NFW Presents: MARCH MAYHEM V! 03/30/2024!

The camera angle switches to ringside after the Wolves of Odinn leave their message, showing Seth Ernst, Lucas Knox and Miranda Augustino all looking stunned in silence. Rather than them saying anything, the tron comes to life again with LeeAnn Viskan in her office. She stands there…unabashed. More irritated than anything from the look in her eyes, like she’s keeping it bottled up inside. After a moment, the veteran gives a forced smile.

LeeAnn Viskan: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen of Chicago and to those watching at home. Welcome to New Frontier Wrestling’s fifth annual March Mayhem: the first Trauma exclusive supercard of the year in which each mat is decided by pure chance via a spin of the wheel. This wheel…

She steps aside, giving a gesture to the wheel, via Vanna White though rather lackadaisical given what just happened.

LeeAnn Viskan: The Wheel of Mayhem. On this wheel are a variety of different match types which tonight’s competitors will have the chance of having to compete in. These options were picked randomly from the proverbial hat, you could say.

She looks to the wheel and her forced smile simply drops as she looks unamused.

LeeAnn Viskan: Trust me when I say…if I had the option to pick each and every possible outcome, this thing would have more of a kick to it, but alas…

There’s that forced smile again as she looks back into the camera.

LeeAnn Viskan: Even the Mistress of Pain answers to a higher power. Shout out to you, Steve. Love you.

She kisses her hand and unenthusiastically waves her fingers. She then claps her hands together, and her eyes go wide, practically forcing herself to give off more energy.

LeeAnn Viskan: So, without further adieu, let’s get started with tonight’s event!

LeeAnn puts her hand on the wheel, pauses, shakes her head with a sigh and gives the wheel a spin. The lights flash on the rim as an 8-bit version of “You Spin Me ‘Round” plays as the wheel rotates in a blur. LeeAnn looks deadpan into the camera but doesn’t say a word out loud. Her expression says it all. ”Who the fuck designed this goddamn wheel this year?” The wheel slows down to crawl before finally coming to a stop on….

LeeAnn Viskan: And there you have it! Your opening contest, hers, hims and gentlethems…will be a Tables Match. Isabella, the floor is yours.

LeeAnn turns and walks over to her desk. Before the tron cuts away from her office, we see her from behind as she picks up a full bottle of booze and starts to unscrew the cap.

Isabella Salvatore: Welcome to NFW March Mayhem! This is our opening contest is a tables match for the NFW United States Championship. Coming to the ring first, standing at one hundred eighty centimeters and ninety-eight kilograms, hailing from Saitama, Japan… he is the Last Shogun, HIDEO WATANABE!!
When the speakers in the arena began to play RISE by MADKID, the lights flashed in an array of colors to match the speed of the song. Soon enough Hideo Watanabe stepped out onto the stage with his arms reached out towards all of the fans in attendance. He gave them an air hug with a large smile as he began to make his way to the ring, occasionally pointing out to some of the fans that he may have missed. He then got on the ring apron, jumping inside over the ropes where he ran to and jumped on the second rope, once again throwing out an air hug to the people, followed by throwing up the international symbol of love to the fans. He hopped off the corner and waited for the match to begin.
The arena fades to black and as it does we are treated to the loud sounds of Real Emotion by FamilyJules blasting all across the speakers. We are treated to fog filling the arena that looks like mist and snow flurries begin to fall from the ceiling. As the music picks up we can see two figures emerging through the curtain. Those figures are the Zdunichs. Seleana claps for her wife as Crystal – who dons the United States belt over her shoulder - emerges out in blue top with white ruffles on the front and extended down to her knee on the left side. She wears a short, black lace skirt with a white belt. She wears blue glovelets fastened by black straps. She has black ribbons on her upper arms and knee-high brown UGG Style boots with no heel. Crystal smirks as she has a white rose in her hand and she smells it bringing a smile to her face.

Isabella Salvatore: And his opponent, standing at five feet, five inches and one hundred fifteen pounds, hailing from Detroit, Michigan… she is the Winter Rose and your NFW United States Champion, CRYSTAL HILTON!!


