens, and by god, the man actually lets a smile, albeit small, cross his face.
Luthor Callaway Kiddo! Hey.
It truly never fails. Luthor opens out one arm and Leina steps in for a hug from the side. She steps back and Luthor looks at her, almost knowingly.
Luthor Callaway You snuck off from your Ma and Damon again, huh?
Before Leina can answer, something catches Luthor’s attention and he looks up, past the camera. His expression hardens again, but only a little. Tren Descarrilado is leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest.
Tren Descarrilado: Hey munchkin. You run around like you own this motherfu...dger, huh?
Leina Rael-Anderson ╰(◡‿◡♥╰) Well, Lu and I are really good friends, so I might as well help him run Collision!
A cheesy grin forms on her cute little face. Because she doesn’t like to look up at very tall people, especially Tren, she carefully moves some of the items on the desk before climbing onto it. She places her hands on her hips triumphantly.
Tren Descarrilado: Heh. Yo. After the end of the show, somebody got an early Christmas present in her mom's locker room.
Leina beams with delight! Tren chuckles, turning to Luthor.
Tren Descarrilado: Yo boss man. Gotta ask ya a solid, dig?
Luthor stands up from his seat to put himself more on level with Tren. Leina still stands over them with the help of the desk. The shortest person in the room is looking down at the other two!
Luthor Callaway So who’s babysitting who, here?
Luthor looks between the two, half smirking before focusing on Tren directly.
Luthor Callaway A solid, huh? I’m all ears.
Tren Descarrilado: I want Jed Coffey at WrestleWar.
Tren doesn't budge, stone-faced.
Tren Descarrilado: Motherfu...dger…
The Hispanic man looks at the child in the room, who gives him a focused look, before continuing. It’s actually fascinating that he restrains his language around her.
Tren Descarrilado: He's got it coming. I'm gonna put him in his damned place, darn it.
Leina Rael-Anderson (≧◡≦♥) Damn straight!
Well, her mother’s not around. Luthor looks between Tren and Leina, a thought crossing his features. He even takes a moment to look at a paper on his desk before nodding.
Luthor Callaway Know what? Given recent occurrences, I’m inclined to agree with you, Big T. Matter of fact? This is what I’m gonna do. You and Bloody Fairytale got that six-person tag match next Collision. I’m gonna go ahead and add to the already existing stipulation. Depending on which team wins? You and Jed decide what kinda match y’all have.
Luthor cracks a tiny grin.
Luthor Callaway Dig?
Tren grins, a rather unsettling sight.
Tren Descarrilado: Yeah. I dig alright. Thanks boss man. Oh…
Tren holds up a fist to Leina.
Tren Descarrilado: Imma let yer mom and Damon know where yer at, pequeña princesa. Pound it.
Leina pounds Tren’s fist with an adorable little “psssshhh” sound effect and the Kingdom’s Enforcer steps out of the office. Luthor sits back down in his seat and motions for Leina to hop on down. She does so in exaggerated, dramatic fashion - as much as a third-grader can, anyway.
Luthor Callaway So on a scale of one to ten, how handy does he come in at recess?
Luthor chuckles a little. Leina flashes a grin in return.
Leina Rael-Anderson (≧◡≦♥) Well, all of my classes are online, BUT if I was back on-campus, he’d be an awesome bully repellant!
Taking a seat in front of the General Manager, the little lady swings her legs back and forth, still wearing that cheeky grin. The two of them strike up a fun conversation just before the perspective of the show changes.

Singles Match
Teresa Duke v. Milisandre Crowthorne
As the bell rings, Duke and Crowthorne meet in the center of the ring. Duke is jawjacking to her about something. The words “Jansen” and “cheapshot” can be heard as she jabs her finger into Crowthorne’s chest a couple of times. Crowthorne tries to snatch that finger, but instead Duke just throws a hard slap with her other hand right across the face.
Teresa Duke: That’s what you get!
