The Vlad Blackheart Memorial III Finals! 10/06/2020! Oct 6, 2020 20:46:41 GMT

Andrew Payne: Hello and good evening, ladies and gentlemen! I’m Andrew Payne, joined by Matt Salvatore and this is finally it!
Matt Salvatore: Absolutely, brother! It’s been a long road to this point but we are finally here: the Vlad Blackheart Memorial Tournament Finals! Twenty of New Frontier’s top competitors came together in one of the most gruelling tests of endurance, a tournament to determine who will go on to headline WrestleWar XVII against the World Champion of their brand.
Andrew Payne: Right, Matt. We know it’ll be against the Undisputed Champion. Trauma will be main eventing the grandest stage of NFW this year. The only questions left to answer are who will it be? Will it be Super Tiger - the winner of this year’s A Block - or will it be Anton Crowley - winner of B Block?
Matt Salvatore: And that other question is, who will they be facing? Andy, we got an Undisputed Championship match tonight. Cali-Kate will defend against Carter Slade in our semi-main event. A handful of possibilities for that WrestleWar main event. Hey, can you imagine if we wind up with Anton Crowley challenging Cali-Kate?
Andrew Payne: That would most definitely be something, Matt. He held the Undisputed Championship for but a fraction of a moment before Cali-Kate cashed in her title shot she earned at Invasion in February. She cashed in and won big at Sudden Death in August. That’d definitely be one hell of a headliner. I wager things have been a little tense within House Crowley, lately.
Matt Salvatore: Not gonna touch that one, man, but let’s look at the rest of tonight’s card because we’ve got some hot matches leading up to those two juicy contests! Starting things off, we’ve got the Thick Girls Club in action! They’ll be taking on the returning Bloody Fairytale! It’s been months since we’ve seen Christina Olsen and Lilith Meadows together, in the midst of what some might call an ‘episode’ for Meadows but they are back and they’re looking to prove they are still one of the top teams of the company! They laid out the challenge, Teresa Duke and Jansen Myrrh answered!
Andrew Payne: We’ll be seeing that shortly! We’ve also got more championship action scheduled. The United States Title is on the line, tonight! Matt, I do believe this is the first match of your daughter’s you’ll be calling, is that right?
Matt Salvatore: Sure is, and she’s got one tough challenger in The High Flying Finn, Tahiti Kuu! Our other title match will be on the Collision side of the roster, of course. We saw Minoru Tanahashi score a pinfall over Cass Baumer in B Block. Not only did that bump her out of the lead for the finals, but it secured him the right to challenge for the Silver Mountain Championship, as well! What kind of match is it gonna be? We don’t know! We won’t find out the champion’s choice until go-time!
Andrew Payne: I’d be lying if I said the anticipation wasn’t killing me but that’s not even all of we have for tonight! Both of those previous mentioned titles are gonna be defended at WrestleWar as well and we’re gonna find out one of those challengers tonight, in a ladder match! Four runner ups from each block are going to be vying for a contract, hanging above the ring! Members from each roster: it’ll be Damon Cross, Lluvia Cane, Jenn Drew, Layla Diaz, Morgan Payne, Sela Rica-Lark, Debby Haze and Tren Descarrilado.
Matt Salvatore: Now, Descarrilado is somewhat of an exception as he was not a participant in the tournament itself. However, he was assigned as Minoru Tanahashi’s partner in the preliminary tag team matches. Let’s be frank, Andy: Tren basically fought a handful of handicap matches and for the most part, he dominated and laid waste to the opposition. He’s got no points in the tournament itself, but seeing as Minoru Tanahashi opted for his earned Silver Mountain Title shot tonight, General Manager Luthor Callaway granted the eighth and final spot in this match to the Man Who Feels No Pain.
Andrew Payne: To say he earned it is a vast understatement, Matt. Tren Descarrilado is the definition of a workhorse and his efforts have paid off. We’ll see if they continue to do so tonight, but first, let’s hear from some of the roster competing tonight!