Crystal walks down the aisle all smiles. She claps the hands of the outstretched fans as she stops and hands her white rose to a special little girl in the audience. She finally makes it to the ring where she does a split to enter the ring. She rises back up and blows kisses to all of the fans that are cheering her on. She bounces about as Seleana claps her hands for her wife. Crystal waves her hands running her hands through her long blue hair as she waits for the match to start.
The crowd’s excitement is nothing short of electric as the bell rings and Hideo and Crystal meet dead center in the ring. Crystal looks up into Hideo’s eyes, unflinching, almost daring him to do something. The fact Hideo is taller and almost a hundred pounds heaver than Crystal bothers her not in the least. Hideo, for his part, stares down at her stone-faced while he mentally dissects the best points of attack on her. Crystal, misreading this for him arrogantly thinking he’s too good for her, throws up her hands and starts smack-talking him. Again, Hideo does nothing as he thinks. Finally, Crystal turns to Seleana and points at Hideo, making a snarky comment not picked up on mics over fan chatter, before she flings an elbow at the man’s chest.

Unfortunately for Crystal, this snaps Hideo from his stream of thoughts and he snags the arm out of the air. He twists the Winter Rose’s limb behind her back while twisting her hand at the wrist, working her joints. Crystal yelps out in pain despite herself, trying to yank free. She attempts to said her free arm’s elbow backwards at Hideo but the Last Shogun blocks it with his own arm, then lifts Crystal up by her waist before dropping her tailbone on an outstretched knee. Crystal howls in agony as she stumbles forwards, but again Hideo grabs her arm, this time spinning and whipping Crystal to the ropes. Crystal hits the cables and, on rebound, launches at Hideo in a crossbody. The Last Shogun may not be known as the strongest grappler in NFW, but he easily catches Zdunich, turns, and plants her in a spinebuster. The champ rolls towards the ropes, grabbing the bottom cable for safety as she pants. Seeing her holding onto the ropes, Hideo backs up respectfully as the referee gets between them.

Outside the ring, Seleana offers Crystal words of support, sometimes turning to the fans to egg them on to cheer for her wife. Crystal smiles at her as she pulls herself up by the ropes and walks about the ring, trying to shake off the impact she just took. As the ref steps aside, Hideo approaches Crystal and the two lock up. Hideo immediately attempts to send the smaller champ over in an arm drag but Crystal, somehow, lands on her feet and, using the momentum, flings Hideo over in an arm drag himself. The Japanese fighter lands on his side while Crystal twists his arm at the shoulder and drops a knee into his ribs. She grinds her kneecap into his side for extra pain while the referee checks for a submission. Hideo, his face reddening from pain and frustration, shakes his head, “No” at this. Finally, Hideo manages to push himself up to his knees and, after much arm twisting, his feet. He manages to pull his arm free from Crystal’s grasp and fling her forward to the ropes. On the rebound, Hideo picks Crystal up but she begins flipping over and around him, finally planting the man to the canvas with a tilt-a-whirl ddt.

Hideo’s head bounces off the plywood and he rolls to his side, attempting to get up in the same motion but his lost bearings make him wobble and flounder instead. While he staggers and attempts to stand, Crystal throws herself at the opposite ropes and bounces towards Hideo. The Shogun barely gets upright before she leaps onto him, this time sending him to the mat in a tilt-a-whirl arm drag. Hideo’s body bounces across the ring before rolling to a stop. He pushes himself up to his hands and knees but Crystal runs at him, leaping off his back like springboard, to jump onto the top turnbuckle. Flipping backwards in a moonsault, she lands with her knees in Hideo’s back. The man flattens out as Crystal rolls off of him.

