This series contains elements of a supernatural nature and will play a parody of the Judao-Christian faith. It is not meant to be mocking or subversive but simply done for a creative outlet.
You. Were. Warned.
There are also supernatural elements to this story now. Be warned of that in advance. The supernatural elements of this storyline were only hinted at before but asked by those who wanted this series for it to be added.
“The Pact” is a concept that kept Jesse’s original “Walk the Line” idea alive while honoring that none of them had these “abilities” five years ago to keep the original writer's concept alive.
A second disclaimer is needed for these episodes. The character being introduced here is a very bad man. He has bad ideas. He has bad outlooks and he has bad thoughts. His beliefs, thoughts and actions do not reflect the thoughts, actions and opinions of the writer or those of those involved.
I will do my best to be respectful while writing this character but you are SUPPOSED to hate him and want to see him hurt.
Thank you and….
I hope you enjoy it.
I give you Chapter 27!

Chapter 27
Darker paths
Location: Unknown
Time: 1:01 AM
The lone figure in the room sat with his back to the window at a large beautiful mahogany desk with a hand drumming his fingers off the wood as he waited. Even in the dimly lit room the straight black hair was clear and the snake bite piercings gleamed. It had not been a good week to be Lucifer.
The number one rule of their organization had always been secrecy. First and foremost, do not be seen and while they had secured the cameras of the area, his right hand had not considered the bystanders and not only had her assault on The Vessel and the Kenyon bitch been captured on video but so had his Hounds.
Luckily, the idiots of the world passed it off as simply another stunt. “Supernatural crap” as they would call it and that suited him fine. The less of them knew…or believed, the less resistance he had.
It wasn't like Sariel to be so lax in security. Nothing like this had ever happened before and suddenly it was becoming more and more frequent and that concerned him.
And then there was the problem of the Titans. This wasn’t like the last time. This isn’t some pretty little company he wanted to destroy. This was much bigger. Much, much bigger. They had to be removed from the board immediately.
The first assault had failed because he allowed his foes to gain allies. He would cut that off here and now.
It was at that moment as his mind wandered on the Titan problem that a knock sounded off the door and it was pushed open. The painted face of Asmdoeus appeared and inclined her head.
“My Lord.”
“Did you find him?”
“Yes Sire.” Asmodeus answered. “It wasn’t hard. It isn’t exactly a big town.”
“And what did you tell him?”
“That, it was my understanding that he misplaced a golden mained breeding horse. And that it had been located in New York.” Asmodeus recited back to her God. “Gave the general location and left it at that.”
“Good.” Lucifer said happily and leaned back in his chair. “We allow that to ruminate for a couple of weeks and then express our interest for Atlas to…send them on their way.”
“And if they don’t?”
“....We get a little more personal.”
“More personal than her ex husband sire?”
“Much.” Lucifer whispered with a slight sinister smile touching the corners of his lips.

For the first time in forever the group wasn’t woken up by one emergency or another. Either it was an attack or a meeting or someone calling for help. But one by one they all rose of their own accord.
Dean was up first, as was usual for the group and the others all greeted him as they arrived. The Titan's dining area wasn’t as big as his sisters at the compound they called The Castle but it was still big enough to accommodate the large group of them.
Dean, Hana, Peyton and Ashley were all up when their newest ally came out of the room the Titans had prepared for her. The swelling on her face had lessened a great deal. They had only seem her in a pair of loose jogging pants and bloody covered tank top and when she walked out in a pair of baggy cargo pants and a shirt with her hair down she looked like a whole different person.
“Katie.” Dean greeted.
She flashed him a little smile and sat down beside Hana as The Titans began to join them one by one. First Riley and Hyperion, followed by Cronos and Atlas and then finally Amanda. Cronos kissed the side of Riley’s head and Amanda leaned down planting a more of a passionate one on Atlas with the big man slipping a hand into her hair.
