The opening chords of Bishop Briggs “Champion” are heard.
“NEW FRONTIER WRESTLING PRESENTS”
“THE QUEEN OF THE FRONTIER TOURNAMENT!!”
"TWENTY WOMEN!!"
"EIGHTEEN MATCHES!!"
"TWO BLOCKS!!"
"ONE WINNER!!"
"INTRODUCING...B BLOCK!!"
The heavy voiced announcer from the block announcements is heard, now, as short clips of the B Block competitors are shown hitting their signature movesets.
“LIONHEART...ALEX BRODY!”
“ERIN MERCER!”
“THE NFW WOMEN’S TELEVISION CHAMPION...EAVAN MALONEY!”
“LEEANN VISKAN!”
“THE FANGED ROSE...JASMINE MATTHEWS!”
“MIA HAYASHI!”
“CHRISTINA OLSON!”
“MORGAN PAYNE!”
“ANGEL KUSANAGI!”
“SERENA FROST!”
The camera switches over to inside the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California again, capturing the amped up audience.
NFW! NFW! NFW! NFW! NFW! NFW! NFW! NFW! NFW!
HANSON
“Hello and welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the Queen of the Frontier and Vlad Blackheart Memorial Tournaments! We had a hell of an opening night didn’t we, Miranda?”
AUGUSTINO
“Damn straight we did, Nick! You ready to kick this bitch up again?”
HANSON
“Let’s not waste any time! We’re kicking off B Block’s matches tonight, folks and we’re starting with the Queen of the Frontier Tournament!”
AUGUSTINO
“Kick some ass, bitches! MUAH!!!”
================================================================
[ERIN MERCER V. ANGEL KUSANAGI]
Angel Kusanagi kept Erin Mercer’s hands full in the redhead’s first match back in a long while. Erin tried to move in and take control of Angel with her technical style but the Japanese woman immediately began countering with her stiff kicks and sharp strikes. Angel had Erin on the ropes within no time, it seemed, as she fought with a heightened sense of rage and aggression. After awhile, Erin did begin to mount a comeback, beginning to dish out her own strikes to Angel. As she began to slow Angel down, Erin started hitting her suplexes and takedowns, moving into her submission maneuvers. Angel managed to slip out of them by use of the ropes while a couple she was just able to get out of on sheer ability. Erin Mercer even tried to lock in the Angel Trap submission which Angel was able to cause a rope break on and quickly pull herself to her feet. As Erin rolled over and got to her feet, Angel pushed off of the ropes, ran in and hit a stiff PK right to the chest of Erin, knocking the wind out of her and almost getting the pinfall.
Erin Mercer proved that she wasn’t about to stay down as easily as many might have thought she would, given how long she had been away from the ring. Even when Angel decided to go for the Boseki Driver, Erin saved herself from what was probably a certain finish by bracing her hands on the mat and using the power in her legs to reverse it into a Scissorhead Takedown, quickly following up by running off of the ropes and hitting a hesitation dropkick to Angel right in the center of the ring, almost getting a near fall of her own. Angel stayed alive as well, however, and continued to wear down Erin with more of her striking technique until she went for the Steel Feather, picking Erin up with her foot. Erin caught her foot, however and countered with a kick to the midsection, setting Angel up and delivering the Red Death for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Erin Mercer
Result: Pinfall
Time: 10:04

The crowd was buzzing as to whether or not Alex Brody would actually show up. Serena Frost paced back and forth in the ring, watching and waiting to see for herself when all of a sudden the sound of a slow, low heartbeat thumped through the speakers and the lights went completely out.
HANSON
“Whoa! Wait a minute….”
AUGUSTINO
“Did you hear that, Nick? That sounded like….”
The heartbeat sounded again….
Suddenly, that first image of the eyes appeared up on the video wall as the heartbeat sounded once more...then again...then again….
AUGUSTINO
“Dios mio! What the hell is going on, Nick?!”
HANSON
“I don’t know, Mir--”
Nick Hanson was cut off by the deafening sound of the audience as words faded in on the image of the eyes….
The heartbeat continued, picking up pace to the point it sounded like a heart would if it’s owner were just absolutely terrified when all of a sudden the heartbeat stopped and the image on the video wall shut off, leaving the arena in darkness again.
