The cameras return to the inside of the Target Center as the camera sweeps over the crowd all holding up Burning Hearts signs while some hold up signs in support of their choice to win.

After sweeping across the arena filled with amped up fans, the camera settles on the announce table where Nick Hanson and Miranda Augustino sit, ready and waiting for the event to begin. “Hearts Burst Into Fire” continues to play over the speakers as viewers are welcomed.

“Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the Burning Hearts Tournament! We had one hell of a first round last night! Tonight, we’re gonna wrap it all up! We’ve got the second round, the semi-finals and the finals taking place! Sixteen teams started and we are down to eight! Some teams are gonna have two matches tonight. Two of them are gonna have three! Seven are going home empty handed but only one team will walk away with the Burning Hearts Championships! I’m Nick Hanson, alongside my broadcast partner, Miranda Augustino. You got your Starbucks?”

[Second Round Match #1. Ace King & Shelley Silver v. Big Daddy Payne & LeeAnn Viskan]
This was a match that everyone had been buzzing and hoping for from the moment the tournament was announced. As luck would have it, fans were getting what they wished for as the essential power couples of NFW and EWC respectively, met for the first time in the ring. While there was a respect for each other’s tenure, especially towards the team of BDP and LeeAnn, no punches were pulled as the two teams engaged in an absolute war inside and outside the ring. Youth looked to be on the side of Ace King and Shelley Silver as they brought it all against the older, veteran couple. Age and experience proved to be the prevalent factor in this case as LeeAnn Viskan wowed the crowd with a suicide dive through the ropes onto Shelley Silver outside of the ring, bringing her down. Meanwhile, as this went on, BDP delivered the Bukakke Blast to Ace King and covered him for the 1...2...3!

[Second Round Match #2. Mia Hayashi & Adrianna Salvatore v. Eddy Poe & Dona Rotten]
Given the recent bad blood between Angel Kusanagi and Cherry Addams, this match ended up being an absolute fucking WAR!! While it started with Mia and Dona in the ring, the Scream Queen and young woman often referred to as NFW’s Little Troublemaker came at each other, hitting hard and relentlessly. Dona gained the upper hand first and used a combination of her brawling style and impressive enough power to manhandle little Mia around the ring. Once she had her fill, she tagged in Eddy Poe who happily entered the ring to continue the assault. Dona wasn’t ready to leave the ring just yet, however, and stayed in for some brief two on one while the referee chided her and tried to get her out of the ring. With the referee’ distracted here, Adrianna Salvatore angrily got into the ring and came in like a bat out of hell, hitting Eddy with a bicycle kick so hard, it knocked the Slasher through the ropes. Dona pushed passed the ref and ran in for a lariat. Adrianna ducked, causing Dona to go into the ropes but before she rebounded too far off of them, Adrianna rushed in and hit a Spear that took her and Dona both out of the ring.

The Slasher caught her sideways, however, shook his head and threw Mia like a child right across the Spanish Announce Table. Meanwhile, Dona and Adrianna were engaged in an all out brawl at ringside as Eddy slid back into the ring to let the referee begin the count. Mia managed to make it back into the ring on time while Dona and Adrianna broke off and got back onto the apron. Just in time for Mia, especially as Eddy Poe began to stalk towards her with a sick smile, backing her towards her corner where Adrianna blind tagged herself in and entered the match, getting right in Eddy’s face. Eddy blasted her with a forearm and Adrianna came right back, engaging in an uncomfortably stiff strike-off with the man. She ate what he fed her, however and stayed up for more before Adrianna showed just how strong she was to any new viewers, dodging a big boot and hitting Eddy Poe with a release German Suplex to the pop of the crowd, causing the announcers to go nuts. Dona tagged herself back in and came in swinging. Just as Dona started looking like she was wearing down Adrianna, Mia Hayashi blind tagged herself in as Adrianna was run off of the ropes and springboarded back into the ring, hitting Dona with a Missile Dropkick. Adrianna recomposed herself as Mia hastily picked Dona up onto her shoulders. Eddy Poe hurried into the ring and ran to save Dona but got hit from the side by a Spear from Adrianna as Mia drilled Dona down with Supreme Thunder and held the leg for the 1...2...3

