The opening chords of Bishop Briggs “Champion” are heard as the cameras open up on the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, preparing for Day 18 of the Queen of the Frontier and Vlad Blackheart Memorial Tournaments. Viewers are welcomed to the event by Nick Hanson and Miranda Augustino before the camera cuts right to the ring and the event begins.

[LEEANN VISKAN V. ERIN MERCER]
Legend and biggest fan finally clashed in a much anticipated contest for the first time as Erin Mercer and LeeAnn Viskan locked up and went straight into a trade off of trying to catch one another in a dominant hold. To no one’s surprise, it was LeeAnn who halted the scramble once she caught Erin in an armdrag and transitioned right into an armbar. Kindness aside, LeeAnn didn’t spare Erin from her sadistic behavior in the ring - just like anyone else. She locked that arm bar in with a twisted smile as she wrenched on the shoulder, causing her recently acquired protege to cry out in pain. The fans got behind Erin, however, motivating her to fight through the pain and get out of the armbar where she moved to her striking and technical game. Here, it started becoming a slightly more even contest with Erin slowly gaining an edge.
Erin controlled most of the middle of the match as she pushed through the pain and torment of LeeAnn’s submission techniques to wear the older woman down. Age might have been a small factor in LeeAnn starting to slow down but she still proved she was deadly as she managed to keep up with Erin. The two women beat the absolute hell out of each other with LeeAnn Viskan actually encouraging Erin Mercer to hit her as hard as she could. Almost like she was trying to get Erin to dig deep and find it within herself to fight harder than she ever had before. It still didn’t stop LeeAnn from putting the girl away when Erin made a fatal slip up and went for a hurricanrana to counter a powerbomb attempt but LeeAnn managed to just barely keep her footing. This left Erin in a position for LeeAnn to step forward, forcing her onto her stomach where she held Erin’s legs and locked in the Chemical Wedding until Erin tapped out.
Winner: LeeAnn Viskan
Result: Pinfall

[SERENA FROST V. EAVAN MALONEY]
A hard hitting contest ensued between these two as they came right out of the gate with a lock up into a brutal exchange of forearms, elbows and knees. Eavan managed to control much of the match through her technical prowess and longer experience over Serena’s straight up brawling style. This was actually the shortest match of the night as Eavan had no qualms going right for the face of Serena that was still protecting her broken nose. This reeled Serena enough after several forearms right to the brace mask that Eavan was able to hit the NOLA Makeover before too long and score the pinfall victory.
Winner: Eavan Maloney

[MIA HAYASHI V. ANGEL KUSANAGI]
To call this one mindblowing would have been a severe understatement as it could have easily been called match of the night. Mia Hayashi and Angel Kusanagi put on a spectacle for women’s wrestling that would definitely go down in NFW history. A hard hitting, fast paced combination of offense from both pint sized women made for an electric contest as both girls pulled out all the stops. Friendship be damned! Neither woman held back when it came to delivering their deadly Strong Style kicks and forearms, as well as Mia constantly shooting in for takedowns with Angel having to answer back with her own pankration counters.
The level intensity got turned up when Mia and Angel moved onto their more high risk maneuvers. That is to say, they started taking to the air more to try and really lay the other out. One instance saw Mia Hayashi standing outside of the ring trying to get her bearings but Angel Kusanagi came crashing down, slingshotting herself into a somersault over the top rope and onto Mia’s shoulders to deliver a hurricanrana. Mia returned the favor a couple moments later with an Asai Moonsault that arguably, went higher than anyone else on the roster had gone. The next big spot after that saw Angel whip Mia towards the ring post but Mia caught herself, catching her arm on the post to slow her run down and used the momentum to shift around the post itself. Angel quickly made up for her failed Irish whip attempt, however, by running in and hitting a Torpedo DDT on Mia between the canvas and the bottom turnbuckle, spiking Mia down on her head to where she actually stood on her head for a second before crumpling down. Mia answered back shortly after with a superkick on the apron and a Canadian Destroyer that sent Angel and herself right back down to the floor after stopping the referee’s count.
CROWD
“HO-LY SHIT!”
“HO-LY SHIT!”
“HO-LY SHIT!”
“HO-LY SHIT!”
Angel looked like she was on the ropes, so to speak, until Mia set up for a springboard attack to bring her back into the ring but Angel threw herself into the ropes, causing Mia to slip and land right down with the rope between her legs. Angel quickly scrambled then, pulling Mia off the ropes into the set up for a cradle DDT before drilling her head into the mat for a near cover. When Mia kicked out, Angel set up for the Steel Feather and delivered it right on the money, dropping Mia to the mat before going for the cover and getting the pin..
Winner: Angel Kusanagi
Result: Pinfall