AUGUSTINO
“Nick? What did that mean? ‘I’m not who you think I am’?”
HANSON
“Miranda, I’m about as lost as you are. We’re expecting Alex Brody to face Serena Frost in a tournament match and instead we’re--”
“Ia...Ia...Cthulhu Fhtagn….”
AUGUSTINO
“What the?”
“Ia...Ia...Cthulhu Fhtagn….”
A chorus of voices came through the speakers, like a mass of people slowly beginning to chant.
Ia...Ia...Cthulhu Fhtagn….
Ia...Ia...Cthulhu Fhtagn….
Ia...Ia...Cthulhu Fhtagn….
Ia, Ia, Cthulhu Fhtagn.
Ia, Ia, Cthulhu Fhtagn.
Ia! Ia! Cthulhu Fhtagn!
IA! IA! CTHULHU FHTAGN!
The video wall came to life again with the full image from the eyes as the explosive guitar intro to 3TEETH’s “American Wasteland.” The fans erupted into a pop from the video wall image who knew exactly what it was hinting at. The mood of the entrance however, was anything but “loveable underdog” as green smoke began to billow from the entryway while the song continued.
Loyal like a dog
Chained upon the fence
False sense of ownership
As we’re guarding its contents
Feed me just enough that I’ll never need a cage!
Use your sleight of hand as you redirect my rage!
Instinctual offense, trained from an early age!
Keep your fucking distance! Don’t you question what we say!
As the growled portion of the lyrics were heard, movement came from the smoke as a figure was seen moving inside the smoke. The crowd immediately recognized the individual and popped as a woman appeared on the stage. Her gear was black with traces of green. Shiny spandex pants, boots with kick pads and a matching sports bra top with ‘tendrils’ running from the shoulder straps over her shoulders. She crawled across the stage on her hands and feet; moving her body in a way that almost didn’t seem humanly possible. The woman crawled across the stage more like a creature than anything. Tendrils on her Cthulhu based mask loosely swaying as water dripped from her hair that looked like it had been soaked down. In fact, under the dim green lighting, her exposed skin on her arms, back and stomach glistened with moisture as if she had emerged from the sea herself just like the Old God whose face she wore. The woman crawled to the base of the stage and the ramp before sliding her feet into place and eerily rising to stand straight before slowly lifting her head. The camera zoomed in as smoke billowed around her feet and got up a close up on her mask. No. Not her mask. Her eyes. Eyes that were...damaged. Almost as if the innocence had been stripped from them and left them cold and empty. Absolutely heartless.
One great hole…
Decomposing…
Layer of souls…
Processed control…
American Landfill!
Here, in the song, she began moving down the ramp at a slow but determined pace.
ARDEN
(reading tentatively from a card)
“Her opponent...from the depths of R’lyeh...QUEEN...CTHULHU!!”
HANSON
“Queen...Cthulhu? Who…? Where is…?”
AUGUSTINO
“Hang on, Jim. I...I think...that….”
Miranda Augustino couldn’t even get the words out as this Queen Cthulhu woman eerily stalked down the ramp, reaching the ring before she slid in under the bottom rope, keeping her cold gaze on a confused Serena Frost. Serena looked confused, lost and...almost...a little unnerved. She stood back in the corner as her newly revealed opponent, as seemed evident, once again rose to her feet in that slow, acrobatic manner like her limbs too were made of tendrils. The lights came back on and the music stopped as fans began to chant and clap...they knew exactly who that was under the mask.
CROWD
“CTHULHU!”
Clap-Clap
“CTHULHU!”
Clap-Clap
“CTHULHU!”
Clap-Clap
“CTHULHU!”
Clap-Clap
Queen Cthulhu slowly looked around at the Sacramento audience with her empty gaze from under her mask. Her eyes were recognizable...but also not. Her expression completely obscured underneath the tentacle mask that covered her entire face. Finally, she turned towards Serena as the bell rang.