[Second Round Match #3. Wyld Stallion & Mary Kennedy v. Max LeBrun/Candi Broduer]
Wyld Stallion & Mary Kennedy met against the team often dubbed Team Canada O.G’s in Max LeBrun & Candi Broduer. Throughout the match, Mary Kennedy showed that while she hadn’t been competing on television for several weeks, she had definitely been training hard and practicing with Wyld Stallion as another coach of hers to help her master her springboard maneuvers. Mary always said she wanted to do more flippy shiz. She did just that here, as she used her speed and growing experience to maintain an advantage over Candi Broduer’s technical wrestling. Once Max LeBrun entered the match, however, he brought his own speed and agility into the match to mix with his own brutal strikes. As anyone could have guessed, Kennedy could have learned a thing or two about the aerial game from LeBrun. Wyld Stallion seemed to be doing just fine once he tagged himself in and the match picked up the pace immensely as the two native born Canadians flew around the ring and ringside, back and forth, dishing out their top moves against one another. Springboards. Handsprings. Slingshots. Moonsaults. Shooting Star dives.
Even as the ones considered the rookies in the match, Stallion and Kennedy helped bring the fans to their feet against the relatively young NFW veterans. Max LeBrun scored the victory for he and Candi Broduer, however as - while Candi and Mary were brawling outside of the ring, Max managed to catch Wyld Stallion with the Slapshot before delivering the Aneurysm and going for the cover as Candi held Mary back from breaking it up. 1...2...3!

In another match where Morgan Payne showed adversity to stepping into the ring against someone close - in this case, it being Marissa Payne - Morgan and Sativa repeated their strategy from the first round with Sativa tagging in anytime Marissa entered the ring. The difference here was that Marissa obliged the decision to keep her and Morgan out of the ring at the same time. Hinted friendship aside, Sativa and Marissa went absolutely HAM on each other, exchanging kicks and takedowns between one another while Sativa also showed off her aerial arsenal against the newly crowned leader of the House of Payne.

Another highly hoped for matchup took place here as Adrianna Salvatore & Mia Hayashi took on Big Daddy Payne & LeeAnn Viskan. Of course, most people were aware that LeeAnn Viskan was one of Adrianna Salvatore’s trainers. More specifically, she was the one who taught her everything she knew about submission wrestling. So some might have thought it a little insane when Adrianna shot for LeeAnn’s legs at the bell and went to bring the match to the mat, going to a leg submission. Others in the audience immediately became fully engaged in the match as student and teacher rolled across the mat. LeeAnn slipped right out of it and went for an Indian Deathlock which Adrianna managed to avoid and attempted to catch her in a Sleeper Hold. LeeAnn pried Adrianna’s arms off before she got it fully locked in and flipped around, cinching in a Triangle Hold that Adrianna could only break by lifting her mentor up and powerbombing her to the mat. The fans popped. BDP called out encouragement to his wife from their corner while Mia got a clap chant going for her girlfriend.
As the minutes passed, however, LeeAnn proved she was still the submission master as she managed to start catching Adrianna in multiple holds and maneuvers, stretching and torquing her limbs to make use of her student’s power based moves difficult if not impossible. Only during an Octopus Stretch did Adrianna managed to get out by simply throwing herself back and landing on top of LeeAnn before crawling over and tagging in Mia to come in fresh and start working on LeeAnn with her own offense. Mia used her speed and agility to chip away at LeeAnn throughout the match but as soon as BDP entered the match, Adrianna insisted on calling Mia over to tag her back in. Damned if she was gonna watch her Mouse get broken in half. By a man three times her size.
Adrianna and BDP’s time in the ring put on one hell of a spectacle as Adrianna proved she could take what her surrogate Uncle dished out at full force. Even if it left her rocked, she refused to let him ease up on her, as if he even would anyway. After a hellacious 20+ minutes, however, as BDP and Adrianna ended up meeting again outside the ring, Mia Hayashi and LeeAnn Viskan continued to go to war as the legal competitors in the ring until Mia managed to deliver the Supreme Thunder for the 1...2...3!

Max and Sativa put their highflying to the test against one another, nearly terrifying the audience with the caliber of their aerial attacks back and forth. This included Max deciding to pull out a ladder, despite the referee advising against it and, as he climbed to the top in preparation for what was probably going to be a Devil In The Sky to the inside of the ring on Morgan, Sativa scrambled up the ladder behind him and hit a reverse hurricanrana on the Toronto Daredevil, bringing them both down and through the main announce table.
Candi saved the match from a countout by physically dragging Max to his feet and throwing him back inside where Morgan had recovered and took advantage of his downed state to dish out some more damage to him. As she lifted him up for the Downtown After Dark, however, Max managed to wriggle enough that Morgan lost her balance and stumble over towards Max and Candi’s corner where Candi reached out and tagged herself in off of Max’s foot. Hopping up onto the turnbuckle, Candi waited as Max slipped out of the setup and landed on his feet. As Morgan turned around, Max caught her the Slapshot, knocking her flat onto the mat before slipping out of the ring as Candi came off of the top turnbuckle for a diving headbutt courtesy of her original mentor, hooking the leg for the cover on Morgan Payne. 1...2...3!