=ELSEWHERE=The hustle and bustle of the Collision Center in Chicago, Illinois had been getting to Tahti Kuu ahead of her US Title match against Adrianna Salvatore. When she had the chance to slip away, she did so in order to find herself a little bit of quietness though she didn’t expect to find herself in the rafters of the building. While the Finnish beauty could still hear the noise from the Vlad Blackheart Memorial Tournament #3 Finals, she found solace in being apart from everyone else. The first match of the night hadn’t even taken place yet but that didn’t prevent the woman from feeling as if she were suffocating from it being as busy as it was. The Emerald Eyed Beauty had taken a little camera with her, knowing that she was going to want to speak to everyone watching the pre-show or who were just hanging out on the website and/or Network. While she couldn’t give a full view of herself for the sake of how she was sitting/standing, it was clear that she had on her orange set of gear.
Tahti Kuu: You know, I asked for this match against Arianna Salvatore. Not long after I signed my contract, I found myself calling her out for a match. Honestly, I didn’t care if it was for the United States Championship or not...I just wanted to face someone as hardcore as Adrianna.
Tahti paused as she looked down towards the ground, able to make out the figures of fans filling the allotted seats that had been made available so that some of the fans could come back and enjoy the shows in person. The red-haired beauty sighed as she watched everyone, a light smile coming to her face as she heard the energetic and excited tones raising from the bodies in the building to the rafters where she was located.
Tahti Kuu: The fact that this is a title match just makes me want the win even more than I already did. Of course, there’s no disrespect towards Adrianna by any means...I plan on us having the match of the night if we have our way with it, but I’m hungry for a win tonight. I’m starving to have gold on my resume...in my career period. Adrianna, I’m sure you’ve faced many ‘hungry’ people in the past, but I’m a whole different kind of hungry. I’ve been doing this for over 10 years and have yet to, respectably, win gold. It’s always been just beyond my fingertips.
Tahti paused yet again, lightly shaking her head at the only title she had won in her career, a title win that she was not proud of nor chose to recognize in her history. The Finnish Beauty lightly brushed a few strands of her curly hair from her face, trying to get them back into the hood of the little jacket she wore over her gear top. Just before she was going to begin speaking again, the Finnish native heard a light ding come from her top, and she pulled her phone out of it. What? A woman has to make do with what’s available to her in various situations, and since she hadn’t told anyone where she was going or what she was doing, the redhead made sure to have her phone with her just in case. Smiling as she looked at the newly illuminated screen, Tahti saw that it was a text from Nico asking where she had disappeared to.
Tahti Kuu: You know...there’s still people out there, I’m sure, that think I feigned an interest in your brother just to fuck with you or try to get some upper hand in some way, Adrianna. With the way society is now, if there are people still thinking that, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit. That’s not the type of woman I am, not anymore at least. I’m not so full of myself to where I can’t admit that had we met 5 or so years ago, when I was someone that I no longer recognize myself as, that would have been the woman I was. I’m ashamed to admit that out loud, but it shows me just how far I’ve truly come from who I used to be to who I am now. Adrianna, while Nico has nothing to do with our match, I do want you to know that I have absolutely 0 intentions of hurting him in any way...his heart is safe with me.
Having said that, the woman sent Nico a quick return text to tell him that she would be back soon. The emerald-eyed beauty had wandered off while he had been catching up with some of his friends...her smile widened as she looked at her phone, remaining wide even after putting her phone back in her top. The woman began to cautiously move around in the rafters, carefully timing and placing her movements. Of course, any movement had to be precise or it would result in a truly grotesque accident occurring, and that was not something that the Finnish native had any plan to take part in.
Tahti Kuu: You know...championship reigns, and even wrestling careers, are quite similar to my playing the tightrope walker role up here. One wrong move and it’s all done for...you can lose everything you’ve worked so hard for. Just the slightest slip could send you reeling to the floor, to your demise...your destruction. Have you been to that point before, Adrianna? Have you been to where you thought your life was over? Have you ever felt like your life was about to become meaningless?
Tahti closed her eyes as she remained still in her position, knowing that all it took was just breathing the wrong way to throw off her balance. The foreign beauty had worked hard on herself over the years, knowing that she had changed for the wrong reasons in the past. The red-haired beauty lost her mother and her best friend within a year of each other as well as finding a brother believed to be dead, getting married as well as gaining a step-daughter, and losing a brother and father who had both been pieces of shit. And within a year or two of all of that happening, her life was viciously thrown off of the road upon her husband and step-daughter disappearing like thin air. Tahti slowly opened her eyes, her eyelids just barely fluttering as she released a breath that she hadn’t realized she had been holding.