================================================================
[SERENA FROST V. QUEEN CTHULHU]
Serena Frost seemed to recognize the woman hiding behind the mask as well as she mustered up the nerve to approach her. As a response, Queen Cthulhu came out of her corner and met Serena right in the center of the ring, getting up in the woman’s face and just staring her in the eyes. Serena’s mouth began moving as she looked as though she were trying to get through to the masked woman for some reason or another. Finally she lifted her hand to rest on her shoulder...and Queen Cthulhu just exploded with offense, swatting Serena’s hand off of her and drilling her right in the jaw with a forearm. Serena stumbled back as Queen Cthulhu quickly gained dominance in the match with brutal knees and elbows. A disturbingly effective mix between wrestling strikes and straight up just street fighting. Serena fought back with her own mixture of strikes and takedowns but Queen Cthulhu just kept coming. Not so much unaffected by the maneuvers, but seemingly fighting and pushing through whatever pain they were causing. Fists clenched. Angry eyes glaring at Frost from under her mask.
Try as Serena did, she was completely unprepared for this new foe as Queen Cthulhu stunned her on her feet with a handspring pele kick, catching her right in the nose. The fans reacted emphatically as Serena hit the mat, immediately showing blood on her face. As she tried to blink away the instinctive tears from clearly having her nose busted, Queen Cthulhu ran off of the ropes and just delivered a flying knee right to the face, recognized as the very familiar Call Of Cthulhu, earning her the pinfall victory!
HANSON
“Good lord! What a match!”
AUGUSTINO
“Match?! That was a fucking ass whuppin’, Nick! But Nick I...that’s her….”
HANSON
“...Alex?”
AUGUSTINO
“Yes! Look!”
HANSON
“Well, I remember Kid Cthulhu but...that is not Kid Cthulhu! That woman is not the Alex Brody we know!”
As “American Landfill” played throughout the arena, Queen Cthulhu slid out of the ring and calmly...eerily made her way back up the ramp without so much as looking back as the referee tended to the clearly hurt Serena Frost. Queen Cthulhu stepped through the curtain again and disappeared….
Winner: Queen Cthulhu
Result: Pinfall

[JASMINE MATTHEWS V. MIA HAYASHI]
The match started off with Jasmine Matthews immediately spreading out her arms, gloating to her opponent while she gave a dark, seductive grin to the crowd that had a view of her back. The Queen of the Kingdom knew they were checking out her ass. As she turned back from her, Mia Hayashi SLAPPED Jasmine Matthews across the face and could be seen mouthing ‘you had that coming, bitch!’ Jasmine reacted furious, lunging for her but Mia dipped out of the way and took control of the beginning of the match with her quick offense. A mixture of fast strikes and speedy springboard attacks. The crowd was clearly behind the little Japanese-American RWBY cosplayer. Jasmine came back with her own own arsenal of brutal MMA offense, soon taking Mia to the ground and attempting submission after submission on her, even locking in The Constrictor until Mia managed to get a foot on the ropes.
Mia started building up another head of steam with Jasmine beginning to match her pound for pound and the two appeared to be at a standstill as far as who had the advantage. Finally, Mia went for the Supreme Thunder but as she slipped Jasmine’s leg off of her shoulder, Jasmine got the other free, landing on her feet behind the woman and YANKING her by the hair down onto the mat. As Mia slowly started getting up and made it to one foot and a knee, Jasmine came running in and nailed her with the Ice Cold before going for the cover. Tauntingly, Jasmine gyrated her hips as she ‘straddled’ Mia during the three count.
Winner: Jasmine Matthews
Result: Pinfall

[CHRISTINA OLSON V. LEEANN VISKAN]
As soon as the bell rang, LeeAnn Viskan wasted no time in initiating the collar & elbow tieup with Christina Olson. Christina tried to gain the opening advantage by administering an arm wrench but LeeAnn, submission practitioner that she was, immediately reversed it and took Christina to the floor and locked in a Kimura Lock. Still fresh with energy, Christina managed to get out of it only to have LeeAnn switch right into an armbar. This was the gist of the opening match with Christina of Bloody Fairytale scrambling to escape LeeAnn’s holds only for LeeAnn to smoothly transition right into another one. Not just the arms, but the legs as well, twisting Christina up like a pretzel from all different angles. Finally, Christina was able to make a comeback when she managed to reach up during an Indian Deathlock and rake her nails right in LeeAnn’s eyes. From here, Christina began unleashing her strikes and high flying tactics, keeping LeeAnn on her toes as best as she could. Despite an obvious pain in her legs, Christina came off of the ropes with handspring strikes and springboard crossbodies, armdrags and hurricanranas.
