Prior to the opening of the show, there is silence as a lone image appears on the screen for just a moment. The only thing we can hear, at first, is the ambient noise in the arena as it is evident the image is being shown on the video wall. Seconds later, we hear the slow ringing of the bell from the time keeper. Ten rings echo throughout the ringside area....
After another brief moment of silence, the show begins as planned.
The opening chords of Bishop Briggs “Champion” are heard as the cameras open up on the Chase Center in San Francisco, California, preparing for Night 8 of the Queen of the Frontier and Vlad Blackheart Memorial Tournaments. Viewers are welcomed to the event by Nick Hanson and Miranda Augustino before the camera cuts right to the ring and the event begins.

[ANGEL KUSANAGI V. JASMINE MATTHEWS]
Fans got just what they expected when the bell rang for this one. When you had a pair like Matthews and Kusanagi facing off, it was going to get interesting. Between the violent exchanges of strikes, there was the controversial taunting from Jasmine that Angel actually seemed delighted with. One point saw Angel backed into a corner while Jasmine propped her leg on the top rope and began to suggestively gyrate her hips to the mixed reaction of the crowd as she grinned wickedly at them. Angel took the brief window of opportunity, lunging in with a forearm to Jasmine’s jaw before grabbing her and throwing her back into the corner herself. Angel fed the Queen of the Kingdom three more forearms, pausing then to hold her by the head and -- to an equally loud reaction from the crowd - run her tongue up the side of Jasmine’s face before giving a final forearm to the jaw to knock her down, setting her up for Angel’s running cannonball.
It was mostly an even match, even when the two women decided to move to more of an MMA style offense. Jasmine Matthews had the power behind her kicks, though and it showed to be enough to wear Angel Kusanagi down before locking her in The Constrictor submission hold. Jasmine began whipping the woman back and forth across the mat, working on making her tap out. Angel continued to try and pry her way out of it, however, not tapping but eventually fading until she went completely limp and the referee called for the bell.
Winner: Jasmine Matthews
Result: Submission

[MIA HAYASHI V. MORGAN PAYNE]
Another matchup that was highly anticipated in for women’s B Block saw Mia Hayashi and Morgan Payne meet. This was a somewhat emotional match as Payne was someone Hayashi considered a friend once. Given recent events, however, Morgan clearly thought differently as she had no problem getting right into the mix with Mia. The match stayed back and forth, though Morgan clearly had the power advantage while Mia was faster on her feet and able to catch Morgan off guard with handsprings and springboards. When Mia went for that handspring pele kick, however, Morgan caught her around the waist and held her in place for a moment, countering Mia’s attack right into a stalling, deadlift German Suplex with a bridge for the near cover. Mia kept herself alive, though, answering back Morgan’s ruthless assault with staying quick on her feet and keeping Morgan guessing as to where she was going to come from next. She caught her a few times but there were those moments where Morgan showed she was improving more on the technical side of wrestling. One of Mia’s attempts at a springboard back elbow saw Mia get caught with on Morgan’s shoulders where Morgan promptly delivered the Downtown After Dark. However, she nailed it so close to the ropes that Mia rolled out and onto the floor, saving herself from a pinfall.
Morgan Payne put the hurt on Mia Hayashi and vice versa as Mia garnered a Small But Mighty chant from the crowd as she refused to let Morgan keep her down. Eventually, Morgan finally went for the Art of Ruin but Mia dropped down, evading the girl’s hands and managed to lift her up onto her shoulders, delivering the Supreme Thunder for another pinfall victory.
Winner: Mia Hayashi
Result: Pinfall

[CHRISTINA OLSON V. SERENA FROST]
Another Kingdom vs Unwanted matchup saw, possibly the two most temperamental women of each group meet face to face in tonight’s B Block event. Trash talking and shoving was how the match started off before Frost and Olson just started trading shots back and forth, seemingly trying to knock each other out. Serena stuck to her brawling while Christina took to the air, bounding off the ropes with moonsaults and crossbodies. When they took it to the outside, Christina ran in fast and soared over the ropes with a Tope Con Hilo, coming right down onto Serena.
Outside of the ring was more Serena’s element, though, as the woman quickly made her comeback, striking mercilessly with fists and elbows and whipping Christina into the steps, sending her up and over. Serena kept up the advantage outside of the ring and threw Christina back in. As she slid back in, however, Christina was up and charging in for a low dropkick to her opponent’s legs. As Serena Frost started getting to her feet, Christina Olson set up, ready and waiting to hit a springboard flying forearm smash as the woman came up. Following that, Olson quickly scaled the turnbuckle to a mixed reaction and delivered the Firestarter, hooking the leg to score her first win of the tournament.
Winner: Christina Olson
Result: Pinfall