Crowthorne reaches up and touches her reddened cheek and narrows her eyes as she goes after Duke, who sidesteps her and pushes her into the turnbuckle. Duke charges in but is nailed hard with an elbow to the face that causes her to stagger back and Crowthrone launches herself out of the corner and takes Duke down with an STO. Perhaps more of an insult, Crowthorne covers Duke, but barely gets a one count. She grabs Duke by the hair and pulls her to her feet and grabs her and drops her with a sudden exploder suplex. Crowthorne slowly walks over and stands over Duke, who is holding her back. Crowthorne drops down to her knees, straddling Duke and begins to waylay her with fists as the referee counts and forces her to stop. Back on her feet, Crowthorne reaches down and pulls up Duke, who nails her a couple of times with some weak shots to the stomach and Crowthorne just drives a knee into the side of her face sending her back down to the mat. Crowthorne gives her a few annoyed kicks before pulling her back up again. She whips her into the ropes but as she goes for a leaping clothesline, Duke shifts directions and bounces off the ropes and just collides into Crowthorne with a pounce that sends her over the top and out of the ring!
Duke gets back to her feet and walks to the ropes but Crowthorne reaches up and grabs her by the feet and pulls her down and out of the ring. She presses Duke up against the ring apron and slaps her across the chest with a chop. Duke grabs her and pushes her up against the apron and nails her hard across the chest with a chop of her own. Duke whips her into the guard rail and then charges him, but Crowthorne lifts her up and drops her throat first across the guard rail as Duke falls to the ground and clutches at her neck.
Crowthorne rolls back into the ring as the referee counts Duke who manages to crawl to the ring and pull herself up using the ring apron. She pulls herself up using the ropes and then starts to crawl in between the top and middle rope when Crowthorne charges over and NAILS her with a running double knee codebreaker, bringing Duke back into the ring. Crowthorne covers and gets the one, two three, as the referee calls for the bell.
As Crowthorne gets to her feet, the referee tries to raise her hand but she snatches it back. As her music plays, she starts to leave the ring but as she almost ducks between the ropes, she turns and looks back at Teresa Duke, who is being attended to by the referee. Crowthorne changes her mind and places her foot back on the mat and walks over and grabs Duke and gives her another double knee codebreaker. She then grabs an arm and puts her in the Grip of Cthulhu! The referee is trying to get her off of Duke as the bell continues to ring.
Suddenly the crowd comes to life as Jansen Myrrh sprints down the aisle with a chair in hand and slides into the ring. She gets to her feet and takes a wild swing at Crowthorne with the chair, but Crowthorne releases the hold and slides out of the ring.
Crowthorne walks backward up the ramp as Jansen looks on Teresa. She gets up and walks to the ropes and points a finger at Crowthorne, then suddenly she just chucks the chair up the aisle, though it’s deflected as Crowthorne gets her arms up to bat it away.
Jansen Myrrh: I’m gonna fuck you up, bitch!
Crowthorne just shakes her head as she disappears off the stage as Jansen moves to check on Teresa again.
Winner: Teresa Duke
Result: Referee Decision

Backstage at the Collision Center, an intense looking Damon Cross is front and center before a camera… but not an NFW camera, it seems. Based on the way the view pans his sculpted and scarred figure, it’s a fair bet that Danni is behind it. But if the Black Ronin takes umbrage with the way his girlfriend is undressing him with her eyes, he makes no mention. He continues stretching out for his upcoming match without pause.
But his gaze indicates something entirely different. The look in his eyes is far away. His jaw is set almost angrily and the way he glares at the wall in front of him is borderline unnerving. Danni is doing her best not to let that bother her but eventually she has to make mention of it. Otherwise, what kind of partner would she be? There’s a tiny shuffle behind the camera.
Danni Anderson (◕‿◕✿) Heyyy… if you keep it up, your face is gonna freeze like that!
Naturally, she tries to make a silly little quip, a joke to break the ice. She’s hopeful. For a moment, it looks as if she’s gotten through to him. His motions pause briefly and he blinks, turning to look at her. But after a ghost of a smile he’s back to it, just as intense as before. Danni did try, though, and that counts for something…
Damon Cross: Sorry, mi reine fee…
The motions come to a stop. Placing his forearms against the cool concrete wall, Damon leans in, his face pointed down as his head rests between his arms.