Tahti Kuu: My life has been thrown to and fro more times than I care to truly think about. Honestly, I’m surprised I’m even here and not in jail though the incident was deemed self-defense due to the circumstances of the time. My career, my life...ultimately my being as a whole has teetered on the edge so many times before that I wasn’t sure of who I would end up being when it was all said and done. There was nothing I could do but watch myself sway on the thin line of what was going to come my way for what I had done.
Tahti swallowed hard as she moved to where the toes of her wrestling boots were just a touch over the edge of the rafter that she had been on. The long-legged beauty was keeping hold of her balance as well as keeping a handle on her movement in general, not moving enough to where she would fall, but she was also just peering down at the floor, completely silent for a few moments. She sucked a breath in, this time being aware of holding it in, before she slowly and gently readjusted herself to where her boots were no longer over the rafter, letting the breath flow from her in a soft breeze like state. The woman had been showing everything she had done, and she was almost sure that what fans were there may have been trying to get a look at her. Plus, she didn’t want to give Nico a heart attack now that he knew where she was and what she was up to.
Tahti Kuu: I had to rescue myself, Adrianna. I was the only one that could do something about getting my life back on track. I was truly alone in the world, however. The only family that had cared about me was gone, my best friend was gone, and my ex-husband and step-daughter vanished like the winter’s snow in spring. Wrestling was the only thing that made sense to me anymore, and I wasn’t even sure if I felt up to being in the ring. I pushed myself to return...I forced myself into the ring again, and all I did was fizzle out like a candle being blown out. I left the United States and returned to Finland; I tried to remake my life, but I realized that would never happen while I was there. But being a native of Finland and living in the United States brings difficulties of their own...not really something for now.
Tahti glanced down at the floor again before she began moving along the rafters once more. Doing things like going to the rafters had been a normal thing for her since starting her career. While she had never quite figured out why she liked the areas, she had figured that it had to do with being alone, in a sense. Tahti made her way to the little platform and ladder combo that was set up for minor management of things to be done in the rafters, mostly like bulb changes and whatnot, and the woman sighed once more as she looked down at the craziness that was going on below her.
Tahti Kuu: However, with that little fact being pointed out, there may be some out there that don’t believe I would be a good candidate for a United States Championship run...mostly those that saw the type of person I used to be and then those pieces of shit that can’t stand the thought of an International wrestler holding the United States Championship. If I am somehow able to beat you tonight, Adrianna, I promise that I will follow your example in being one Hell of a champion. After all, if you can’t give something everything that you have within you then why bother going after it, right? But no matter how this match ends, I plan on standing in the middle of that ring, shaking your hand and thanking you for an amazing match.
Tahti stopped speaking again in order to start her descent back to the floor and chaos that was below her. It didn’t take her too long to get back down, bumping into people and apologizing for it as she made her way to her little locker room. When she entered the room, her little camera still on and recording, a large smile grew on her face when she spotted Nico sitting there waiting for her. The red-haired beauty walked up to him and gave him a light kiss before looking into her little camera again.
Tahti Kuu: What I want for my career is what you’ve had...not in the same way by any means because there can only be one Adrianna Salvatore, but I want my own version of it all. Hopefully, after tonight, I can start the path of having my own version of it...a successful title run being a big part. After the show, though, it’s to the bar for some drinks no matter what happens.
=BACKSTAGE=Josh Davidson: With a big match coming up against the Bloody Fairytale, joining me at this time, Jansen Myrrh, Teresa Duke, The Thick Girls Club.
Jansen enters the screen on one side while Teresa enters on the other side. They have new matching outfits with “TGC” written on them. Jansen puts her arm around Josh, who seems a tad uncomfortable with that.
Josh Davidson: Jansen and Teresa, you are a fairly new team who did rather well for yourselves during the VBMT3, with six wins and 2 losses. I am not sure anyone expected you guys to gel together so quickly.
