The opening chords of Bishop Briggs “Champion” are heard as the cameras open up on the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California preparing for Day 16 of the Queen of the Frontier and Vlad Blackheart Memorial Tournaments. Viewers are welcomed to the event by Nick Hanson and Miranda Augustino before the camera cuts right to the ring and the event begins.

[ANGEL KUSANAGI V. SERENA FROST]
Angel Kusanagi and Serena Frost wrestled a surprisingly respectful match in the beginning moments. The two women were no longer at odds unlike the last time they squared off so much of Angel’s own taunting was not seen as she respected her stablemate’s boundaries. She was also careful of the face brace mask protecting Serena’s nose, despite one point where used it to her advantage and feigned like she was going for a straight shot to the face but stopped as Serena brought up her guard. Angel tapped her temple - ‘got ya’ - and kicked Serena in the midsection before moving onto her stiffer strikes and concentrated grapple takedowns.
Angel didn’t have anything guarding her face to worry about so Serena fired back with her own deadly offense of jabs and crosses, trying to keep her quick footed team mate - currently opponent - unsteady and maybe even a little dizzy to prevent her from taking to the air. It worked for a few moments until Angel started countering again and began taking flight with springboard and handspring attacks, picking up the pace of the match again.
Angel’s knack for getting too ahead of herself and letting her cockiness show proved to be the end of the match, however, as she went for an attempt at the Steel Feather. Serena ducked and shoved her towards the ropes. Angel hopped up and attempted to go for a springboard back elbow but Serena caught her right in the back with a forearm, staggering her and put her away with the Ice Age for the pinfall.
Winner: Serena Frost
Result: Pinfall

[CHRISTINA OLSON V. ERIN MERCER]
People were right to expect an absolute war out of this one as both women rushed each other the second they were both in the ring. Erin Mercer had even removed her jacket on the ramp as she clearly intended on getting at Christina immediately. The two redheads exploded on each other in the center of the ring, garnering a roar from the Los Angeles crowd as they traded rapid, vicious shots back and forth. The majority of the audience, deafeningly got behind their hometown girl, Erin Mercer as she got the first advantage of the match, laying into Christina Olson with stiff kicks and using her characteristically ‘thicc’ legs for bursts of power, tossing Christina around with snap vertical and German suplexes.
Christina had her own bag of tricks, though as she began to flip the tables around, using her speed and agility to fight back. It didn’t help Erin that her shoulder was still wrapped and was, thus, a target for her latest rival. A quick superkick right to the deltoid slowed Erin down and Christina began focusing on the injury just to bring pain to her opponent. Christina kept Erin fighting to her feet with unpredictable aerial attacks that saw her coming at the Red Queen from every which direction. Just when it looked like Christina had Erin right where she wanted her, Olson came in for a springboard forearm and ate a hard roundhouse right to the side of the face that reverberated throughout the area. Erin didn’t need her shoulder, then, to hit her signature Twerk and Moonsault, even getting up to play to the crowd the way she usually did when she was feeling like her normal self.
Erin and Christina continued back and forth, going harder and harder with their strikes and takedowns on one another but it was the one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions that picked up the two points when she managed to get to her feet and counter Erin’s climb to the top turnbuckle with a reverse Frankensteiner, followed by climbing to the top herself and delivering the Firestarter for the three count.
Winner: Christina Olson
Result: Pinfall