Damon Cross: ...I’m just not ready for tonight. My head isn’t here. My heart isn’t, either.
Danni Anderson (⊙ω⊙✿) Chéri?
One can practically “see” the expression on the Sweetheart Esper’s face when she addresses her Blackguard. The look -- the sound of genuine concern. It’s been noted that she and her daughter Leina have been trying to cheer Damon up in recent times. However, he almost always seems to return to this state of mind… and now she’s worried. The camera draws closer to him as she approaches, her left hand reaching out from off-screen and settling on his face.
Danni Anderson (◡‿◡✿) It’s… it’s okay. I’ll be ready for the both of us! I can talk to Luthor about taking your place. I don’t mind wrestling twice in a row!
Damon Cross: No. I refuse to back out of a match.
He says such with a firmness, a forcefulness, that he has to pause after and actually look at Danni.
Damon Cross: Sorry.
Another deep breath is taken.
Damon Cross: This losing streak I’ve been on since the tournament, this virus going around and causing everyone to act a fool, HYBRID closing…
That last bit he had not spoken on much save for a tweet or two. But it is clear, seeing him talking about it in the present, that it hits him hard.
Damon Cross: ...it is making me question myself. What did I do wrong in the tournament? Did I get too confident? Should I have approached things differently? Would my trying to go back to HYBRID make a difference? I have more questions than answers. And as you and everyone can see and hear? Not once have I mentioned anything to do with NFW, the company signing my checks right now and giving me a chance to make a living. Seems like every time I step into the ring lately, I embarrass myself and the company giving me the hand. That does not sit right with me.
There’s a slight tremble of the camera in her hands. His words must feel like they’re driving a knife into her energy, perhaps even her soul. After some time, she moves, the camera pulling away from Damon for a brief moment. Then the camera is set up on a nearby table, angled in a manner that captures the both of them. Although her back is facing the camera, she walks up to her beau, wraps her arms around him, and brings him in for a cradling embrace.
Danni Anderson (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ ...even if you don’t believe in yourself tonight, tomorrow, days, weeks, months, or years… I will always, always believe in you. J-e… Je t’a… Je t’aime.
It is still a work in progress… but she has been practicing. It’s enough to bring that smile of his back a little.
Damon Cross: You’re learning well.
Pushing away from the wall, Damon still moves as though there’s weight on his shoulders. But he IS trying. He’s not so… far away now.
Damon Cross: Thank you, Danielle.
Rather than use words, Danni lifts herself up onto the tips of her toes and sweetly, deeply kisses him. Her hands move up and her fingers frolic through his dark curls. He returns the gesture, of course, but there comes a knock on the door, signalling that it’s time to get ready. They part after a moment and he nods to her, turning and heading out the door to make his way out for his match.

Singles Match
Keiji Sugiwara v. Damon Cross
Both competitors made their entrances and met in the center of the ring with a handshake. They circled up and came in for a collar and elbow tie up. Damon Cross worked at getting the early advantage by keeping hold of Keiji’s arm and using chain wrestling to wear down his energy but anyone familiar with The Last Emperor knew that’s just what he was. All energy! Energy and resilience. It was going to take something extra to keep Sugiwara down but Cross was bent on doing just that, unloading suplex after suplex of multiple variations on the high flyer in an attempt to slow the swift footed man down. Keiji stayed quick on his feet, being mostly able to slip free of Cross’ attempts to lock in submission moves until he was able to come back and flip the tables with a Handspring Pele Kick square in the forehead. Keiji found his second wind and started digging deep, throwing everything at him from Senton Atomicos, Knee Drops and Thrusting Side Kicks. He managed to lock in his Cobra Clutch in and looked like he had Damon starting to fade. The referee checked Damon’s arm, lifting it. It dropped once...twice...thre--NO! Damon kept it up and fought back with elbows to the ribs of Keiji. The Last Emperor released the Black Ronin, allowing Damon to run off the ropes and come in for a clothesline but Keiji countered with a European Uppercut.