“You two didn’t get enough?” Dean asked the pair with a little teasing grin. “May wanna take after my sister and install some thicker walls.”
“Excuse you “Rude Boy”?” Katie asked with one of her perfectly sculpted eyebrows arching teasingly.
The song that Peyton always puts on when she and Dean are intimate. A not so hidden secret. Rhianna’s “Rude Boy.” Dean actually turned bright red and choked on the mouthful of coffee he had been drinking.
Ashley let out a faint chuckle, the first she had since the events of the truck stop and motioned toward Katie with her head.
“I like this one.”
Amanda seemed to enjoy the joke, though she showed absolutely no blush at the mention of the noises in the night. Hell, neither did Riley from the chair across the table where Amanda stood beside Atlas. Amanda however leaned down and told him softly.
“We got that thing. Jiriana is waiting on us.”
Michael had finally joined the group, announced by the thudding of the cane he used to walk.
“Anything we need to be worried about?” He asked.
Atlas shook his head as he pushed himself up and wiped his mouth with one of the big napkins lying on the table.
“Just block shit.” Atlas answered and laid his big muscled arm over Amanda’s shoulder. “We been doin this awhile Ya Heard?”
“Fair enough.” Michael answered, toasting with a coffee cup Hana handed him.
“We gotta figure out what we’re gonna do about the Sarcophagus.” Dean told Michael as Amanda and Trey made their way toward the door. “That shell game we played with the truck isn’t gonna fool Sara for long.”
Amanda and Trey headed outside and down the stairs where the kids sitting on the stairs all shifted to the side as a sign of respect to the Titan and his girl.
“You remember what I said, Perry.” Amanda told one of the shorter, rounder kids sitting among them. “I watch you on that corner again and I’ma beat yo lil ass myself.”
“Yes Ma’am.” The youngen answered meekly.
Atlas smirked down at the kids as they passed and cast a glance over at Amanda who shrugged and flipped the wealth of blonde hair over her shoulder.
“You want me to be the block Queen?” She said, holding her head up proud. “I’m gonna be it.”
“God I love you.”
“You better.”
Together the two of them turned right and headed up the block. Each building they passed people were either hanging out on the stairs, or leaning on their windows talking to people and all of them gave a nod of respect to the pair
The Titan and his little country girl.
Five houses down they stopped and Atlas kissed the side of Amanda’s head before heading up leaving her waiting outside on the block.
It wasn’t three minutes before the shadow of a figure walking up behind her appeared.
“Hello Lil Bit.”
Amanda suddenly froze and the color drained from her face. Slowly, as if she had heard a ghost she turned. Behind her stood a man nearly as tall as Atlas was, standing 6’2 with a neatly trimmed but coarse black beard and mustache. He wore a black cowboy hat and dark sunglasses and was wearing thick, faded black jeans, a black shirt opened at the chest and a black jacket.
“C..CLayton….”
The man reached up and took off the sunglasses and raised the other hand to brush fingertips across her cheek.
“Been looking for you.”
As he touched her she could see the flashes of images like a physical blow. Flashes of lightning, the smell of whiskey and the smack. The touch didn’t last more than a fraction of a second but the blonde woman’s eyes seemed to roll back as she passed out and fell limp.
The man she had called Clayton caught her before she could drop and adjusted a few times with a little grunt.
“Someone’s not been doing what she was told.” He grunted as he scooped up her legs with one arm. “Gonna have to get you back on your diet to get you back to weight.”
The boys that Amanda had greeted were standing on the steps of their building and watching as this strange man scooped up Amanda. They began to talk loudly to one another, with the smallest of the group, the one she called Perry rushing inside.
“Come on Lil Bit.” The man said down to her. “Let’s get you home.”
He carried her a half a block before a large shirtless dark skinned man came charging out of the house ahead of him and jumped off the stairs to the ground. The blonde glasses clad Riley was right behind him and surprisingly she did the same.