It started to look like Christina Olson was going to cause a serious upset against the legend of the NFW women’s division as several near falls back and forth showed Christina starting to kick out quicker than LeeAnn was. Clearly not quite as energetic as she used to be, LeeAnn Viskan began reacting just a tad slower, showing her age, but continued to show her heart and drive as she started matching Christina for strikes. Christina stayed the quicker and more limber one as she kept up with the older woman, keeping LeeAnn on her toes until she had her obviously worn down in the ring and went for her signature springboard forearm smash. Just when it looked like LeeAnn was about to eat the forearm, she rolled forward, under Christina and right into her legs, causing the falling woman to change direction and smack her face on the mat. This left her open for LeeAnn to grab her by the legs and lock in the Chemical Wedding which Christina quickly tapped to after having Viskan work her limbs during most of her offensive stretches.
Winner: LeeAnn Viskan
Result: Submission

[EAVAN MALONEY V. MORGAN PAYNE]
Eavan Maloney and Morgan Payne certainly got off to a heated start with Morgan obviously still a little miffed from Eavan’s press conference comments. Eavan, despite being the smaller one, bowed right up to Morgan, pushing against her. Morgan pushed her back and Eavan returned it with a hard shove. Morgan answered back with a stiff right hand and the match was on with shots being traded back and forth before Eavan gained the upper hand with her speed, strikes and greater experience. A dropkick sent Morgan over the top rope and tumbling to the floor. As she got to her feet, Eavan came running across the ring and soaring right through the ropes. The Women’s TV Champion slammed into her opponent, knocking Morgan into the guard rail. The two continued to brawl outside the ring with Morgan turning the tables when she caught Eavan’s right leg during a superkick attempt and whipped it sideways, driving her knee right into the ringpost. Eavan had about a second to reel from the pain before Morgan caught her around the waist and hit an overhead belly to belly, throwing Eavan right across the top of the announce table, drawing an angry reaction from Miranda Augustino on commentary.
AUGUSTINO
“Watch where you throw my woman, pendeja!”
An angry Morgan Payne threw the middle finger right to Miranda Augustino before throwing Eavan Maloney back into the ring and following her in to continue her assault. It began to look like Payne had the match completely under her control now as she began to take it to Eavan with stiff clotheslines, dropkicks and brutal suplexes and powerslams. Morgan had the strength advantage on her side so that Eavan looked almost like a child being manhandled around the ring. She hit the Yoi Yoi Double Yoi on the Demon Warrior and got a near pinfall but Eavan kicked out and started fighting back again until she got her own near pinfall after landing a Chick Kick. Morgan kicked out and the two women continued back and forth for several more minutes until Morgan went for the Art of Ruin, only to have Eavan push her away and slip her head free. Morgan spun around just as Eavan was running up and the pink haired woman hit the Pittsburgh native with the L.A Makeover to score the pinfall!
Winner: Eavan Maloney
Result: Pinfall

The opening chords for Saliva’s “Ladies and Gentlemen” sound throughout the arena as the video wall comes to life with the Vlad Blackheart Memorial logo again.
“AND NOW...IT IS TIME FOR THE VLAD BLACKHEART MEMORIAL!! COMPETING TONIGHT...B BLOCK!!”
“WILLIAM...THE MANGLER...MANNHEIM!”
“BIG BAD...CHRIS WOLFE!”
“VINCENT STONE!”
“THE GOD OF WRESTLING...NICO SALVATORE!”
“NFW TELEVISION CHAMPION...WYLD STALLION!”
“MATT KLAZZIC!”
“THE ULTRA-VIOLENT GOD...ERIC LEE!”
“BUZZSAW!”
“THE WOLF KING...MIGUEL VILLALOBOS!”
“HAVOK!”