Keiji went for an Osaka Cutter but Damon slipped free and landed on his feet, rocked Keiji with a forearm to the back of the head, then hit the ropes and came off the ropes with a Running STO for a near cover. Keiji got the shoulder up but Damon lifted him up and ran him off the ropes, popping him up for a White Thunder Bomb but Keiji reversed it into a Hurricanrana into a cover for a nearfall of his own. Damon, however, managed to kick out and send Keiji into the middle rope. As the Last Emperor made it to his feet, he went right for a springboard maneuver but Damon caught him around the neck, suddenly locking in Father’s Sin!! Both men went down to the mat but Damon managed to keep the hold locked in tight, leaving Keiji no choice but to tap, awarding the victory to his opponent.
Winner: Damon Cross
Result: Submission
==========================================================
We cut backstage where Danni Anderson is knocking on a locker room door. The NFW World Heavyweight Champion gives the standard three taps and waits for a few seconds, then a sort of grunt is heard followed by a mumbled: “it’s open.” Danni turns the handle, opens the door, and there is her tag-team partner for the night, Minoru Tanahashi. He holds an ice pack tight to his jaw with one hand as he pulls up a knee pad with the other, clad in his Silver Mountain gear for the night.
Minoru Tanahashi: Before you say anything, I’m going out there tonight.
He then looks over and blinks a few times when he sees Danni, clearly expecting someone else to be at his door. His fellow champion offers him a friendly wave.
Minoru Tanahashi: Oh, Danni. Figured it was, uh, not important. What I said goes for you, I’m going out there tonight. Morgan caught me pretty good with the cheap shot, but I’ll be good to go. Now I really want to kick her ass.
There’s a sense of relief that washes over the Pink Sugarplum Fairy. She folds her hands in front of her and a gentle smile crosses her face.
Danni Anderson (◡‿◡✿) I’m glad you’re okiedokie, Minoru-san. Heh, it’s a little weird to use that honorific. I’m so used to saying Minoru-kun or Mino-kun...
Observant wrestling fans will know she’s talking about the son of Hikaru Yamamoto-Page. She clears her throat and bounces a little.
Danni Anderson (◠﹏◠✿) Um, this is kinda weird… because Morgan’s my friend and you’re my tag partner, but… we gotta do our best, right?
Minoru Tanahashi: As I told her earlier, this wasn’t gonna be like last time me and her were opposite each other in a tag match. Even before she attacked me, I was already planning to give her and Sativa my best. You step in the ring, the bell rings, you give it everything you have, and if you’re in there against a friend, you give it even more. That’s the only real proof that you respect them.
Minoru looks over at Danni and cracks his neck before dropping the ice pack and bringing his hands to his jaw, massaging it and trying to work out a bit of the pain.
Minoru Tanahashi: And you can just call me Minoru by the way. Tanahashi is fine as well. Probably better, the kid’s been around all of you longer and everyone likes him more anyway.
He grins and chuckles a little, but then grimaces and grabs the ice pack again. Perhaps she visibly winces for him, knowing how painful Morgan’s attacks can be. She lightly toe-kicks the floor before smiling once again.
Danni Anderson (◕‿◕✿) Tanahashi-san, then! You’re well-liked, so don’t belittle yourself, okay? I’ve got your six!
Aimlessly, she looks up to the ceiling and scratches her chin in thought.
Danni Anderson (⊙‿⊙✿) Even though I’m still a little confused as to why Mary is being mean to me… I mean I am her friend, right???
Minoru Tanahashi: I don’t think that’s a question I can answer. I would say if Morgan’s actions are any indication, you should maybe watch yourself. I mean we weren’t friends, but I didn’t think we were enemies either. Titles can change people. Winning them, challenging for them, defending them. Sometimes simply having the title means more to a person than anything else and some people will go to lengths to have it. Especially if they had it and lost it.
All things considered, Sativa Nevaeh was dethroned by sweet little Danni. The World Heavyweight Championship was once hers. The red-purple haired girl contemplates this with thoughtfulness. Minoru looks at Danni’s title and then over to his own.