Hyperion, Crius, The Sins in his mask, Katie and Ashley followed suit.
The group stopped in front of the man and Cronos never broke stride and he came to a stop right in front of the man.
“The fuck you think you doin with her?” Cronos demanded.
“My wife just passed out is all. I’m helping her home.” The man assured the large muscular dark skinned man in front of him. “My name is Clayton Nix…”
Riley was content to let Cronos handle this and simply listen until she heard that name. Her head snapped around so hard the long blonde hair slapped Hyperion in the face. She looked from him to Amanda and then to Cronos.
“Get her away from him” Riley commanded. “Right the hell now!”
This reaction and the way she said it took Cronos aback. He looked down at his girlfriend with a shocked expression. She had never spoken so forcefully and the protective, angry look in her eyes as she stared at the man He had never seen it before. Riley was genuinely scared for Amanda.
“Kindly move out of my fucking way.” Clayton snapped.
The tone in which he said it was a mistake. Crius stepped up to Cronos’s left and Hyperion to his right. Looming behind them with his back slightly hunched towered The Sins as he let out that low rumbling snarl. Ashley and Katie didn’t know what was happening but when they heard the growl? They both fell in on each side of it.
“And if we don’t?” Cronos demanded canting his head as if praying the big man would try something.
Clayton looked between the group like he was genuinely considering it but before he could push his luck too much Amanda’s head shifted back and forth and she groaned. She looked up expecting to see Trey but instead found the bearded face looking down at her.
“No…” She whispered and began to struggle. “No! No! NOOO!”
This was a little too close to home for Ashley whose eyes narrowed and her hand dropped to her hip…and Clayton should be lucky that she had left her weapons inside. Instead she shoved Hyperion aside and stepped up without an ounce of fear.
“She said no.” Ashley whispered in deadly calm. “Put her down….now.”
Clayton’s jaw clenched, clearly unhappy to have a woman speaking to him this way but the distraction was enough for Amanda to wiggle free. She hit the pavement and staggered back into Cronos’s chest. Hitting it she flinched and spun around.
When she saw Riley she immediately moved to stand behind her.
Around this time an officer happened to be rolling by and seeing the large group of people they slowed and pulled to the side of the road to observe. The door of the building two buildings back opened and a voice said with a loud laugh.
“You know it!” The voice shouted with a laugh. “I’ll tell her! Yes Ma’am, we won’t forget the Pall malls!”
Atlas came down the stairs without a care in the world only for his eyebrow to go up the instant he noticed that Amanda wasn’t waiting there. He looked one way and then the other and thats when he saw everyone gathered and he could make out…1….2….3 blondes.
Riley, Amanda and the new girl.
As he got a little closer he saw how Amanda seemed to be clinging to Riley in terror and he quickly increased his strides. When he reached Clayton he shoved him aside without ever turning him around and took Amanda’s face in his hands.
“You good?” He asked with genuine concern in his voice.
All it took was Trey’s presence. Amanda immediately calmed down and slowly nodded. Before she could speak however a set of hands grabbed the shoulder of Trey’s sleeveless shirt and yanked him around
“Mind if I ask why you’re touching my wife?”
“Trey!” Amanda shouted in warning.
Atlas’s shoulder tensed. All those conversations. Half told stories. Riley heard the genuine panic in Amanda’s voice and her eyes shot to Cronos.
“CRON!” She shouted in equal warning.
Riley knew at that moment what Amanda knew. And none of them were fast enough to stop it. Atlas reared back and slugged Clayton in the mouth. And then again and again. Clayton ate the first two and when he tried to swing back Atlas caught his arm and threw his head forward into a headbutt.
“MOTHER FUCKER!” Atlas snarled. “DON’T TOUCH HER!”
“HEY!” A female voice shouted.
“BREAK IT UP!” A male one added.
The next thing any of them knew Atlas was on the ground with two cops on him and the sound of cuffs could be heard as Atlas struggled.
