NFW Collision #220!

A fog filled the room as Tanja Devereaux stepped through the fog, bright green eyes flickering in the process. The spirit inhabiting the Cajun made her presence known after the events of the recent Collision where the Silver Mountain champion showed on the screen after the match.

Tanja Devereaux: Ms. White, you have obtained our attention when your appearance was revealed after our match. If you are impressed by our abilities during the match you observed, perhaps you are looking for a strong challenge for that title that you are currently holding in your possession. If so, you are looking at the right person for the challenge.

The bright green eyes flicker as she flashes with an interested look in her eyes at the thought of possibly going after the Silver Mountain championship, the secondary title offered on Collision.

Tanja Devereaux: We have heard a great deal about you through reputation and we are looking for a challenge on Collision. We will look forward to stepping into the ring with you when the time comes or even making an appearance when you should have your own matches.

The Cajun signed as she knew that there were many who would think that she would remain in one division for the duration of her tenure in NFW. She shook her head for a moment as she heard the whispers of the Loa from the spiritual realm.

Tanja Devereaux: We may be known by many for being a regular competitor in the Event Horizon division and yes, we enjoy the violence of the division but we are not always pigeonholed into one division. We have had some experience in other intergender divisions that do not require tables, chairs or other tools of that nature. Going after the Silver Mountain champion will make our point clear to everyone on Collision and the Death Bringer is not to be trifled with.

Tanja slowly returned to the fog as the eyes flickered in color while the high emotions flowed through the Cajun.
The camera opens on Trixie Decker, pacing backstage. She is obviously annoyed when she looks up at the camera.

Trixie Decker: Hey, booker people. I get it. I completely get it. I say I hate someone, you’ll use that to decide my matches.

She throws up her hands, flustered.

Trixie Decker: ”Oh, she says she hates Kate Steele? Let’s book her against Kate’s sister. That’s a hoot. And right after we made her face Little Princes Makes-Excuses, too! Tee-hee!”

Trixie squints as she glares into the camera.

Trixie Decker: If I say I hate people who have talent and belts, can I face them, too? “Priscilla White sure is a meanie face. Jessi Osborne smells like discount cheese.” There. That good enough?

Trixie waits, almost as if she expects an answer to come. Finally, she gives up.

Trixie Decker: Well, at least I’m getting to face interesting, talented people in the tournament, if not here. Oh, I also got to face Crystal Hilton.

Trixie rolls her eyes, and mutters under her breath.

Trixie Decker: The bitch. But she did earn her win.

Trixie laces her fingers together and holds her hands to her chest, almost pleading.

Trixie Decker: But please… PLEASE… after I kick Steele’s teeth down her throat, can I try for a belt? I’ve held two here. I think I deserve a shot at one.

Trixie looks at the curtain, then back at the camera.

Trixie Decker: Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve gotta go teach someone manners.

Trixie offers a fast curtsy before vanishing through the curtains to the ramp.
Cameras enter a locker room where the NFW Perseverance champion, Konrad Raab, sits with an LED green light on and the title on his shoulder. You can see a smile on his face, getting some attention from wrestlers who he saw tweets from via fans at autograph signings at Watkins Glen ARCA Menards race. Also, that there's a match involving his title only brings even more of a smile on his face. He pats his title multiple times.

Konrad Raab: "I'm so glad wrestlers noticed my comments last week. I want wrestlers to approach and face me for this Perseverance title because I worked hard to get it. I think there was a bit of confusion, and I didn't explain why I said what I said. When I said I didn't want to be a champion who sits on a title reign, I was nearly in that position as a champion in a company from many years ago. Because barely anyone stepped up and the wrestling staff of that company weren't giving me title challengers, I had to seek out title challengers myself to defend the belt every month."

He nods to be the truth as he takes being a champion seriously.

Konrad Raab: "My title reign was the most memorable because I did just that and still have that title today because the company closed down when I held the title I successfully defended. I hate being a champion and doing nothing with my title reign, and my title reign ended up being the most memorable one in the company because I put hard work into the title; it's the same here, and it's the mentality in myself I've always had as a champion. It's who I am."

Konrad scratched his head, knowing he couldn't change that part of himself as a champion and wanted to be a champion everyone respects, not how Cait treated the belt with her wanting to face only one-on-one matches.

Konrad Raab: "So to think that even Jessie listened to me to make the battle royal match for my title tonight was a blessing in disguise. I'm looking forward to the match and seeing who the last two opponents are, and I welcome the challenge. I know Jason Shade has called me out since last week to face him, and I would accept your challenge one hundred per cent. I'm looking forward to fighting names I've never fought before and hearing what some of you say. I know some of you have made comments already, but I was listening to those and took notes."

He took one last breath as he focused on looking at the camera, being deadly serious about everything he said.

Konrad Raab: "I will continue to listen to and watch all of you tonight at the battle royal match. I look forward to welcoming the first two challengers for my title because I want to defend it and be proud of doing so, along with taking them seriously as my title challengers. I might even sit at ringside to get a closer look because I want to shake hands with my two title challengers and look them in the eye. Good luck out there."

Konrad nods as the cameraman zoomed in on Konrad's Perseverance title on his shoulder as the cameras went elsewhere in the arena.
Alastair had been on hand in Chicago for several days and he had been making some plans back in D.C. with Thunder in regards to his charter with the Wolves Of Odinn. He knew that there was a lot to do in that regard along with Banshee’s pregnancy but a contracted wrestler is something he needed to remember as well.

Alastair Frost: The Wolves of Odinn have gone through some rough times and changes as of late but it doesn’t mean that we still can’t show that we are a unit that holds the values given to us by our founder. Despite my anti-social nature and hatred of authority, I hold those values that were set out by Robi and I will make sure that they are held in high regard. If anyone outside of the Wolves have a problem with that, they will become an enemy to me.

Alastair heard his cell phone go off and when he saw that it was Thunder, he answered the call and informed her that he would call her after Collision. She didn’t sound happy but she knew that he spent a lot of time in Chicago as he would be in D.C. with the Unit or with Wolf business.

Alastair Frost: It shall be an interesting sight to see how this mix of people want to get a chance to go after the relatively new Perseverance champion in Konrad Rabb. Each person has their own values and plans to get to the final 2 but several have not dealt with a militaristic mind as mine. I am still relatively new as a wrestler by having 5 years experience but I have learned to adapt, just as I would as a Commissioned officer.

He quickly changed into his ring gear but remained still before heading out to the Gorilla area.

Alastair Frost: Rabb, should I be one of the 2 that win this battle royal; you are in for a surprise of a lifetime. Your longevity and methodical nature will not allow you to survive against the coldness and structure that I will bring to you and the other winner of the battle royal. I have had experience holding titles in NFW and I know how to hold them with dignity, I doubt you would say the same. I have preserved to show that someone as gruff as me may have lost previous titles but have remained firm in remaining a wrestler.

Alastair headed out of sight to do the last preparations for the battle royal.