[MORGAN PAYNE V. QUEEN CTHULHU]
The crowd went absolutely nuts as soon as the match began. That is to say, they roared and booed as Morgan Payne watched the masked woman enter the ring. As soon as she turned her back to intimidate the crowd, however, Morgan rushed across the ring and was on her, unleashing a brutal storm of forearms and double axe handles. Morgan didn’t take long before she went right to her heavier maneuvers, starting to try and slam Cthulhu around the mat. This was her first mistake, however, as she hadn’t worn the woman down quite enough yet and Cthulhu was able to reverse out of a German attempt and come in with a hesitating dropkick right to the back of Morgan’s neck. This slowed Morgan down and opened her up to Cthulhu’s painfully stiff strikes that obviously had nothing held back behind them. Cthulhu was kicking, elbowing and feeding forearms at full force. Her hatred coming out on the second Kingdom Member she was set to face in the tournament. And for everyone who had been following the history, they knew exactly what Morgan had done specifically to earn Cthulhu’s wrath.
Morgan stayed true to her family's legacy, though and was evidently not going down without putting up the fight of a lifetime. Once she was down on one knee, Cthulhu came running in, looking to go for The Call of Cthulhu but Morgan shot up with a stiff European Uppercut, knocking the woman for a loop. Morgan Irish whipped the masked wrestler and dropped her with a drop toe hold, causing her to get hung up on the middle rope. People watched as Morgan ran off of the ropes across the ring, looking for something big but stopped short. Tricking the crowd and Cthulhu out, Morgan grabbed the top rope, hopped over to land on the apron before running and delivering a basement dropkick right to the HEAD of Queen Cthulhu!! Cthulhu fell off of the rope and hit the mat, rolling under the bottom rope and onto the apron. Morgan pulled her up, pressing the advantage. The crowd exploded with an emphatic roar as Morgan snatched Cthulhu up and delivered a Backdrop Driver right onto the apron, sending both women to the ringside floor.
Both women made it to their feet before the twenty count with Morgan breaking it up by rolling in and back out of the ring. She continued to advance on Queen Cthulhu, staying on her as much as she could. Cthulhu slowed her down finally as Morgan was approaching her while she leaned against the ringpost, catching Morgan off guard with a superkick. As Morgan stumbled away and down the length of the ring, Cthulhu ran in to deliver a dropkick and sent Morgan brutally face first into the other ringpost. Her face SMACKING against it. It didn’t take long before the camera caught sight of blood running from her nose. Queen Cthulhu was the one to break up the referee’s 20 count this time before going after Morgan again and mercilessly throwing her around the ring, including into the fan barricade before coming in and actually nailing her with the Call of Cthulhu against the barricade, directly in the midsection. Cthulhu picked Morgan up and threw her into the ring. Morgan pulled herself up to her hands and knees. Blood visibly dripped from her face and onto the mat; also out of her mouth and down her chin. Tears welled up in her eyes that said her nose was possibly broken. It was Serena Frost all over again...but worse. Shakily, Morgan pushed herself up onto her knees, not even aware that Queen Cthulhu was running passed her and coming off the ropes to hit another Call of Cthulhu directly to the face. As the crowd reacted emphatically, Cthulhu got back to her feet and immediately reached for Morgan’s arms, rather than make the cover. She picked Morgan up onto her knees by the wrists. A quick glimpse showed the blood running from Morgan’s nose and mouth right before Cthulhu reared back her knee and…..
You have never stood this close to where you want to be
You have always waded in the shallows between me and the deep blue sea
You'd never want me to appear
You never want this to be over
You never want it to reach out to the edge of time
Ghost’s “Witch Image” sudden came on over the speakers and the crowd began to buzz as Lilith Meadows came storming from the curtain and down the ramp. Queen Cthulhu immediately let go of Morgan Payne’s hands and turned to glare at the blonde from under her mask. The referee immediately got out of the ring and blocked Lilith off trying to reason with her, reminding her of the consequences of interfering with a tournament match. Lilith stood there, fuming at the ref before looking passed him with tears forming in her eyes at the bloodied Morgan Payne in the ring. Queen Cthulhu hunched down in front of the Pittsburgh woman, almost daring Lilith to come in but the referee managed to talk Lilith back. The tears finally came as Lilith shrieked out at Queen Cthulhu.
“I hate you! ….. I HATE YOU!!”
Queen Cthulhu just stood there, hunched and ready. Daring her still...when all of a sudden, a bloodied face Morgan Payne grabbed her under the legs and rolled her up, throwing all of her weight down on the woman and holding her tights. Something the referee didn’t see as she hurried back into the ring to make the count. The crowd was in shock as she counted 1...2...3! “Cookie Cutter Bitches” filled the arena as Morgan Payne threw herself off of Queen Cthulhu and rolled out of the ring, hitting the floor. Lilith immediately ran to her and pulled her to her feet, helping her away from the ring with a surprised look on her face. Morgan was in no condition to celebrate as she was practically leaning on Lilith up the ramp.
Winner: Morgan Payne
Result: Pinfall

[EAVAN MALONEY V. MIA HAYASHI]
Another rematch fans had been buzzing for took place as Eavan Maloney and Mia Hayashi circled the ring and engaged in a lockup. As expected, the two women engaged in a back and forth battle for dominance, using their short statures and agility to maneuver around the ring quickly. Eavan Maloney caught the initial advantage in the match and started laying into Mia with stiff kicks and elbows but it wasn’t long of a stretch before Mia started coming back with kicks of her own, beginning to come off the ropes with hurricanranas, DDTs, armdrags and the like. The two were clearly on practically even footing; impressive given the fact that Eavan had more years of experience over her cosplaying opponent. And the fans knew it.

CROWD A
“LIT-TLE DE-MON!”