[CHRISTINA OLSON V. MORGAN PAYNE]
There was a buzz in the crowd as Christina Olson made her entrance and waited in the ring for her final opponent - none other than her own teammate Morgan Payne. As Payne’s music filled the arena, however, Morgan appeared not from the crowd but up on the actual stage this time. Still absolutely reeling from the savage beating she suffered two days ago at the hands of Queen Cthulhu. Her usual fire and energy was gone as she limped towards the ring. Her face was a bruised and battered mess. Her ribs were heavily taped. One of her eyes sported a nasty shiner. Morgan looked like she’d been put through a gang beating rather than a wrestling match.
Christina Olson stood in the ring with an expression of remorse slowly coming over her. The usual fire in her eyes faded out as she watched her friend climb the steps and get into the ring; not having to bother with her entrance gear as she hadn’t even put it on. A brief cut to the crowd showed fans looking on in empathy to Morgan Payne. Was she really going to fight like this? The referee came over to quickly check with her to see if she really wanted to start this match. Despite looking diminished spiritually, Morgan nodded. The referee called for the bell and….
Christina Olson immediately dropped down and rolled out of the ring, causing the crowd to stir as she circled the ring and walked towards the ramp. Morgan Payne looked on with confusion as her friend who loved nothing more than a fight backed up to the foot of the ramp and refused to get back inside the ring to the point the ref started to count. At about 8, Morgan stepped towards the ropes to get out of the ring but Christina stopped her by walking up to the apron and pointed a finger up at her. She could barely be heard saying ‘No Morgan! No! I’m not doing this. Not with you like this!’ Morgan slowly stepped her foot back into the ring, looking at the referee as he continued to count. Christina crossed her arms and looked coldly at the fans around her. Morgan slowly collapsed onto her knees, perhaps being hit with emotion as the referee continued to count, all the way up to 20 where he called for the bell. Immediately after, Christina Olson slid into the ring and carefully pulled Morgan Payne into a gentle hug as the girl just looked absolutely worn down. Christina Olson just held her friend for a moment before helping her out of the ring and walking her up the ramp to the applause of the crowd. This was where her fire briefly returned as she rolled her eyes and flipped the crowd off, mouthing ‘Oh fuck all of you!’
Winner: Morgan Payne
Result: Countout

[JASMINE MATTHEWS V. QUEEN CTHULHU]
As per announced by Commissioner Steven Brody; due to Queen Cthulhu's interference in the Lilith Meadows v. Adrianna Salvatore match of A Block, Queen Cthulhu has been disqualified from the tournament and subsequently fired from New Frontier Wrestling as designated by Tournament Rules. Failure to be able to be present for this match will result in a No Show Loss on her NFW record. The win and 2 points will go to Jasmine Matthews.
Winner: Jasmine Matthews
Result: No-Show

