This series contains elements of a supernatural nature and will play a parody of the Judao-Christian faith. It is not meant to be mocking or subversive but simply done for a creative outlet.
You. Were. Warned.
There are also supernatural elements to this story now. Be warned of that in advance. The supernatural elements of this storyline were only hinted at before but asked by those who wanted this series for it to be added.
“The Pact” is a concept that kept Jesse’s original “Walk the Line” idea alive while honoring that none of them had these “abilities” five years ago to keep the original writer's concept alive.
I hope you enjoy it.
I give you Chapter 22!

“.....I don’t see why…yeah…..alright, bet. See you then.”
Atlas clicked the phone closed and lowered his head with a deep sigh. The other Titans were gathered around with Riley and Amanda sitting on the pool table in the center of the room. Little Riley’s feet not even touching the ground.
Cronos looked over from where he leaned beside Riley and raised one perfectly manicured eyebrows.
“Goin on Cuz?”
“Matthews will be here shortly.”
Crius, who was standing on the opposite of Cronos nearest Atlas lifted an arm and smoothed out his eyebrows and beard.
“That’s the blonde with the nice ass right?”
Atlas leveled Crius in a heavy stare.
“I will smack the shit out of you Crius if you don’t quit.” He warned but added. “But no, the other one. Her brother.”
“Oh….” Hyperion sounded off from the other side of the pool table where he was lounging in one of the chairs. Unlike the other Titans who all wore muscle shirts Hyperion was wearing silk on his smaller frame and a bunch of gold chains. “...So it is the blonde with the nice ass then?”
Atlas and Cronos both looked back at Hyperion and then just burst out laughing.
“He say what he wanted?” Cronos asked.
“Nah.” Atlas answered. “Just some generic bullshit about needing us to look into something locally.”
“Well…come on Ri….”
Amanda pushed herself off the pool table pulling riley with her as she did.
“Let’s get all dolled up.”
“Who the fuck you tryin to impress?” Cronos asked with a lifted brow.
“Southern woman rule #3. A lady having guests must always look her best.” Atlas recited.
Amanda flashed him the most beautiful smile and turned flipping her wealth of blonde hair so it actually hit Cronos in the chin.
“That is why he’s your leader.” She told Riley’s man and left with Riley in tow as she cast apologetic looks back to Cronos.

The plain unmarked vans rounded the corner in the Bronx and everyone inside saw that while these two unremarkable vans in any other neighborhood may roll by unnoticed…everyone here saw them. Every set of eyes followed them.
Children playing in the street watched. Young men and woman hanging out on the stone stairs of the buildings watched. The men and women who hung out at the opening of alleys plying their wares all turned to watch.
They did this for the same reason.
Vans like this in this particular neighborhood usually meant cops.
The pair of vans pulled to a stop at a five story brownstone converted into an apartment block and the doors opened. Once everyone in the neighborhood saw that A. It wasn’t cops and B. They were at the Squad’s house everyone returned to their business.
The first one out was the black haired sharp shooter Ashley Kenyon who climbed out of one of the drivers seats and from the passenger seat beside her came Michael Rivers. The buxom blonde Peyton exited the slide open panel of the same van with The hulking form of The Sins causing the frame to creek as he climbed out and finally Hana climbed out.
From the second van exited a small army of reformed Demons, Silk, Shadow, Maiko and Danielle.
Above them, up the set of five stone stairs, the door opened to reveal the nearly equally massive frame of the Titan Atlas. He wasn’t quite as big as The Sins but he was close a six foot six and nearly three hundred pounds.
His eyes met Ashley’s and a wide grin touched the corners of his mouth. He and Kenyon and her girlfriend had history. Pre-Amanda, but history nonetheless. As he stood smirking a pale white hand came into view from behind him and smacked the back of his head.
“Whatchu smirkin at?” A southern voice cracked. “Huh?”
“Not a thing.” Atlas said at once, the smirk disappearing.
“That’s what I thought.”
The thicc blonde appeared out from behind Atlas wearing a pair of loose fitting track pants and another of the Zombies shirts, this one with her number on it. She took Ashley into a firm embrace despite the previous smirking.
“You’ll have to forgive him.” Amanda told Ashley. “He’s not fully house trained yet.”
It was at this moment that Stafford seemed to notice Peyton standing beside Dean and the humor went out of her eyes. Quickly to be replaced by sheer blind hate.
“The fuck is that cunt doing at my house?!”
Peyton’s face turned a shade of purple but the real story was beside her. The Sins standing beside her suddenly snapped it’s head over and its hand came up grasping the back of the mask and ripping it off.
The eyes changed from one of indifference to one of rage in a split second as the mask came off and Dean forced himself from the hollow and back to the surface.