As Hideo lays, dazed. Crystal rolls out of the ring and searches under it, pulling out a table. She slides it into the squared circle and follows right after. She flips it over and starts to set it up. But as she does, Hideo gets to his feet and strides up behind her. Crystal puts the table down right with the Shogun spins her around. Sucker punching her in the gut. Hideo lifts Crystal and hurls her down into the table…

… which collapses instead of breaking because Crystal hadn’t locked it properly. Hideo takes in the situation, muttering under his breath. He grabs Crystal, pulling her to her feet. Crystal attempts to whip the man but he reverses it. Crystal leaps off the middle rope, twisting in the air as she spins towards Hideo…

Right into an uppercut that knocks the Winter Rose’s bloom off. She falls to the mat with a thud. Hideo wastes no time setting onto her, realizing he needs to ground Crystal if he wants to take the belt from her. For that, he needs to go beyond his usual roster of preferred moves, so he rolls Crystal over, grabs her right leg, and slaps an ankle lock on her. Zdunich shrieks out in pain as the man twists her foot, seeming to want to spin it in a circle. She claws and pulls at the canvas, fruitlessly trying to reach the bottom rope but to no avail. Finally, Hideo releases the hold… only to grab Crystal’s left leg and give it an ankle lock. All the while the referee asks Crystal if she is okay, since submission doesn’t matter. She only screams out in his face.

Hideo releases her other stem and reaches down, grabbing Crystal around the waist. He hauls her up off her feet before flinging her backwards overhead. The Winter Rose hits the mat and rolls backwards into a corner, her head hitting the bottom turnbuckle. Hideo runs at her, but jumps over Crystal, landing with his feet on the middle rope. Grabbing the top ropes, Hideo jumps backwards and lands with his feet on Crystal’s kneecaps. He jumps up again for another double stomp on her knees before hopping off her and grabbing Crystal by the neck, slinging her to the middle of the ring.

Crystal attempts to get up but her legs immediately give in, momentarily too numb to respond. She collapses to the mat, swearing at her body for not working with her. She feels a large hand latch onto the back of her neck and pull her to her feet. Hideo attempts to whip Crystal but she manages to reverse the attack. Hideo slams off the ropes and soars backwards, attempting a handspring Pele kick. Crystal manages to duck the kick and throw her shoulder into Hideo, collapsing on top of him as the land in a heap. Crystal manages to slam a kick across Hideo’s temple, knocking him back to the mat.

While he is laid out, Crystal runs over to the table. She knows she will have issues lifting the much heavier Hideo, but there are always other options. She picks the table up and positions it in a corner. Then, returning to the Shogun, Crystal yanks Hideo up by his hair. She wraps an arm around his head and runs towards the table, hoping to bulldog the challenger through it – but at the last moment, Hideo, shoves the champ off of him and she finds herself flying towards the trap she set up. Crystal manages to throw herself forward into a handstand, stopping short of hitting the table. Hideo runs at her and attempts a basement dropkick, but Crystal falls to the side in time to miss him. Instead, Hideo’s feet slam into the base of the table, flipping it on top of him.

The two get up, Crystal seemingly having some trouble with her knees. Hideo pushes the table back to the mat and rises, seeing this as an opportunity. He closes in on Crystal, folding her forwards with a midsection kick. He wraps an arm around her neck, but Crystal grabs his leg and sends Hideo to the mat in a small package pin. She quickly remembers that doesn’t count and releases him. As Crystal stands, Hideo slams his forearm into her chest once… twice--

But on third attempt Crystal catches his arm and twists it, pulling Hideo down and forward. She lifts a leg before dropping her heel onto his back and sending him to his knees. Hideo retaliates by grabbing Crystal’s left leg and yanking it, knocking her onto her back as he pulls his arm free. The two roll around the ring, with Hideo standing up first. As Crystal gathers herself, Hideo launches at her and brings the champ down to the mat in a slingblade. He then rebounds off the ropes and hits Crystal with a basement dropkick that sends her out of the ring, landing on the back of her head.

Seleana runs to her wife, helping her up, as the referee starts his count. Again, Hideo remains a respectful distance, letting his opponent get up. By three, Crystal is standing, leaning on Seleana, who is asking if she’s okay. Crystal offers a groggy, less-than-convincing, “Yes,’ before pulling herself onto the ring skirt and rolling under the bottom rope. She slowly enters the ring, and the second she is no longer holding the ropes, Hideo rushes past the referee and knocks Crystal down with a chopblock. She does her best to roll forward and pull herself up by the ropes, not noticing Hideo popping up and heading further back in the ring. She turns in time for the Last Shogun to greet her with a running enzuigiri which lays Crystal out.