================================================================
[MATT KLAZZIC V. WYLD STALLION]
The opening match of B Block for the Vlad Blackheart Memorial was definitely a hard hitting slug fest, moving at a fast pace. Matt Klazzic, with the power advantage, attempted to control Wyld Stallion on the mat and keep him grounded with takedowns and drop toeholds while Wyld Stallion fought back with stiff strikes and high flying lucha libre. Matt Klazzic still bore some wounds from his last match in the hellacious Tartarus Prison but, at this point, it seemed to be affecting him very little, if at all. In a surprisingly shorter match than was expected, Matt Klazzic was clearly putting some new techniques and maneuvers to the test that saw him using his strength but quick reflexes to counteract Wyld Stallion’s aerial assault that took most if not all of his opponents by surprise.
Wyld Stallion kept up the offense as much as he could against one half of Turn-It-Up Express, looking like he was going to end the match with a Phoenix Splash when Matt Klazzic suddenly brought his knees up, causing Stallion to crash right down onto them. As Stallion held his ribs, reeling in pain, Matt Klazzic got to his feet and ran in for a brutally stiff Penalty Kick before pulling the TV Champion to his feet and delivering a Northern Lights Driver to score the pinfall and close out the first match of men’s B Block.
Winner: Matt Klazzic
Result: Pinfall
Time: 8:14

[CHRIS WOLFE V. MIGUEL VILLALOBOS]
Chris Wolfe and Miguel Villalobos put on an absolute wrestling clinic against each other, in front of the Sacramento audience. The match that fans had taken to calling everything from the Battle of the Wolves to a Dogfight, kept fans on their feet for the majority of the match as Wolfe’s technical wrestling went head to head with Villalobos’ agile power. Villalobos dominated the match early on, countering a hurricanrana attempt from Wolfe by popping him over his head and right into a Crucifix hold and drove him down with Dias de los Muertos for a near fall. Chris Wolfe kicked out and began to mount a comeback, working on Miguel’s legs with brutal kicks to wear him down and make it more difficult for him to lift him up for his big power moves.
As Chris Wolfe fought tooth and nail to try and gain a head of steam, he delivered a devastating superkick to The Wolf King. Miguel reeled back but gritted his teeth through the strike and came back with a big discus elbow, spinning Chris around with his back to him. Miguel lifted the man up onto his shoulders, about to go for La Mordida del Lobo but Chris Wolfe slipped off of his shoulders, landing behind Miguel Villalobos and lifted him across his shoulders, catching him with the Direwolfe for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Chris Wolfe
Result: Pinfall

[WILLIAM MANNHEIM V. HAVOK]
To call William Mannheim and Havok’s match...well...a match at all, could have been considered being generous. As “The Mountain” by Three Days Grace was playing, The Mangler was making his way down to the ring, looking completely psyched up and in the zone when, from down the ramp, Havok came running in behind him with his chain wrapped around his forearm and clubbed Mannheim in the back with it.
HANSON
“HEY WAIT A MINUTE!!!! WE’RE SUPPOSED TO SEE MANNHEIM AND HAVOK IN THIS MATCH BUT WHAT THE HELL?!”
WIlliam Mannheim stumbled forward, catching himself on the security barrier as Havok yanked him around and began feeding him shots to the face with his chain wrapped arm. The fans began booing angrily as Havok had Mannheim caught completely off guard. As Havok fed him shot after shot, Jim Reynolds appeared on the stage, coming down the ramp and grabbed a steel chair from behind the railing, having to tug it from a fan’s grip before he threatened to hit him with it. While Havok continued his attack on William Mannheim, Jim Reynolds approached and whistled to the masked lunatic, getting his attention and held out the chair to him. Havok unraveled the chain from his arm and took the chair, before turning and striking a now bloodied William Mannheim across the back with the chair. Mannheim stumbled forward and rested against the ringpost with one hand bracing on it. To the shock of the crowd, Havok stepped forward with a guttural roar under his mask and SMASHED the chair against Mannheim’s hand and forearm. Rarely did the NFW fans ever hear The Mangler cry out in pain. He did here, as he jerked his arm away and held it against himself, with agony written all over his reddened face.
AUGUSTINO
“OH MY GOD!! WHAT THE FUCK?!?! HE COULDA BROKEN HIS HAND!”