"AVE SATANAS"
As his familiar theme hit, the crowd could be forgiven for assuming Judas Lasher was about to come down the aisle, full theatrics in effect, likely with Alessandra at his side. What they got, however, was the World Heavyweight Champion simply walking down the aisle, dressed in a sharp black suit and tie, the title belt over his shoulder and his long hair tied back in a slick ponytail.
Entering the ring, he called for a microphone, signalling for his music to be cut. He gave the crowd a few moments to quiet down, before giving a long, unnerving stare toward Commissioner Steven Brody.
"Before I say anything else, I want to congratulate my opponent from yesterday. Edgar, my friend... you've wanted this match for quite a while, and I can only hope the victory provides you with the elevation you so richly deserve."
"I have spent the majority of the last two weeks planning. For my future and for the future of professional wrestling. While honored to hold this title..." He said, holding the World Title aloft and looking at it for a moment. "I returned to this sport to honor my brother's memory. And while nice... this tournament? This title? None of it is what he would want. What he would want is the exact opposite of me standing in this ring with this title. Vlad Blackheart was a man with the future of this sport in mind. He spent the last ten years of his life dedicated to training the next generation. The wrestlers who would replace us. He wanted them to be pushed. To be properly utilized. To be made the stars we once were. And in this new NFW... that is not happening."
"You'll have to forgive this... dire breach of kayfabe here, Steven. I went against my better judgement and agreed to be made the figurehead of this promotion. To carry it into the future. I suggested, numerous times, that it should be Max Lebrun. That it should be Nico Salvatore. That it should be Eddy Poe. Those suggestions fell upon deaf ears, over... and over... and over. And that's when it hit me: this title does not mean that I rule this promotion. For from it... it makes me it's slave."
"So as of this moment... I am taking the exit clause in my contract, and I am resigning from NFW." He continued, the fans shocked into silence by this point. "For too long, I have clung to the idea of The Dominion being a small, exclusive faction. I will no longer be so closed-minded, nor as arrogant, as to keep this antiquated idea going. For The Dominion to truly evolve, to truly rise, and to truly conquer... we must grow. Both in stature and in mission statement."
He looked towards the locker room, pointing to everyone in the back.
"There are others... others in this very promotion who see my goal, and wish to embrace it. Thank you for firing your daughter, by the way, Steven." He grinned for a moment, giving a shrug toward the commissioner. "Others will take similar exit clauses in their own contracts. The memory of Vlad Blackheart will not be honored with tournaments, or with trophies, or with distasteful angles. No... he will be honored by having his spirit witness the true birth of the next generation of professional wrestling. He will be honored by watching The Dominion become not what I brought to NFW, but what he wanted it to be: a true, real, loyal brotherhood."
"Today marks the end of my reign as World Heavyweight Champion, as well as my employment by this company. I apologize, Steven... and I wish you the best of luck in your future. MY future... and the future of anyone in that locker room who stands by me... lies with Dominion Pro Wrestling. Why serve in heaven... when you can reign in hell?"
With that, he dropped the belt to the mat, and without another word, left the ring, walking through the crowd to exit.

HANSON
"Wait, wh...what?!"
AUGUSTINO
"HUH?!"
HANSON
"Judas Lasher is walking out on NFW?!"
AUGUSTINO
"And he just vacated the NFW World Championship!"
HANSON
"And what does he mean by exit clause? Who all is walking out?!"
AUGUSTINO
"I don't like this, Nick! This is a low blow!"
HANSON
"I...We'll find a way to get up from it, Miranda...we gotta...."
Once Judas left, Commissioner Steven Brody came storming down the ramp where Roger Arden handed him the NFW World Championship belt. Steven Brody took it into his hands and looked down at the vacant title. He closed his eyes and lifted his head to the ceiling in a display of controlled frustration before looking into the crowd aisle to watch Judas Lasher go. A look of utter betrayal written on the man's face before he walked up the ramp, carrying the title at his side.

[MIGUEL VILLALOBOS V. WILLIAM MANNHEIM]
In a battle of two powerhouses, The Wolf King and The Mangler went toe to toe in an absolute slugfest. William Mannheim remained careful not to use his injured hand, though Miguel appeared to be in a ravenous act to get more points in his final match as he kept a constant focus on that hand, making it his target for most of the match. As the moments went on throughout the match, Miguel and Mannheim brawled inside and outside the ring with the Wolf King gradually working on peeling off the wrapping to the cast whenever he had a moment in between strings of traded offense. Mannheim certainly fought back against it to try and keep the cast on his hand while also using his other hand for his strikes. Everytime he went for some kind of grapple or throw, however, Miguel simply grabbed that injured hand and sent pain shooting through the Mangler’s appendage.
William Mannheim refused to let his physical handicap hold him back too much, however, as he continued to fight back against the younger, more ferocious opponent he was sharing the ring with. Deliverance was out of the question due to the punishment to his hand he had taken. An attempt at it even almost cost him the match as Miguel managed to counter out of the lift with a surprisingly nimble DDT counter. When the Wolf King attempted to go for his one handed chokebomb, however, Mannheim batted his arm down and struck him with a headbutt. Miguel stumbled back into the ropes but came back with an attempt at a big boot. Mannheim, however, evaded it, running passed the Wolf King and came back off the ropes to deliver Three Sheets To The Wind with the arm that had the broken hand. Mannheim reeled in pain but he put the full force behind the move; enough for him to score the victory in his last block match.
Winner: William Mannheim
Result: Pinfall