As Crystal collapses, Hideo turns to the folded table. He picks it up and sets it up, making sure to lock it in place. He returns to Crystal, hauling her up. He pulls the Winter Rose up for a running powerbomb. He runs at the table and brings her down…

… but instead of going through the table, Crystal throws her arms backwards, catching herself against the table top. And, to Hideo’s chagrin, it works. She stops the impact. He pulls her away again and drops her, but once more Crystal manages to prevent herself from going through the table.

Flustered at how close he was to claiming the title, Hideo slings Crystal to the mat. He stomps towards her, pulling Crystal up by the throat. The champ attempts to fight back, thrusting her open palm into his throat. Hideo stumbles back and Crystal lunges at him. Hideo’s mind snaps back to his plan – disable her legs. Again, he reaches past his usual repertoire and catches Crystal in a rolling kneebar. The woman thuds on the mat and cries out in utter agony and Hideo puts her in a “tap or snap” situation. Zdunich’s body convulses like she’s being electrocuted, unable to even answer the referee if she’s okay.

But this isn’t a move Hideo is used to doing and his grip isn’t sure. Crystal manages to tug a bit, although not free herself. She throws herself at Hideo as best she can, clubbing her fist on the side of his head. After the fifth strike, the man releases the hold. Crystal attempts to stand up but stumbles and falls. That’s all Hideo honestly needs to see.

Hideo picks the table up and sets it up correctly in a corner. Next, he picks Crystal up and throws her over his shoulder, heading to the same corner. He places the woman onto the ring post and climbs up the turnbuckles. Then, Hideo goes to life her up in a perfect vertical so he can slice Crystal down through the table with his Eternal Black, a top rope brainbuster. But Crystal begins slugging him in the ribs, over and over. Hideo lowers Crystal back to the ring post, trying to get a better grip. Crystal, however, raises a boot into his chest and shoves. Hideo scrambles to keep his balance but gravity has other plans as the Shogun falls backwards…

… right through the table.
Isabella Salvatore: Your winner and still NFW United States Championship… CRYSTAL HILTON!

Exhausted, Crystal climbs off the top of the ringpost and tests her legs. Seleana rolls into the ring and rushes to her wife’s side, helping her up and pulling an arm over her shoulder. She kisses Crystal, demanding to know if she’s okay. The champ assures her wife she can stand on her own but Seleana isn’t interested in letting her try.

The referee takes the belt from a ring attendant and hands it to Crystal, who hoists it up for the fans to see. Cheering explodes into the arena.

Hideo stands from the wreckage, shaking out the cobwebs. He is obviously disappointed and frustrated as he walks towards the happy couple. Seleana sees Hideo first and instinctively gets between him and Crystal. Hideo puts up his hands, swearing to her he’s not going to attack. Crystal assures Seleana it’s okay as she faces the challenger. Hideo extends a hand. Crystal studies it for a second, then accepts. The two shake, then Hideo raises Crystal’s arm to the fans before leaving the ring. As Hideo trudges up the aisle to the entrance, the Zdunichs celebrate in the ring.

The tron comes to life and we see LeeAnn Viskan, once again in her office. She seems a bit chipper, now that she’s had time to relax after what transpired earlier. Or perhaps it’s the little bit of spirits she’s presumably been sipping on. Nonetheless, she smiles genuinely at the camera.

LeeAnn Viskan: Well that was more exciting than I expected. No offense to the champion and challenger but tables matches usually bore me. At least we got that one out of the way early. So!

She pulls the placard for the Tables Match off the wheel and tosses it over her shoulder.