Minoru Tanahashi: These make us targets for friend and foe, and sometimes can make the former into the latter, Danni-san.
Hearing this, a slight frown crosses her face. She doesn’t want to believe that Sativa will actually jeopardize their friendship… so she doesn’t!
Danni Anderson (◕‿◕✿) Maybe it’s just the competition high. That’s what I’m going to believe. Let’s give ‘em our all, okay?!
She raises her hand and holds it up, waiting for a high-five. Minoru nods and gives her a high five, but doesn’t let her pull away just yet as he looks down at his partner and the current World Champion
Minoru Tanahashi: You have a good heart, Danni-san. Keep it, believe it, but remember that there are always those who would take advantage of that.
He releases her hand now and gives her another nod.
Minoru Tanahashi: Now if we are all good and on the same page, I am going to close this door so I can lay my head down on this ice pack and sob like a little baby until they tell me it’s match time.
He gives Danni a grin letting her know he’s just joking, well half-joking at least.
Danni Anderson (✿◠‿◠) Heyyy, letting out a good cry is actually helpful!
It appears the joke goes up and over the Semper Fairy’s head. With a cute little giggle, she casually waves goodbye and departs from his locker room. He’ll be ready; she can tell. He gives a respectful bow as she leaves and simply closes the door behind her to finish preparing for a tag match that has become a bit more personal, at least for him.

===MAIN EVENT===
Tag Team Match
The Regulators v. Danni Anderson & Minoru Tanahashi
This match was even more anticipated than it had already been, given events that had already transpired between Minoru Tanahashi and Morgan Payne. Minoru started the match off for his team and seemed adamant about starting against Morgan. One half of the Regulators team shrugged and convened with Sativa Nevaeh before the bell rang and the match was underway. Morgan and Minoru circled the ring but when Minoru started going for her, Morgan juked out of the way and kept a distance between them with a little grin. They circled up again and this time, Morgan backed up and leaned through the ropes, causing the referee to call for the break. Minoru was getting pissed off and the fans were booing Morgan, wanting the match to get underway. Finally, the two did lock up but Morgan guided Minoru back, more or less forcing him to push her back into The Regulators corner where Sativa blind tagged herself in. Sativa hopped into the ring and delivered a stiff kick to the back of Minoru’s leg. This allowed Morgan to slip out of the ring, grinning devilishly as Sativa went on the offense. She took the fight to Minoru with stiff strikes and all the nastiest tricks in her arsenal. Minoru weathered the storm as it came but the smaller Sativa was quick on her feet with baseball slides between the legs and back rolls over the Black Lion. Minoru fought back with Palm Strikes and European Uppercuts, finally slowing Sativa down with a Tilt-A-Whirl backbreaker before tagging in Danni Anderson.
Fans got a bit of a preview of the WrestleWar here as the World Heavyweight Champion and her rightful challenger mixed it up a little. Between the two of them, it became a high flying spectacle with both women seeing who could hit their biggest spots on one another to gain the advantage. A Shotgun Dropkick from Danni Anderson. A Northern Nights Suplex into a bridge from Sativa for a near cover. A European Uppercut from Danni. Springboard Missile Dropkick from Sativa. Sativa went for GOT ‘EM but Danni shoved her into the ropes and countered with BIG BA-DA-BOOM! Before she could capitalize, however, Sativa stumbled back into her corner and Morgan Payne tagged herself in. Danni realized she was at a bit of a strength disadvantage here but still she pressed on, able to lay into Morgan with some of her lucha strikes before going for CRACK SHOO--NO! Morgan caught Danni with her legs up on her shoulders and muscled her up into a buckle bomb, quickly following up with a Discus Lariat, flooring the Heavyweight Champion. The Number One Contender for the Silver Mountain Championship then turned and flipped the champion himself right off from where he was standing on the apron. Minoru started to get into the ring but Senior Official James Greer moved to stop him. This allowed Morgan to press her boot to Danni’s throat while she was seated in the corner. The crowd booed as she held up another middle finger to Minoru before picking Danni up and running her into the opposite corner, followed up with a running clothesline. She hit the ropes and delivered a Running Facewash to Danni, still taunting Minoru but the referee finally caught Morgan choking Danni in the corner again and ordered her back. As the ref checked on Danni, Morgan ran towards Minoru, trying for a cheap shot but the Black Lion dropped down off the apron and taunted her to come on out to him. Morgan stuck a leg out between the ropes like she was going to oblige but stepped back in and flipped her hand under her chin at him. She was all smug smiles until she turned around and Danni Anderson BLASTED her with POWER DUNK!!!!