“The fuck did you just say bitch?” Dean asked with a voice that snapped like a whip. “That’s my wife and you’ll show the proper god damn fucking respect.”
Dean took a warning step forward, looming over the top of the thicc blonde. There was something about this that seemed to trigger Amanda. Her eyes widdened with terror and she shrank back like Dean was going to hit her.
“Do you understand me?!”
This was the reaction that Danika had expected from him when The Sins shoved her out of the way a few days before. His reaction however wasn’t the important one. Suddenly his large stature was met with an equally large one standing directly behind Amanda in defense. Amanda felt Atlas more than she saw him and her fear instantly evaperated.
He as here. Trey was here.
“Take another step and we can put you right back in the ground, Ya Heard?”
Slowly Dean’s head lifted and met the eyes of the Titan Atlas and the two stared a moment. Neither man made a move or said a word as Peyton and Amanda both watched the scene unfold. The only sound was the animalistic style growl that began to reverberate in Dean's throat. A strange inhuman sound.
It wasn’t either of them however who stepped it.
“Alright.” Ashley snapped. “Put your dicks away before someone gets hurt.”
Atlas looked from Dean to Ashley and back but didn’t step back. Ashley however looked at Amanda and motioned to Peyton.
“She’s here because she’s with us.” Ashley explained. “We aren’t really happy about it either but she;s with him and I’m told that we need what’s inside him.”
Amanda looked from Peyton to Ashley and nodded ever so slowly so Ashley looked at Trey and continued.
“Can we go inside? We have important business to discuss and would rather not do it here in the open.”
Atlas had continued to stare at Dean, who stared right back but the Titan moved his gaze to Ashley and nodded.
“The others are inside…come on.”
Atlas turned and led the group inside with Amanda falling in line at the back of the group with Ashley.
“What the hell is this wife shit? Isn’t he married to that Je….”
“Shh!”
Ashley hissed but nodded.
“Yeah…” She whispered under her breath. “We don’t know what’s going on either. At first Michael, Maiko and I all thought it was some kind of wistful thinking but the more he talks about it? Dying…or whatever happened to him in that make-shift hospital seems to have done something to his memories and she looks enough like her now that…she’s been…kind of superimposed on his memories.”
“Like he thinks all the things him and…his wife….did he actually did with Peyton?”
“Right.”
“And ya’ll are letting this happen?!” Amanda snapped under her breath. “This isn’t fair to him…or to his ex wife. It’s like pretending she never existed.”
“It was Michael’s call.” Ashley informed her. “She’s off somewhere living her life. She’s happy and the last thing that he wants is to risk endanger…”
Amanda suddenly stopped dead and grabbed Ashley by the wrist stopping her. When Ashley turned there was a new look in Amanda’s face. It was anger.
“He’s afraid he’ll lose his weapon isn’t he?!” Amanda snapped. “We don't know all of what you all are doing…but Trey has told me the parts he has figured out. You are all fighting that Lucifer psychopath and Michael’s afraid that if Dean knew the truth he’d shut down and be useless to him. He’s fucking using him!”
Ashley just gave a soft acknowledgement nod.
“Welcome to the realities of fighting this war Amanda.” Ashley informed her. “We’re all pieces on a chess board.”
Amanda just looked into the room beyond in disgust as Ashley entered. She and Michael made eye contact and she motioned with her head to the side of the room. Michael broke off to go and speak to her leaving Dean with the Titans.
Hyperion was blinking at him across the room but Crius was white as a sheet.
“Hold the fuck up.” Crius barked. “That’s the coma cat.”
“...Crius.” Cronos said, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Shut the fuck up.”
Atlas sighed and shook his head then turned his attention to Dean.
“What do you need?”
“Truck was hijacked a few hundred miles from here.” Dean informed him. “It has to be being moved locally and I know you know all the chops for 500 miles.
Trey and the other Titans all shared a discreet look and Cronos leaned back on the pool table where Riley was sitting again. She had changed into a pair of low rider jeans, sneakers and a half top that showed off her midriff. She looked a little more hood than Amanda did, but still looked like a million bucks.
“What’s so special about this truck?” Cronos asked. “Yours?”
“We’re looking for it.” Silk told him, folding her arms over her spaghetti strap shirt covered chest. “That’s all you need to worry about.”
Atlas was about to speak when Crius pushed off the wall behind the group and came around between Silk and the others looking her up and down.
“Damn girl.” The bearded man said sweetly. “I’m sure you and I can work out an exchange for the information you're looking fo….”
Crius froze in mid sentence as he felt the tap of something metal and sharp. Slowly he looked down and found the hand of the masked Shadow tapping a Tanto’s tip against the side of his crotch.
“Itteta kke?” Shadow asked behind the mask.