LeeAnn Viskan: Shall we continue? I can’t wait to see what we get for this match. Raseri, you made one hell of an arrival tonight during a show that I allowed you to guest appear on for this to happen. Hope you keep that energy for the night because your match, right now, against Ashley Kenyon, is going to be…

She spins the wheel and the lights start flashing again, but this time the music that comes from it is an actual recording of “Spin Your Block” by Clepto Maniack. LeeAnn stares at the wheel, briefly looking at the camera with a baffled look.

LeeAnn Viskan: This thing changes music?

The wheel slows down to a stop and the music switches off.

LeeAnn Viskan: Damn, that was kinda catchy. Anyway!

She looks where the needle has landed and lifts her eyebrows, looking to the camera.

LeeAnn Viskan: Pay close attention to this one, ladies. Your specific Finishing maneuvers are banned from this match. Should you use them in any way, shape or form, you will be disqualified.

She winks, keeping that eye closed as she points a gun hand at the camera and clicks her tongue.

Isabella Salvatore: The following contest is set for one fall!
The lights in the area go dark just before the beginning of Billie Eilish’s “You Should See Me In A Crown” hits the sound system.


A spotlight finds a woman standing silently on the ramp, seemingly having risen out of the darkness if not nowhere at all.


The woman throws back a hood to show the face of Shanna “Raseri” Mitchell standing with her manager, Calypso Bates..


Raseri starts down the aisle, Calypso following along behind her.


The women reach the ringside and slowly filter into the ring until they’re both standing there ready for whatever is going to come.


Isabella Salvatore: Introducing first, wrestling out of the Raven’s Moon Academy, this is Raseri!
Slash's "World On Fire" starts up and the lights start dancing about. Ten seconds in, the main riff starts and Ashley Kenyon walks through the curtain, arms raised to accept whatever reaction she's gonna get. She smirks and sashays down to the ring, making sure everybody's getting a good look as she goes. She steps up to the apron and shakes her ass before seductively bending over and slipping between the ropes into the ring. She walks to the center of the ring and wags a finger as if to say, "no touching," even as she nods contradictorily, egging the fans on to want more and more of whatever it is she's selling them.

Isabella Salvatore: And her opponent, from New Orleans, Louisiana, this is Ashley Kenyon!


The crowd buzzes in anticipation as Ashley and Raseri stare at each other from across the ring. Ashley watches on as Raseri rubs her hands together, seemingly letting herself taste the carnage that is to come already. Ashley just shoots her a look like she’s saying, “Well bring it on already!” Raseri’s smirk only grows as she looks back across the ring, sizing Ashley up as a prime piece of meat she's getting ready to carve into other things. The two start walking out to the center of the ring simultaneously, coming together as the crowd cheers on the very idea of the opening of hostilities. Ashley and Raseri stand there, glaring almost through each other as the referee watches on, tense and seemingly worried that the whole place will explode any second now.

Seth Ernst: The tension between these two is palpable! Like they’re really living that cliche about it being so thick, you can cut it with a knife.

Miranda Augustino: With these two, it’d have to be a really big knife cause a smaller one just isn’t gonna make it all the way through.

Lucas Knox: Knife hell, these two, you’d need a chainsaw and a full tank of gas!

Seth Ernst: And they haven’t even started yet!

Miranda Augustino: No, but everybody knows the boom is coming.

Lucas Knox: And the question will be how bad is this going to be?

Raseri’s smirk vanishes and in a flash, she starts throwing punches at Ashley’s face, firing off again and again and again and again. Ashey gets her hands up and starts firing back in kind. The two hammer away, not so much trading as much as twin jackhammers trying to chisel the same rock. Raseri eats one and drops to a knee just to get in a shot to Ashley’s midsection. Ashley doubles over but nails Raseri with an elbow to the back of the head. Raseri goes down clutching at her head. Ashley drops into the cover.