Jansen Myrrh: Joshie, let’s call it like it is. I blew some might big chunks in that tournament, winning only 6 points. But hey, I got 2 points for dropping Layla Diaz on her goddamned head, and myself and Teresa beat Layla and Shrek by… how was that again? Oh, right. I dropped her on her head again. Red there thinks she’s something special and I had to bring her back down into this stratosphere before her head got so swole that it popped. You’re welcome, Lame-la. So, not so well in the singles portion of the tournament, but Teresa and I have been kicking some major ass in the tag team portion of this tournament and who comes peeking around the corner but Brooding Fairytails…
Teresa Duke: Jansen, you keep calling them that, but they’re called Bloody Fairytail…
Jansen Myrrh: It must be my accent. Or it could be the fact of that’s how they come across to me like a bunch of whining brooding fantasy-driven dipshits. They out there living in some castle and talk about getting possessed and vampires and groovy ghoulies and some shit. I mean, give me a fucking break. Look, I’m not gonna say you can’t believe in some weird ass shit, but c’mon now. I don’t buy for one moment this shit that everyone is trying to say is going on over there at the fucking co-called castle. What’s next, Morgan is actually from outer space? Jasmine is really bigfoot in disguise? Well, I might believe that. Let’s bring it back to reality, shall we?
Teresa Duke: That’s probably a good point. Reality. You see, Jansen and I haven’t been teaming as long as Bloody Fairytale, and we may not be tight like they are either, but we are fast becoming that well-oiled machine everyone keeps talking about. We’re connecting, learning, and becoming a team that each and every other team out there had better not take lightly. We’re the Thick Girls Club and not only can we dish it out, but we can absolutely take it as well. So, bring everything you got, girls. Because I promise you, we gonna dish some out too.
Josh Davidson: I imagine there are championship aspirations here for the Thick Girls Club.
Jansen Myrrh: I like you, Josh. It’s like you can see the future. Look out there. Once we derail the Brooders from their own tag team aspirations tonight, Teresa and I are going to step up. There can be no doubt that we should be in line for a tag team championship opportunity.
Teresa Duke: We wouldn’t be tagging for the fun of it, I promise you that. We’re together because we have a singular goal and that is to wear championship gold in NFW. So once we put away the Kingdom, we’re coming for the Second City Riot Squad.
Josh Davidson: And how does that fair with you, Jansen and your friendship with Leah?
Jansen Myrrh: Leah knows one hundred percent this is about business. If Thick Girls Club get a title shot, she knows we’re gunning for it. So, we will beat the hell out of each other in the ring and then perhaps go out and have a beer or perhaps something stronger regardless of who wins the match. And of course, any time I get into the ring with Deeznuts, that’s always a bonus.
Teresa Duke: But for now, we gotta go beat up some fairy tales. Let’s go!
Josh Davison: Thick Girls Club seem ready for Bloody Fairytale and beyond. Back to ringside.
“Defenders of Valhalla” by Brothers of Metal begins to play as the crowd in attendance looks up at the ramp. There’s a confused buzz going on as the song plays and before you know it, Christina Olson is out, dressed in her ring gear. She has different gear than normal tonight, she has long, black trunks with flames going up the sides and a black top that exposes her midriff. She grins as she walks down to the ring, the crowd still unsure of what’s even going on right now. She hops up to the ring apron and slides her feet under before grabbing the bottom rope and sliding herself into the ring the rest of the way. She hops up to her feet and walks over, asking for a microphone. She takes it as it’s handed to her and she walks back to the middle of the ring and brings it up to begin speaking.
Christina Olson: Chicago! How’s it goin?!
She gets the usual city name cheap pop from the crowd as she laughs, looking out at the fans here in attendance at the Finals Event show. As the crowd dies back down, Christina raises the microphone up once again to speak.
Christina Olson: Now, I know it ain’t me, y’all are wantin to see right now. Hell, I don’t even wanna see me right now. I know y’all wanna see someone special to me and to my friends back there, someone who personifies heart, love, and innocence, someone none of y’all have seen for months now. Come, Chicago, help me welcome back my girl, my best friend, OUR Faerie, Lilith Meadows!