“DO NOT LET HIM TOUCH HER!” Atlas shouted.
Katie placed a hand on Ashley’s shoulder as she moved to intervene and motioned her head to The Sins that was staring at Clayton and panting.
“Fuck….” Ashley snapped and the two women quickly bull dogged him back to the stairs before the cops could see the aggressive stance and pull their guns.
“Trey!” Amanda shouted as her Titan continued to struggle and the male cop planted his knee between his shoulder blades. “I’m okay baby! Calm down! I’m okay! Don’t hurt him!”
“Hurt him?!” The female cop gasped as they struggled to keep the huge Titan under control. “Listen to your girl for fuck sakes Johnson! Calm down!”
Hearing Amanda’s voice was enough to calm Trey down and the two officers pulled him up by the arms. Clayton was staring at him, blood running down his lip. He reached down and picked up the hat that had fallen off in the scuffle from the ground.
“We aren’t done….”
Clayton’s mouth opened to say the word. That magical word that would have every Titan there jump on him, but he bit it back. Tho, the disgust was clear on his face.
“No….” Cronos whispered, eyes narrowed on Clayton. “...We ain't hillbilly.”
The two cops led Trey to the car and stuffed him inside. The male got into the car to begin the paperwork and the female came back and gave her card to Riley.
“He’ll be at the 40th.” She told Riley. “I’ll try and keep his bond low….”
Riley smiled and nodded.
“Thanks Claudette.”
Together they all headed inside as Clayton walked backwards up the sideway. He watched them long enough to see which building they went into then spit a mouthful of blood on the ground and spin around heading off.
Once they were all inside the building again Riley pulled Amanda off to the side and started to whisper to her. The Sins was in the corner with Ashley trying to convince him to take the mask off
“Come on.” The new girl whispered and flashed a warm gentle smile. “Come on back to us big guy….”
Ashley finally managed to get the mask off and Dean looked around panting. He locked eyes with Katie and offered a grateful nod. Peyton of course saw this and immediately got between Katie and Dean fussing over him “losing control again.”
Katie and Ashley both rolled their eyes to one another but let his wife do her thing. Cronos however stepped into the room and slammed the door closed.
“What in the fuck was that about?” Cronos demanded. “You married woman?!”
“She was.” Riley answered for Amanda who was still trying to breathe. She looked over at the group, specifically at Michael. “Can one of you go and post bail”
Michael slowly raised a brow and leaned forward in his chair.
“We aren’t exactly healed here Ma’am.” He told her. “I doubt I could get the cash if I tried.”
“No need.” Hyperion said with a laugh. “They have the bank info on file. This isn’t an infrequent occurrence.”
When Michael looked back at him Hyperion shrugged as if to say, and? Michael just shrugged with a chuckle and motioned toward one of the female reformed demons to head out and take care of it.
Cronos was however still looking for an answer and Amanda took a deep breath and then faced him.
“We were friends in middle school before I moved out here for high school. After I went back…we hooked up and got married. His name is Clayton….He’s a rancher that worked for his dad…everything was good until his dad died. He started to drink…call me his “prize brood mare” and shit. And when he drinks too much he gets….”
Amanda let it hang in the air there and Cronos’s jaw clenched and began to jump.
“You came back here for protection didn’t you?” Cronos asked.
Amanda just sniffled and gave a single nod. Cronos crossed the room in two steps and Amanda flinched as if she thought the Titan would hit her but instead he wrapped two big arms around her.
“We got you girl.” He told her in that deep rumbling voice. “We got you.”
Amanda reached one arm around and cupped the back of Riley’s head while the other grasped Crono’s bicep. Across the room Ashley looked back at Michael.
“You think it’s an accident he’s here now?”
“...Not a fucking chance.”
“You got me. I got you. Dog with a dog. Ride til we die. If it’s on than it’s on.”