“LET’S GO MIA!”
Both women began to dig deep into their arsenal, coming off of the ropes with Springboard attacks and aerial dives outside of the ring. Eavan focused more on counters and takedowns but Mia was all about soaring around the ring with every aerial move in the book. The two women wrestled all the way down to the one minute mark. The end saw an exchange of finisher counters as Mia finally got Eavan up for the Supreme Thunder but Eavan brought elbows down on top of Mia’s head to stall her in the follow through. She was able to get her other leg back up over Mia’s shoulder then and deliver a reverse hurricanrana. As Mia started coming up onto her feet, Eavan ran off of the ropes for the NOLA Makeover but Mia caught her with a spinning back elbow. Mia went for the Supreme Thunder again but Eavan slipped off of her shoulders and caught her with a reverse Lungblower, rolling her right into the Krigare. Mia struggled against the hold, trying to get to the ropes as Roger Arden announced 30 seconds left on the clock. The fans were ROARING. Half yelling for Mia to at least hold on. The other half yelling for Eavan to add torque to the maneuver. Both women tried to abide by their supporters but it was Eavan who won out as she wrenched back on Mia’s neck, causing the woman to have no choice but to tap out on the mat, signaling the submission.
Winner: Eavan Maloney

[LEEANN VISKAN V. JASMINE MATTHEWS]
This was about as hard hitting and stiff as anyone thought it would be. As usual, there was Jasmine Matthews, showing her greatness as she strutted sensually to the center of the ring. LeeAnn Viskan met her with a standoff, looking the younger woman who was about her daughter’s age right in the eye with an unphased coldness. The match started off, finally, with Jasmine going for the first strike and LeeAnn catching it right into am armdrag takedown, flipping it into an armbar. Jasmine remained calm on the mat, used to this from her MMA career and reversed right out of it, able to catch LeeAnn behind the head with her seized arm and...right into a triangle hold! The fans popped as they saw how this match was going to be between the two. LeeAnn punched her way out of the hold on Jasmine’s leg, essentially giving her a ‘dead leg’ and the hold was broken. LeeAnn pounced on Jasmine again and the two were caught up in another grasp for control over the other, switching up hold attempts. This was where LeeAnn’s twenty plus years of experience seemed to serve her well and it looked like she was starting to work Jasmine over until the Fanged Rose broke up the trade off with a stiff forearm to the jaw. This got a boo from the crowd as they saw it as underhanded but all they got from Jasmine was response was a middle finger, before licking her hand and giving her ass a smack at them.
Jasmine’s brutality and intended stiffness brought out that wild side of LeeAnn and the two began going absolutely HAM on each other. It only took a few times for Jasmine to cease her usual attempts at seductive taunting as each time she tried it on LeeAnn, the veteran woman capitalized on the opening while she still had the energy to and caught Jasmine in a flurry or strikes or one of her submission holds. One of those holds was the Chemical Wedding that looked like it was nearly going to end the match but Jasmine managed to get to the ropes. Jasmine also managed to catch LeeAnn in the Constrictor but after a moment of struggling, LeeAnn got to her feet, putting herself in a reverse suplex position. She grabbed Jasmine up around the head, however and pushed up with her legs, effectively flipping it into a Salida Del Sol to break free.
LeeAnn then went for the Chemical Wedding again but Jasmine managed to keep one leg free and kick at LeeAnn’s head as she leaned down to try and grab it. This happened a few times before Jasmine was able lean up and pull her leg free, catching LeeAnn with a double leg takedown. As LeeAnn moved to get to her feet, here came Jasmine with the Ice Cold, knocking the woman nearly...well...out cold, for the pinfall.
Winner: Jasmine Matthews
Result: Pinfall

[WILLIAM MANNHEIM V. BUZZSAW]
William Mannheim and Buzzsaw put on an absolute war with a mixture of Mannheim’s strength and shoot style against Buzzsaw’s own shooting and brutal kicks. Between these two it looked more like a legit shoot fight than a professional wrestling contest. Mannheim attempted to overpower Buzzsaw with his takedowns to gain a dominant position on the mat to catch the man in a ground and pound but Buzzsaw wasn’t having it and continued to fight back with his own attempts at catching Mannheim in various submission attempts.
The two continued on with Mannheim having much of the power game in his corner while Buzzsaw had the agility and quickness. Mannheim tried a few times for Three Sheets To The Wind with Buzzsaw evading the arm. He also tried for the Deliverance which saw Buzzsaw able to flip out of the setup and attempt the DNR on the big man but was unable to take him down. Finally, Buzzsaw began unleashing a brutal, almost desperate flurry of kicks and strikes to the body, wearing the big man down until he fell to a knee. There, Buzzsaw delivered not one...not two...but THREE Buzzsaw kicks before Mannheim fell to the mat and he was able to get the pinfall.
Winner: Buzzsaw
Result: Pinfall