As Christina finishes up, “The Sylvans Path” begins to play. The arena goes dark for a moment before a singular, blue spotlight shines on the top of the stage and standing there, the familiar blonde hair of Lilith Meadows as half of her face is covered in her masquerade mask. The crowd immediately erupts for her as she looks up from the ground. The smile on her face is huge as she hears the crowd. You can see her holding back as much emotion as she can as nods her head and looks around at the crowd. She holds up her arm as blue pyro goes off behind her and the blue spotlight follows her down the ramp. She walks up the steps and through the ropes, getting into the ring before walking over to Christina and wrapping her in a big hug. The lights come back on as Lilith stands there, soaking in the warmth of the crowd.
Crowd: “Faerie! Faerie! Faerie! Faerie!”
Andrew Payne: What a warm welcome back to NFW for Lilith Meadows. The last time she was even seen, she definitely wasn’t the happy, fun loving woman we all knew her as, she was someone different.
Matt Salvatore: Yeah, Arianrhod took over Lilith and thanks to Asmodeus, we have her back, and we have Bloody Fairytale back!
Lilith asks for the microphone from Christina as she waits for the crowd to die back down. Once it does, Lilith brings the microphone up to her mouth to begin speaking.
Lilith Meadows: Wow, we never ever expected that kinda reaction from y’all. I guess y’all missed us a little bit, huh?
Lilith chuckled as she looked out at the crowd before looking over at Christina who had a smile on her face and she nodded her head at the Faerie.
Lilith Meadows: It feels like forever since we seen ya. The last time y’all seen us, we had our ribs broken in a match. From there, it started a downward spiral for us, our mind went into a very dark place and well, y’all know what happened, Arianrhod took over us, locked us away, and attempted to take total control. But we fought back, with the help of someone though, we found our way back, but we are still different than we were before. We still ain’t the same Lilith Meadows y’all knew. We’re the best of both Lilith and Arianrhod combined into one now. And we know Chrissy has evolved as well. Together, we have been workin this last month to become even better than we were before.
Christina pulls the microphone to her mouth with it still in Lilith’s hand.
Christina Olson: I know, that’s hard for us to do since we are the best tag team in NFW afterall.
Lilith shakes her head and chuckles as she pulls the microphone back and brings it back up to her mouth.
Lilith Meadows: You ain’t wrong though, Chrissy, we are the best and we are the standard in the tag team division, even if our waists ain’t showin it right now.
Christina takes the microphone now from Lilith and stands there, looking right into the camera as she suddenly gets a very serious look on her face.
Christina Olson: At WrestleWar, we get our match for the Tag Titles against Second City Riot Squad. We get the opportunity to gain back what’s ours, but between now and then, we have some doubters we gotta prove wrong, and the first two bein Jansen Myrrh and Teresa Duke, or as they like to call themselves, The Thick Girls Squad. See, I issued an open challenge to any team out there on the NFW to step up here tonight and come down to this ring and face us, and Jansen was the first to step up and accept the challenge for her team.
Christina paces the ring a little bit, Lilith looking on as she stops Chrisitna and looks up at her and just grins.
Christina Olson: But that was their first mistake. Sure, the two of them made a decent team durin the Vlad Blackheart tournament, but that’s it, they were decent. They ain’t nowhere near as good as we are and soon they’ll realize that as we kick their teeth right down their throats because as of today, Bloody Fairytale is no more, as of today, we are Fýrr…
Lilith brings the microphone to her mouth now with it still in Christina’s hand.
Lilith Meadows: Agus Oighear! Am do gach duine leá ar shiúl.
Christina Olson: It’s time for us to rise up once again, like the warriors we are and claim our spot at the top of the mountain. Tonight, when we take down Jansen and Teresa, it’s just the first step. It don’t matter who you put in front of us, all that matters is that we are gonna knock them down, one by one as we march towards WrestleWar and we take back the titles that belong to us. We’re a new and improved team, more dangerous, and just all around better than we’ve ever been. Tonight, we officially put the tag team division back on notice and we’re not stopping until we get our titles back.
Christina drops the microphone as “Tonight We Ride” by Unleash The Archers plays over the speakers and the two of them head over to their corner, discussing last minute strategy as they wait for their opponents to make their way down to the ring for their match.