[ERIN MERCER V. EAVAN MALONEY]
Erin Mercer and Eavan Maloney circled the ring in the opening with Eavan clearly eyeing that wrapped shoulder of Erin’s. It didn’t stop Erin, obviously still in her emotional state over the past couple weeks, from starting the action off by coming right at Eavan like a bat out of hell. Eavan pressed through the rage fueled offense of Erin and started working on her shoulder with every trick in the book. Eavan transitioned Erin from armbars to hammerlocks to shoulder tackles. Erin found it difficult to nearly impossible to get Eavan up for most of her suplex attempts. She was able to hit her signature Booty Poppin’ Moonsault to attempt a cover but following up with her Spinning Elbow Smash proved to be a mistake as it slowed down her comeback against the Women’s TV Champion.
Eavan took the fight back to Erin, continuing to manipulate her shoulder to the point that the crowd got completely behind Erin as she seemed to be back in that underdog phase again. The crowd started a “Let’s go, Erin, let’s go!” chant. This seemed to fire the redhead up, making her willing to fight back even harder. Eavan Maloney continued to keep Erin Mercer on the ropes, before going for the Krigare. Erin held onto the top rope, not letting Eavan pull her down into the reverse lungblower setup. This sent Eavan crashing to the mat and as she came up, Erin hit a superkick out of desperation, sending Eavan down and turning over onto her stomach. As she started pushing herself up to her knees, Erin clutched her arm against her stomach as she made a last ditch decision on how to finish the match, hitting the ropes, coming back and hitting Vincent Stone’s Shining Wizard before getting the pinfall.
Winner: Erin Mercer
Result: Pinfall

[QUEEN CTHULHU V. LEEANN VISKAN]
The fans were buzzing for this one as the bell rang and the two women immediately began circling the ring. LeeAnn Viskan knew just as well as anyone else that something was up with this Queen Cthulhu woman. It didn’t stop her from fully engaging her and vice versa in a brutal back and forth contest. LeeAnn Viskan managed to tie Queen Cthulhu up with several different submission maneuvers, keeping her weakened and on the mat. Cthulhu showed some clear knowledge in getting out of some of the holds, however, as she contorted her body and often slipped her arm or leg free before coming back against LeeAnn with a brutal strike. Later into the match, Cthulhu shocked the crowd as she found herself locked in the Chemical Wedding clear across the ring but literally dragged herself across the mat, forcing LeeAnn to backstep with her, trying to keep the hold locked in. Cthulhu kept crawling and dragging herself until she was able to grab the bottom rope, forcing the break.
Queen Cthulhu climbed back up onto the apron as LeeAnn Viskan approached and the two started exchanging forearms until Cthulhu managed to stun her opponent with one of hers and hit a Sunset Flip Powerbomb over the top rope and into the ring on LeeAnn. LeeAnn rolled right up onto her knees just as Cthulhu thrust her foot forward into her face to keep her stunned and get up to her feet. Coming off of the ropes, Cthulhu hit the Call of Cthulhu on LeeAnn, covering her for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Queen Cthulhu
Result: Pinfall

[MIGUEL VILLALOBOS V. WYLD STALLION]
In another instance of David and Goliath meeting in the ring, Wyld Stallion and Miguel Villalobos tore the house down in a rather impressive trade off despite the size difference. Wyld Stallion chipped away at Miguel’s legs as much as he could before he went for a springboard crossbody and Miguel snatched him out of the air with a powerslam, turning things around in his favor. Miguel then proceeded to re-demonstrate why he was dangerous in the ring, not only showing power but agility as well.
The Wolf King proceeded to pick apart the Stallion with suplexes, lariats and other big power moves. Any time Wyld Stallion saw an opening to get some counter offense in, he managed to do so, often hitting aerial maneuvers off of the ropes to keep Miguel from getting too much of an advantage on him. It certainly wasn’t easy for him but in the end agility and quickness persevered over strength and power as Stallion countered the Ay Dios Mio into a scissorhead facebuster. Not so much a hurricanrana, as he came down sideways as he jerked Miguel face first into the mat. Wyld Stallion then landed a Phoenix Splash to score the surprising pinfall.
Winner: Wyld Stallion
Result: Pinfall