[MIGUEL VILLALOBOS V. HAVOK]
The instant the bell rang, both men stepped out of their corners and came nose to nose. Two rippling masses of muscle staring each other right in the eyes as the budding tension grew and grew. Miguel began to tremble with the rage of an untamed animal. Havok’s shoulders began to rise and fall with deep breaths as if he were ready to explode. Finally, the two did explode with Miguel throwing the first shot. Havok cocked back and fed him one in return and the two started throwing shots back and forth, really laying into one another with both men seemingly on equal footing for the most part.
While it was essentially a powerhouse match, it was anything but dull and slow. Both men had speed and quickness to move across the ring like a couple of linebackers. The explosive power to snap each other up and drive them into the mat with legitimate takedowns. Miguel had the ability to strike like a mac truck while Havok never failed to impress with his ability to catch a limb and turn it into a submission attempt. One of those attempts saw him lock on the Straight Jacket but Miguel was able to reach the ropes and break out. The Wolf King then, soon after, managed to catch Havok in Dia de los Muertos but the landing sent Havok rolling out of the ring, preventing a pin attempt. When Havok attempted to get back into the ring, Miguel came running at him but Havok pulled the ropes down. Miguel spilled over and Havok hit that beautiful Asai moonsault, bringing all of his 265lbs down on the Wolf King.
As the two continued to brawl, Miguel looked like he was maintaining the edge just enough to keep Havok on his toes. The climatic moment finally saw a dazed Havok in the ring, looking exhausted as Miguel ran in for a clothesline from hell but Havok suddenly hit him with a pop up onto his shoulders and flipped him right into the Disasterpiece for the surprising pinfall.
Winner: Havok
Result: Pinfall

[ERIC LEE V. CHRIS WOLFE]
Eric Lee and Chris Wolfe locked up and engaged in a lockup and started trying to out strike and out grapple one another all across the ring. It was one of those late tournament matches that saw both men dish out their hardest strikes to one another. The fans openly cringed as the men traded kicks and elbows. Chris Wolfe was certainly left wobbly on his feet once Eric Lee started unloading on him with legit Muay Thai strikes; using his discipline in the martial art to evade most of Wolfe’s attempts at clotheslines and spinning heel kicks before twisting around and hitting him with precise kicks or elbows.
Chris Wolfe started returning the strikes and suplexes against Wrestling’s Richard Ramirez but the Ultra-Violent God proved to be another match that the Big Bad one could just barely stand up to. Chris went for the Direwolfe but Eric Lee rolled sideways off of his shoulders. Chris turned around right into a kick in the ribs and Lee went for Whispers In The Dark but Chris used his momentum of being lifted to land behind him. When Lee turned around, Chris went for a superkick but Lee caught it and drove a Muay Thai elbow down into the knee, staggering Chris. This left him open and Lee grabbed the superstar around the neck, quickly hitting Visions of Insanity for the pinfall.
Winner: Eric Lee
Result: Pinfall

[MATT KLAZZIC V. VINCENT STONE]
In another match that would probably be in contention for hardest hitting contest, Vincent Stone and Matt Klazzic shook hands before squaring up in the ring. One could see the exhaustion playing on their bodies and in their eyes. The tournament up to now had been wearing on them as it had everyone else. The two started off with a lockup, which moved right into their exchanged attempts at takedowns, armdags and suplexes. Matt Klazzic was more versed in the suplex game than Vincent Stone with the King’s Road practitioner literally manhandling Stone across the mat with slams and takedowns.
Vincent Stone answered back with his arsenal of stiff strikes, mostly relying on his kicks to keep Matt from using too many dangerous moves on him. Everytime Matt did get his hands on Stone, however, he popped the man up and managed to slow down his momentum. Stone persevered, however, and refused to stay down even after a Northern Lights Driver that almost saw him get taken out. In the end, he blocked an attempt at a second one and reversed it right into the Fatality driver to score the pinfall over B Block’s most dominant superstar.
Winner: Vincent Stone
Result: Pinfall

[WYLD STALLION V. NICO SALVATORE]
The final match of the night had electricity in the air for the sheer anticipation of seeing these two in the ring. The two got nose to nose with Nico raising an eyebrow and pointing to the crowd while telling Stallion “they want this. Let’s give it to them.” The two shook hands and Nico went for a sneak shot, swinging at Stallion but the Television Champion ducked under it and began unleashing an array of hard kicks and shots for the man’s penance. Stallion kept up with the offense for the better portion of the match’s beginning but as soon as Nico saw that opening, he caught the high flyer with a straight up right hand that stopped his momentum dead in his tracks. Nico followed up with an Irish whip into a discus lariat that knocked Stallion inside out and began unleashing his own hard hitting blows as well as his technical wrestling and submission attempts.
Wyld Stallion came back into control as he always did, fighting through the obstacle that was Nico’s varying offense, managing to land some of his bigger high flying moves on the Urban Gladiator. Nico put a stop to that again, however, catching Stallion on a handspring back elbow attempt with a Key to Orkus right to the back of the head. As Stallion reared, Nico came off the ropes and delivered a second Key to Orkus, proper, to the face. Stallion started to go down by Nico caught him by the arm and lifted him across his shoulders to deliver the G.F.Y for the pinfall!
Winner: Nico Salvatore
Result: Pinfall