Crius looked from her to Silk with a confused raised brow and Silk laughed.
“She wants you to finish your proposition.”
“Fucking idiot.” Atlas snapped and grabbed his brother Titan by the shirt pulling him away before turning back to Dean. “Lucifer looking for it as well?” Atlas asked and Dean just gave a gentle nod. “Then in that case, I know where you can find it. You want the truck….”
“Or the stone box in the back?” Hyperion asked from where he lounged in his chair.
Michael, who has been speaking to Ashley suddenly looked over sharply and crossed the room with a series of clattering thuds from the cane.
“You know where it is?” Michael demanded.
“I….”
“I’d like to know that as well.” A soft feminine voice started from the group's left.
Footfalls that passed unheard on the floor carried a newcomer to the meeting. Wearing a pair of loose fitting training pants and a simple but elegant Japanese style blouse walked the Right Hand. One hand rested on the sheathed hilt of her katana as she walked.
Immediately the steely hiss of steel coming out rang out and Shadow put herself between her sister and the rest of the group. Sariel simply looked over at Shadow and then back to Atlas.
“Where is it?” Sariel repeated. “You do not want this fight. You remember that.”
Atlas slowly ran his tongue over his lips, his eyes darting around as he processed everything he was seeing. He hadn’t said that they had it, which was the only reason she wasn’t attacking. He knew that much.
“I said I might know where it is.” Atlas told her defiantly.
From behind Sariel came a pair of matching growls. Deep and inhuman and from the doorway stepped two large men. Neither of them were the size of the Titans or The Sins but both were still much bigger than the others or Michael. The strange black like ooze that bulged their veins had spread from the eyes to down the sides of the neck now.
Shadow shifted her gaze to the pair of demons and behind her Silk’s hand dropped to the pair of canons locked to her waist. Dean also turned to face the approaching Demons prepared to fight, but to their surprise Sariel opened her arms and the back of her palms hit the approaching men’s chest and they stopped dead.
“Find it and surrender it to me.” Sariel commanded. “....Do that and we’ll leave your crew in one piece. This is your only warning….”
Sariel began to turn and leave when an angry voice snapped.
“Anata wa jibun ga mamotte kita subete o uragitte imasu!”
Sariel paused and looked back over her shoulder.
“Imōto no koto o shiranakatta to omounara.”
Shadow blinked and stepped back a little shocked as Sariel led the Demons out without a fight. Ashley turned to Silk and motioned between the sisters.
“Wanna explain that?” Ashley demanded.
“....Shadow told her that she was betraying everything she ever protected.” Silk explained. “....And Sara told her that she never really knew her if she thought that.”
Michael turned and looked at the now empty doorway. This lended credence to something he had long thought. He had often wondered why he was alive. Why any of them were. Sariel was more than capable of taking them all….and yet here they stood.
“The truck…” Atlas started.
“...Don’t.” Dean warned. “We have no way of knowing if she’s still listening.”
“Ash?” Michael ordered. “Take Maiko and Shadow.”
Maiko turned sharply and looked at Michael.
“We should remain.” Maiko insisted. “If they return you’ll need protection.”
“That’s why I am here.” Dean told her and looked toward the door. “Go. You know her better than anyone.”
Maiko looked as if she wanted to further argue but instead she turned and followed Shadow and Ashley from the room. The group waited until the three had been outside for awhile then Michael turned back to the Titans.
“Where is it?” He asked.
“Stash house.” Cronos answered. “About a block and a half from here.”
“Of course you took it.” Peyton said with a snort.
Atlas shot her a look but held his tongue when the desire rose to call her one colorful name or another. Dean crossed his arms over his chest and placed his chin between his fingers.
“No way we can have you take us to it now.” He mused.
“Stay here tonight….The crew owns this whole apartment block so we got plenty of room.”
Amanda looked sharply at her man as he said this. She lifted a hand and pointed to Peyton.
“You expect me to stay under the same roof as that….” Amanda paused and took a deep breath. “As her?”
Atlas, seeing the dark look cross Dean’s face again looked down at the blonde standing beside him.
“Yea…” He told her. “I do. This is bigger than us Manda.”
Amanda looked across the room at the blonde standing beside Dean.
“Stay clear.” She warned. “I won’t give a second warning.”
Peyton just smiled that maddening smile and wrapped both arms around Dean’s forearm.
“I plan on standing near my husband.”
The muscles of Amanda’s jaw clenched as she bit back a retort about that but Trey looked over at Dean.
“Once everyone is settled? Past midnight we’ll take you, Michael and Ashley over. Cronos, Crius and I. Then we can get a plan together to get it out of there.”
“....Agreed.”
“You feelin like you running? Now you know how we feel.”