Raseri hits Ashley again in the midsection with her knee during the kickout. Ashley rolls away and Raseri jumps up, to get Ashley with a baseball slide type kick to send her under the ropes to the edge of the ring. Ashley tumbles over from the impact and plummets to the floor, landing with a splat. Raseri follows her out and drops down. Ashley punches Raseri in the midsection. Raseri doubles over and Ashley pulls her forward by the edge of her pants to send her into the ring post. Raseri goes down hard, bleeding from hitting her head on the post. Ashley goes over and reaches down to pull Raseri up. Raseri gives Ashley a shove and Ashley hits the post herself. Raseri gets up and dives in before rolling out just to break the count out on them. Ashley turns and drills Raseri in the chest. Raseri staggers back against the edge of the ring. Ashley moves in and Raseri grabs her, running her into the ring’s edge and then bouncing her head off the apron. Raseri tosses Ashley back in and follows right behind her. The referee sees both competitors bleeding and shudders even as Raseri comes in and drops a knee. She covers.


Raseri mounts Ashley and starts pounding away, raining fists down with thunderous and hate-filled intentions. Ashley reaches up even as her blood flows even more. Raseri hammers aways and Ashley catches her hands and rolls. Reversing the position, Ashley starts to pound away. Raseri reaches up and rolls into a cradle.


Seth Ernst: The punishment these two are inflicting on each other is just…

Miranda Augustino: The blood is flowing quite freely.

Lucas Knox: Well, isn’t that what Raseri wanted?

Seth Ernst: On Ashley, not herself.

Miranda Augustino: I’m sure she’ll give the one to get the other.

Lucas Knox: Of that, there is no doubt!
The two combatants jump to their feet and start blasting each other again, each answering the other as they trade, Raseri, Ashley, Raseri, Ashley, Raseri, Ashley, Raseri, Ashley, Raseri, Ashley, Raseri, Ashley, Raseri, Ashley, Raseri, Ashley! Raseri gets an upkick and Ashley snaps back from the impact. Raseri jumps into a flying knee that knocks Ashley down onto one knee. Raseri runs back to the ropes and leaps for a short sunset flip.


Raseri gets on top and starts pounding away again, blood flying all over as she does so. Ashley grabs at her wrists. Raseri gets in another shot to the face. Ashley hits back and Raseri goes for the eyes. Ashley knees her in the groin and then goes for a cradle of her own.


Raseri gets to her feet and grabs Ashley for an O’Connor roll.


Raseri is propelled towards the ropes. She drops down and slides out to the apron. Shr pops up and goes for Mjolnir. Ashley staggers up and sees her coming. She loads up to give her the Kiss Off out of midair but manages to stop herself, knowing it’ll lead to a disqualification if she hits it. Raseri goes flying over her and rolls to the opposite ropes. She pops up and hits a springboard moonsault into a tornado ddt, her late mother’s old Maiden’s Mercy finish. She hits it and covers



Seth Ernst: Raseri won with her mother’s big maneuver, Maiden’s Mercy!

Miranda Augustino: Ashley never saw it coming!

Lucas Knox: Poetic…

Seth Ernst: Wait.. what is she doing now?

Miranda Augustino: ¡Ay chihuahua!

Lucas Knox: Raseri’s not done yet!
Raseri jumps on Ashley and grabs her kicking leg and tries for a knee bar. Ashley flails about like a fish on a river bank, trying to get loose. She manages to kick her and Raseri pulls her up for another big DDT. Raseri smirks and rolls away, slipping out of the ring, nodding to herself. She grabs the little hammer used to ring the bell and slides back in. She hits Ashley in the head with it causing Ashley to cover up just enough. Raseri starts using it on the same knee, as if she’s ringing the bell repeatedly. Ashley sits up to hit her and Raseri mounts Ashley, pounding her a few more times. Ashley tries to hit back but Raseri gives her a big elbow and then rolls away, laughing to herself. She clips out and takes a bow for the booing crowd.

Seth Ernst: What a despicable act!

Miranda Augustino: She wanted to make a statement.

Lucas Knox: She definitely did.

Seth Ernst: Was it the one she needed?

Miranda Augustino: It’s what she wanted.

Lucas Knox: I think Ashley got the…

Just then, Ashley’s voice rings out.

Ashley Kenyon: HEY! Raseri… Oracle, Shanna, whatever fuckin’ name you wanna use this week… you promised to end me…

She slaps the wound on her head.