[BUZZSAW V. MATT KLAZZIC]
Buzzsaw and Matt Klazzic put on another wrestling clinic between Klazzic’s King’s Road and Buzzsaw’s brutal martial arts based arsenal. Buzzsaw kept Matt Klazzic at bay with stiff kicks to the legs and sides but Matt Klazzic would often catch a leg and reverse it into a beautiful King’s Road era maneuver to stop Buzzsaw’s momentum. A belly to belly suplex, a backdrop driver or a DDT that no question, planted Buzzsaw right on the head. Both men were worn down early into the match with how hard they went at each other.
Matt Klazzic went for a vertical suplex near the final moments of the match but Buzzsaw got out of it by driving his knee down into Klazzic’s head. Klazzic let Buzzsaw down, holding his head as he appeared knocked for a loop. When Buzzsaw went for a superkick, Matt Klazzic caught the foot and stepped in for a stiff forearm to the jaw, rocking Buzzsaw on his feet. Matt Klazzic scooped the man right up into his arms then and planted him with what was the second Northern Lights Driver of the match, right square on his head and kept him folded up as the referee counted the pinfall.
Winner: Matt Klazzic
Result: Pinfall

[HAVOK V. ERIC LEE]
Everyone says karma comes back to bite you. That’s certainly how this match opened up as Havok stood in the ring, waiting for Eric Lee to make his entrance. As SKYND’s “Richard Ramirez” played throughout the arena, Charlie Grace stepped out onto the stage with that soft, disinterested smile on her face as she watched Havok down in the ring. Standing out by Havok’s corner, Jim Reynolds threw his arms up, goading her client to appear. Charlie slowly turned her head towards the entrance curtain, as if signaling that Eric Lee was about to come through and onto the stage...but instead, the crowd began buzzing and eventually popped as the UltraViolent God came jumping over the fan barricade with a barbwire kendo stick. Sliding into the ring, the man cocked back and struck Havok across the back.
HANSON
“OH!! WAIT A MINUTE!!!!”
AUGUSTINO
“DID HE COME RIGHT PASSED US?!”
HANSON
“I DON’T KNOW, MIRANDA! BUT ERIC LEE JUST GOT THE JUMP ON HAVOK!!”
The music stopped and the lights came back on as Eric Lee continued wailing on Havok with his weapon until the referee was able to pull him back and force him into a corner. After kicking the kendo stick out of the ring, the ref walked over to check on Havok while Jim Reynolds came to do so from the outside. Blood trickled profusely down Havok’s back as he got to his feet, flexing his hands in and out as a way to deal with the pain. He looked down briefly at Jim Reynolds who pointed towards Eric Lee, screaming at his client.
“You gonna take that?! ARE YOU GONNA FUCKING TAKE THAT?! FUCK HIM UP!!! RING THE GODDAMN BELL REF!!”
Havok shoved passed the referee and took off charging at Eric Lee across the ring. The ref hastily rang the bell and the match was on. Eric Lee and Havok engaged one another in an absolute slugfest that saw their managers looking on. Charlie Grace remained calm and stoic as she watched her client, Eric Lee, methodically wear down Havok’s legs with precise martial arts shots, combined with just brutal snaps to the mat. Jim Reynolds eagerly paced back and forth like a fired up coach, slapping the mat anytime Havok was being controlled by Lee and yelling for him to fight back. He was also slapping the mat and goading Havok on anytime the big man was in control.
At one point in the match, Charlie Grace attempted to remove the turnbuckle cover for Eric Lee. She only got it halfway untied before Jim Reynolds came over and yanked her foot, causing her to drop down onto the floor on her feet where he got in her face. Charlie Grace remained calm, even smirking some as Jim Reynolds chided her for trying to interfere. This drew the referee over who was trying to get Havok and Eric Lee back in the ring. The ref started trying to back Reynolds away from Charlie who stood absolutely fearless against the man. As this was going on, the ref distracted, Eric Lee got a hold of a steel chair from under the ring and SMASHED it over Havok’s head! Havok was practically out on his feet as Eric Lee beat him mercilessly with it until the referee looked over and caught him. At the ref’s discretion, he opted to let the match continue but still ordered Eric to drop the chair and not use it again lest he be DQed. Eric Lee didn’t seem to care and pushed the ref out of the way. He started to lift the chair again and Havok stepped away from the security railing and PUNCHED the chair right back into Eric Lee’s face. Lee stumbled back, dropping the chair and Havok grabbed him by the head, slamming his face into the edge of the apron before shoving him back inside the ring. Still dazed from having the chair punched right into his face, then the apron shot, Eric Lee slowly started pulling himself up but Havok was right on top of him and set him up for the finish. Lifting him up into a powerbomb hold, Havok flipped Lee back into the Disasterpiece to score the pinfall.
Winner: Havok
Result: Pinfall