Havok cocked back the chair for one more shot across William Mannheim’s head before throwing the chair to the floor and threw his opponent into the ring, sliding in behind him like a predator stalking his prey. Outside the ring, Jim Reynolds yelled to the timekeeper to ring the bell and start the match as the referee tried to check on William Mannheim and keep Havok away. Rather than call for the bell, the referee assessed William Mannheim’s arm and shook his head. Senior Official James Greer got up in Havok’s face, ordering him back before he called Roger Arden over to the outside of the ring and relayed a quick message.
ARDEN
“Ladies and gentlemen, Senior Official James Greer has just informed me that due to the condition of William Mannheim’s arm that he has deemed him unable to compete in this match. Therefore! The winner of this match, by referee’s default decision...HAVOK!!!!”
AUGUSTINO
“OH, BULLSHIT! BULL-FUCKING-SHIT!!”
HANSON
“Are you kidding me?!”
“Redefined” by As I Lay Dying sounded for Havok as he calmly raised his fists into the air while Jim Reynolds gloated to the camera, gesturing to Havok as he yelled for the rest of B Block to take a good look.

[ERIC LEE V. NICO SALVATORE]
Eric Lee and Nico Salvatore met face to face in a brutal strike off match where Wrestling’s Richard Ramirez’s Muay Thai offense collided with the self proclaimed God of Wrestling’s Strong Style. Both men lashed out at each other with brutal blows that were heard throughout the arena, causing the audience to cringe and grimace emphatically. Lee’s years of experience in the ring began to show as he began wearing Salvatore down with painful blows from his knees and elbows. More than once the referee had to force Lee away from Nico as the UltraViolent God backed his younger opponent into the corner and continued to try and soften him up for a quick finish. Each time he went for a pinfall, however, Nico found it in himself to kick out.
Nico brought his own hard hits as he initiated a trade off of forearm strikes with the hardcore legend. Nico Salvatore began wearing down Eric Lee with more stiff strikes and brutal DDTs and suplexes but still Eric Lee, also kicked out relentlessly. When Nico finally did find an opening, he landed a Key To Orkas to Eric Lee, connecting his knee directly to the man’s head. Rather than dare to go for a pinfall just yet, however, Nico shook his head like he knew better and ran off of the ropes again, connecting a second Key To Orkas, knocking Lee to the mat. Nico hastily pulled him up to his feet, then, and lifted him across his shoulders, delivering an extra forceful G.F.Y to the man before going for the cover and getting the winning pin.
Winner: Nico Salvatore
Result: Pinfall
Time: 19:41

[BUZZSAW V. VINCENT STONE]
In the final match of the night, it was essentially mentor and protege as Buzzsaw and Vincent Stone circled the mat and engaged in a collar & elbow tieup. While both men were the same age, give or take, Buzzsaw was clearly the more experienced of the two as he was quick to turn the tieup into a series of MMA takedowns and wrestling holds. Vincent Stone, never one to go down and stay down, proved that he had learned more since the last time they stepped into the ring against each other. He was able to slip free or reverse a good amount of the holds Buzzsaw tried to put him in. For the first few minutes, Vincent Stone used his speed and agility, hitting his high flying moves against the former Dominion of Pain member, now part of the new House of Payne. Stone came off of the ropes with springboard armdrags, dropkicks and hurricanranas, attempting several times to catch Buzzsaw in a rollup or a quick cover but the former and longest reigning NFW Television Champion was never one to be caught up in something like that if he could help it.
Things began to slow down when Vincent Stone flipped through an attempt at a backdrop driver by Buzzsaw, landed on his feet and delivered a stiff martial arts kick to the man’s hip. Buzzsaw froze and straightened his posture, appearing to even grin a little under his mask and face paint as he turned around and seemed to be asking Stone if he wanted to play that game. Stone evidently did and Buzzsaw obliged him, initiating a trade off of kicks to each other’s hips and ribs. A battle that Vincent Stone clearly wasn’t going to win as Buzzsaw eventually just unleashed a ruthless barrage of kick after kick after kick. When Buzzsaw ran off of the ropes, however, Stone fired back with a surprising superkick and set Buzzsaw up for the Fatality. As he lifted him up, however, Buzzsaw slipped through and landed behind him, delivering that backdrop driver he sought a few moments prior. From there, Buzzsaw quickly slipped over Stone and locked in the Do Not Resuscitate(DNR) until Vincent Stone tapped out.
Winner: Buzzsaw
Result: Submission