Danni went for a cover but Morgan shoved her off and began nursing her nose as Minoru jumped up onto the apron again and anxiously called for Danni to get over and tag him in. With a hot tag, the Black Lion was back in the ring with his eyes on his target, finally. Morgan realized the predicament she was in and scrambled for the ropes but Minoru caught her by the waist, yanked her back from them and delivered a stunning German Suplex. Morgan stumbled up to her feet while Minoru popped up with a roar and caught her again, delivering a Dragon Suplex. Morgan started getting up to her feet and Minoru rushed in going for Akihabara Nights but she juked to the side of his foot and dashed past him. Off the ropes she came running in for Faugh A Ballagh but Minoru showed off some of that deceptive agility, leapfrogging over her. Morgan rebounded off the ropes once more, coming in for another attempt and BOOM!! KABUKICHO NIGHTS!!!!! That Discus Lariat of Minoru’s knocked her inside out and she ate the mat hard. Minoru dropped down for the cover, going for the pin. 2.9 but Sativa Nevaeh broke it up, literally YEET-ing herself off of the top turnbuckle and down on top of the Silver Mountain Champion! She pulled Minoru up to his feet, setting him up for Blitzed but as she had him in position, Danni Anderson came back into the fray! CRACK SHOOT!! RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!!! Sativa went down hard. Danni kipped up and the crowd joined her in a loud “ARE YOU OKAY?!” But victory didn’t taste too sweet for too long. Rather, as Danni turned away from Sativa, it TASTES LIKE TIMBALAND BOOT, BITCH!! Brutal Brogue Kick from Morgan Payne to take down the World Heavyweight Champion! Morgan popped up with a roar, beating her chest with one fist but she too turned right around into a trap as Minoru gut kicked her and...did he?! YES!!! BLACK LION BOMB!! Cover!! But Sativa Nevaeh made the save again just before three with a Standing Shooting Star Press!!! She dragged Morgan over, her partner dazed -- practically out from that Black Lion Bomb -- and tagged herself back in.
The referee was starting to count for illegal members to get out of the ring but Sativa helped along the way, pushing Danni Anderson out with her foot. The crowd was on their feet now, fully into this match as Minoru and Sativa started trading offense again while their partners recovered on the apron. The Black Lion relied on European and Uppercuts and Palm Strikes to just lay into Sativa Nevaeh but Tha Ganja Goddess fired back with knife edged chops and forearm shots. Eventually, Minoru hit Sativa so hard with a European Uppercut, she spun around but she came right back with NERF THIS!! Minoru stumbled back into The Regulators corner as Sativa got to her feet. She measured him up and came in fast, going for a SUPERKI--NO!! Minoru just barely managed to step out of the way and rather than hitting her target, Sativa ended up nailing her partner and sending Morgan right off the apron. She only had a split second or two to react, though, before Minoru seized the opportunity and hit her with a Hurricanrana as she spun around and managed to grip her legs for the three count! The crowd popped and Minoru Tanahashi celebrated with Danni Anderson as Sativa Nevaeh only took a second to show her disdain for the outcome before she met up with Morgan outside the ring. One number one contender helped the other up to her feet and the two moved back up the ramp as both champions held their belts up, directing their attention right on their challengers for the pay-per-view. It was clear that the champions weren’t going to make these challenges easy when they came!
Winners: Minoru Tanahashi & Danni Anderson
Result: Pinfall