Ashley Kenyon: You ain’t killed me yet, kid! You ain’t got the gump…

Before she can finish her thought, Raseri dives in and starts trying to beat Ashley into silent submission again. She’s gotten a couple of shots in before Tanja Devereaux hits the ring, chair in hand. She swings it and Raseri dives away, rolling out of the way and out of the ring. Tanja waves it at her, almost inviting her to come back. Raseri shakes her head, the smirk now long gone, replaced with a hate and rage-filled scowl that says this is not over.

Seth Ernst: Raseri tries to hurt Ashley Kenyon and got a champion’s answer for it!

Miranda Augustino: I… this is quite the development.

Lucas Knox: Well, crossbrand fighting just went literal!

Seth Ernst: What did we just witness?

Miranda Augustino: Raseri making a statement, Ashley surviving and Tanja showing she will stand by somebody even if nobody ever saw it coming!

Lucas Knox: This really is March Mayhem!

Before the next match begins, of course, the cameras cut backstage to inside LeeAnn’s office. “Spin Your Block” by Clepto Maniack is playing again, except this time it’s on her actual stereo system. She’s got a glass in her hand with a trace of amber liquid swaying in it, eyes closed, lost in the music as she sway-dances to it. She looks even more relaxed than before. To the point that the tie she had on as part of her women’s suit is gone and the collar of her shirt is loosened.

LeeAnn Viskan: ♫I just wanna spin yo block, toniiiiight. Yeah…yeah… No Biggie, you gon’ get big popped, toniiiiight…♫

The cameraman clears his throat, getting her attention. She realizes they’re live and pauses, looking at the drink in her hand. She thinks for a second, toasts the audience and washes the rest of the drink down.

LeeAnn Viskan: Ahem! Well, that didn’t go the way I was hoping.

LeeAnn catches herself, clearing her throat.

LeeAnn Viskan: I mean, good match, ladies!

She gives a thumbs up and turns to the wheel, ripping the “No Finishers” placard off and tossing it aside. Something breaks and we hear a cat yeowl, causing LeeAnn to look back and around her before looking at the camera with confusion on her clearly buzzed face. Shaking it off, she turns to the wheel again and sets it spinning. This time, it does the Pac-Man “Wakawakawakawaka” as it spins before stopping. LeeAnn looks up at where the needle landed and for the first time tonight, her trademark, twisted little grin appears on her face as she nods at the camera, licking her teeth.

LeeAnn Viskan: Now we’re talking… This next match will be…Traitor’s! Gate! No disqualification. Pinfall or submission.

She leans in a little and brings her hand up to the side of her mouth, mockingly whispering.

LeeAnn Viskan: And you must make your opponent bleed before even attempting to score the fall. Make me proud sweeties!

The arena lights slowly fade out. Throughout the arena cell phone lights sporadically pop up in the darkness. The arena was suddenly filled with the loud cawing of a single crow. After a few moments, it was joined by another. Then more and more join in. Before long the arena was filled with the sound of cawing crows. The cawing was replaced with a multitude of beating wings. The sound of a large group of birds flying rises to a peak and then slowly fades out. Once again in silence, the arena is filled with the voice of a young girl.



Isabella Salvatore: Introducing first…she hails from Los Angeles, California…representing Sedition Rising and accompanied by Ashe Corvin..

Then Stabbing Westward’s cover of “Burn” starts to play throughout the arena. A spotlight finds Lana Corvin standing at the top of the ramp. Her head is down hiding her face. She throws her head back and her arms out. As she does the arena lights snap back on. Lana stands there with her head back just reveling in the negative reaction from the crowd. Slowly she lowers her head and looks right into the camera with a smirk. She points at herself arrogantly. Her gear tonight was black, white, and gold. She strolled down the ramp like she owned the place. She even heckled the occasional fan.



Isabella Salvatore: She is…LANA CORVIN!!!