[WYLD STALLION V. HAVOK]
Once again, Havok showed his more ferocious side as he practically bum rushed Wyld Stallion as soon as the TV Champion set his second foot into the ring. The bell officially rang once the masked man ripped the title off of Stallion’s waist and tossed it out of the ring, discarding it like a piece of garbage before going right back to laying the boots and forearms to him. James Reynolds, all the while, shouted commands and encouragement to his client. Wyld Stallion fought back once he got up to his feet, getting a good couple minutes of offense in until he went for a rebound off of the ropes. Havok ducked underneath the smaller man’s leap frog and came back off the ropes. Wyld Stallion went for a spinning heel kick but Havok baseball slid under it to deliver a sliding lariat right to the knee of his grounded leg. Wyld Stallion shouted out in pain as he hit the mat, grabbing his knee. The commentators recapping how the last time Havok had done this to anyone, it was to Jason Phoenix who had been put on the injured list.
From there, it was all Havok as Wyld Stallion tried to find his footing again but Havok stayed on him like a trained attack dog, tossing him around the ring with his power moves before finally delivering the Disasterpiece. Havok went for the pinfall but Stallion kicked out of it at the last possible second, out of desperation. Immediately coming out of the cover, Havok twisted Wyld Stallion right into an Indian Deathlock, applying full pressure to that damaged knee until the young rising star tapped out, desperately wanting to be let out of the hold.
Winner: Havok
Result: Submission

[CHRIS WOLFE V. BUZZSAW]
In a long awaited rematch from WrestleWar XV, Chris Wolfe and Buzzsaw battled it out in a brutal, hard hitting match that saw both men digging deep and dishing out their hardest strikes on one another, trying to break their other down. Chris Wolfe soon went to his technical wrestling, attempting to wear down Buzzsaw but Buzzsaw countered much of the moves with his mixed martial arts counters and takedowns. Buzzsaw reminded everyone of his deadliness near the end of the match as he showed that perhaps Chris Wolfe’s defeat of him last time was a result of possible luck and the fact that it was a triple threat match. Here and now, in a one on one, Buzzsaw systematically began to break Chris Wolfe down until he managed to lock him right into the DNR, choking the man out until he tapped out.
Winner: Buzzsaw
Result: Submission
Time: 18:48

[ERIC LEE V. VINCENT STONE]
Eric Lee and Vincent Stone put on a decent back and forth contest that saw Stone dig deep and try to match Eric Lee’s striking game with his own. Lee had that tenure in wrestling and the martial arts background, however, to keep the underdog Vincent Stone right where he wanted him for the beginning of the match, feeding him knees and elbows the corner until the referee had to break them up. It didn’t stop Eric Lee, however, from laying into the younger man even more.
Vincent Stone made Eric Lee feel his presence, however, once he started moving to his aerial maneuvers. The man soaring around the ring as he delivered hurricanranas and springboard dropkicks and armdrags galore to the UltraViolent God. The tenured veteran of wrestling had an answer for just about everything Stone threw at him and was eventually able to catch him in a slip up and nail Visions of Insanity for his final win of the tournament.
Winner: Eric Lee
Result: Pinfall
Time: 19:53
================================================================
[MATT KLAZZIC V. NICO SALVATORE]
Matt Klazzic and Nico Salvatore put on, arguably, THE match of B Block for the Vlad Blackheart Memorial. How fitting as it was the very last block match to take place. King’s Road met Strong Style and Technical Submission in a brutal contest that saw Nico trying to put Matt away as quickly as he could. Matt, on the other hand, was methodical and maintained a steady pace in the match as he constantly slowed Nico down with holds and takedowns before transitioning right into a brutal driver or a flat out stiff forearm right to the man’s jaw or body.
Matt’s head of steam came to a steady halt once Nico managed to start getting more of his own counter offense in, feeding Matt forearms, elbows and knees. Taking him down for armbars, sleeper holds and leg submissions. Matt continued to persevere, desperately reaching the ropes at one point while Nico had a Sharpshooter locked in.
It looked like it was all Nico from this point as he continued to chip away at NFW’s greatest underdog who had been telling one hell of a success story in this tournament. That story would find it’s happy ending as Nico nailed Matt Klazzic with the Key to Orkas but Matt managed to get his hands up to block most of it. Nico still hoisted him up for the GFY but Matt slipped down behind him and delivered a high angled Backdrop Driver. As Nico reeled on the mat, holding his neck, Matt scrambled to pick him up again and hit his Northern Lights Driver for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Matt Klazzic
Result: Pinfall