[CHRIS WOLFE V. VINCENT STONE]
This was a match between respected team mates of The Resistance as Vincent Stone and Chris Wolfe started things off with a handshake and a dap before locking up and going straight to wrestling town on one another. Vincent Stone let up on some of his harder striking and switched mostly to his technical side against Chris Wolfe, trying to straight up out wrestle the man. That wasn’t working quite as he hoped so he went back to what he knew best and started dishing out kicks. But Chris Wolfe had some kicks of his own to dish right back and the match soon became an absolute spectacle. Both men wrestled with heart and determination, pulling no hits and keeping the crowd on their feet.
Each competitor racked up numerous near falls against the other throughout the match but only one of them could get the victory. That victory came when Vincent Stone had Chris Wolfe rocked on his feet after a flurry or kicks, palm strikes and chops before kicking the man down to one knee and ran off the ropes to hit the Shining Wizard. Stone went for the cover and almost got a three count before Wolfe kicked out. Frustrated, Stone pulled Wolfe to his feet and signaled for the finish - the crowd yelling “FINISH HIM” - as he drew his thumb across his throat and set up for the Fatality. As he lifted Chris Wolfe up, however, Wolfe managed to reverse out of it and landed behind him on his feet. Striking him in the back of the neck with a forearm, Wolfe rocked Stone where he stood before picking him up and delivering the Direwolfe for the final count, scoring the three for the win.
Winner: Chris Wolfe
Result: Pinfall

[NICO SALVATORE V. WILLIAM MANNHEIM]
In the final match of the evening, William Mannheim continued to defy those who thought he should sit the rest of the tournament out due to his hand. Even though he was basically fighting one handed, Mannheim met with Nico Salvatore in the ring and the two gave the crowd every bit the war they hoped for. Nico clearly had the striking advantage as he could use both hands and frequently chipped away at Willy in the corner. It didn’t stop Willy from using his brute force and power to push his way out of the corner, throw Nico over into it and start dishing out his own array of brutal punches and boots to the body. Nico continued to fight back, showing a bit of an unorthodox side as he caught Mannheim by he forearm when he went for an elbow with his right arm and slammed his hand down onto the turnbuckle, causing the big man to reel back and give Nico come breathing room.
Nico found himself having to adapt to the size advantage against Mannheim. He’d never really fought someone the size of The Mangler before. It didn’t stop the self proclaimed God of Wrestling from putting everything he had into his offense against the NFW legend. After several near finishes, and narrowly escaping an attempt at Deliverance from William Mannheim, Nico ran to the ropes and springboarded off - something he rarely or never actually did in a match ever - just to get himself high enough as Mannheim turned around and caught the 6’10 man in the side of the head with the Key to Orkas. William Mannheim slumped down to one knee. Far too exhausted to even try to lift the big man up for the GFY, Nico set William Mannheim up with his head down between his legs. Nico hooked one up and pointed to the sky with a fire in his eyes, garnering a pop from the crowd as they realized what he was doing. Nico hooked the other arm and planted William Mannheim into the mat with Vlad Blackheart’s Come White before rolling him over and scoring the pinfall.
Winner: Nico Salvatore
Result: Pinfall
Time: 23:11