She starts to strut her way toward the ring as the lights raise and the song continues. She talks some smack with some of the more vocal and heckling members of the crowd. She returns all of their verbal jabs as only one of the Corvins can. She continues her mocking of the crowd by pointing to herself and then to the crowd in sync with the lyrics. She climbs the ring steps and then into the ring. She circles around glaring out at the crowd and talking more trash. She then runs to one set up the ropes and stands up on them raising an arm high. She jumps down and moves to her corner to wait for the match to start.


Isabella Salvatore: And her opponent, hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. She is…AILYN DARRINGTON!!!
The bell sounded, and Lana and Ailyn immediately locked up in the center of the ring. The volume from the crowd was almost deafening as the two women battled for dominance in the middle of the ring, but it seemed to grow when Ailyn was able to throw a few elbows into Lana’s abdomen. Corvin released the lock-up, and Darrington whipped her into the corner though she didn’t get quite as much oomph behind it as she seemed to want to. Lana still slammed into the turnbuckles hard, but as Ailyn came running at her, looking for a running kick that was inspired by her Muay Thai training. At the last minute, Lana got out of the way, leaving Ailyn to get hung up on the rope!

Crowd: LET’S GO, AILYN! LET’S GO, AILYN! LET’S GO, AILYN!

Lana took advantage of Ailyn being hung up to nail her with a high knee straight to her back before she could turn around after getting her leg off of the rope. Ailyn slammed into the corner front first with a groan, and she turned herself around, trying to catch her breath. Corvin smirked as she looked at the other woman, asking her where her spunk was now. She smacked Ailyn on the back of the head a few times, laughing as she did. Lana went to grab Ailyn to pull her up, but the young woman swept her legs from under her instead, causing her to hit the mat! Darrington scrambled to her feet in time to hit Lana with a standing shooting star press! Lana rolled out of the ring to get away from Ailyn after the impact, and Ashe went over to check on her.

Seth Ernest: Neither of these women have drawn blood yet, but they're not taking it easy on one another either.

Miranda Augustino: Lana is tired of Ailyn running her mouth, and she’s determined to put a stop to it here tonight.

Lucas Knox: Both are generational stars, but Lana has made her own legacy in NFW while Ailyn has yet to do so.

Darrington rolled her eyes at the Corvins and began saying something to the referee who simply shrugged. Ailyn got out of the ring to go after Lana, leaping off of the apron to hit her with a hurricanrana. What she hadn’t seen was Ashe pulling out his signature black baseball bat, quickly passing it to Lana who clocked Ailyn right in the head! The young wrestler fell to the floor by the apron, semi-sprawled out. THWACK! Another hit from the bat onto the downed Darrington as the fans boo’ed Corvin loudly. She raised the bat for another hit, but before she could bring it down, Ailyn caught her in the side with a lead pipe! Normally, Darrington wouldn’t use weapons, but she knew that this match would be a special exception type of thing.

Ailyn used the apron to support herself as she got up, and this gave the fans the opportunity to see that the shot from the bat had split her open! There was blood streaming from her forehead, coating her face in red. Ailyn looked at the pipe in her hand then looked at Lana before swinging the weapon at her! She nailed her right in the head not once or twice, but three times! She dropped the pipe and hit a snap suplex, slamming her back with a vengeance that made a few of the audience members wince until they noticed the blood starting to fall down Corvin’s face from one of the pipe shots. When Darrington noticed it as well, she pulled Lana to her feet slowly and rolled her back into the ring where she started stirring.

Crowd: THIS IS AWESOME! THIS IS AWESOME! THIS IS AWESOME!

At this point, both women’s faces were covered in blood from having been busted open. Lana had pulled herself up to her feet as Ailyn got into the ring. The wear and tear from the match was getting to them as they both took heavy breaths as they glared at one another. Darrington ran at Corvin, looking for a suplex, but Lana countered it with one of her own. With Ailyn down, Lana made her way over to the ropes before jumping onto them, hitting Goddess’s Favor! Instead of going for a pin, Lana slowly lifted Ailyn back to her feet, telling her she wasn’t getting off that easy. Lana hit a vicious The Glorifier before pinning Ailyn.