[Final Round! Max LeBrun & Candi Broduer v. Mia Hayashi v. Adrianna Salvatore]
Max LeBrun and Candi Broduer were given time to return to the backstage to catch a breather and recuperate while an advertisement for the All Access pass was run as well as a promotional ad for Motor City Mayhem, coming in Detroit, Michigan next month. Adrianna Salvatore and Mia Hayashi entered first, followed soon after by Max LeBrun & Candi Broduer after their break. This wasn’t to say that Adrianna and Mia weren’t exhausted as well. This showed on both ends as the bell rang with Max and Adrianna circling the ring, like they were trying to just keep themselves standing. A quick fist bump between two friends and the match was on with a tieup, starting off with Max and Adrianna jarring for position before the back and forth exchange of striking started. Max certainly had his grapples and takedowns in his arsenal but this was where Adrianna excelled as she soon showed by maneuvering Max’s 220lbs around the ring like they were nothing and driving them into the mat. Max managed to avoid her attempts at grappling with his own discipline in honest martial arts. Something most people often forgot he was well versed in.
Adrianna had more of a tough time with Candi Broduer once she got tagged in and came at the former Women’s Champion with shoot takedowns and leg based submissions. The next several minutes of the match saw Candi transitioning from one submission to another every time Adrianna found a way to either get a rope break or try and slip out of a hold, until she was able get to her feet and yank her leg in while Candi had a hold of it, catching the woman in a belly to belly overhead suplex before collapsing to the mat and crawling over to Mia to tag her in.
Mia hit the ring red hot, taking Candi back down with a Throwback, face first into the mat, then ran up onto the ropes and came down, delivering a hurricanrana to Max LeBrun right off of the apron before springing back into the ring and coming at Candi with a Shining Wizard. Mia carried on for her team while Adrianna got a much needed rest and recuperation of her legs. Mia managed to hold her own against constant tag outs between Candi and Max until fatigue started getting to her and the Team Canada O.G’s began making a comeback, wearing down the Unwanted member. Just as things were looking worse for Mia, Adrianna grabbed the tag rope and tagged Mia in the back as she was whipped off the ropes and thrown with an armdrag and locked into the Crossface from Candi Broduer. Adrianna ran in and broke the hold up with a running senton. Adrianna picked Candi up onto her feet and started setting her up for the Ground Zero but Max LeBrun rushed in and delivered the Slapshot to the Queen of Anarchy, knocking her back against the ropes and dropping Candi to the mat. Immediately after, Mia Hayashi rushed over and hit a superkick to the side of Max’s face, sending him out through the ropes. As Candi Broduer got back to her feet, Mia delivered a second superkick to her as Adrianna Salvatore recovered off of the ropes. She grabbed Candi Broduer, setting her up again and this time, tossed her up, catching her to deliver the Ground Zero for the pinfall. 1...2...3!

“Anthem of The Unwanted” by New Year’s Day blasted through the arena as the audience erupted with cheers as Commissioner Steven Brody and General Manager Elizabeth Greene walked together down to the ring to personally present the titles to the first crowned champions. Exhausted but elated, Adrianna and Mia hugged tight and shared a deep kiss as the credits rolled for the event.
HANSON
“This day is gonna go down in NFW history for sure! Who will be the first tag team to step up and issue a challenge the champions? They went through four teams to come out on top! Three teams in one night! That’s what I call true chemistry between two hearts, right there!”
AUGUSTINO
“I bet they’re gonna have one hell of a celebration!”
HANSON
“Oh give me a break, Miranda will you?”
Max LeBrun and Candi Broduer were given time to return to the backstage to catch a breather and recuperate while an advertisement for the All Access pass was run as well as a promotional ad for Motor City Mayhem, coming in Detroit, Michigan next month. Adrianna Salvatore and Mia Hayashi entered first, followed soon after by Max LeBrun & Candi Broduer after their break. This wasn’t to say that Adrianna and Mia weren’t exhausted as well. This showed on both ends as the bell rang with Max and Adrianna circling the ring, like they were trying to just keep themselves standing. A quick fist bump between two friends and the match was on with a tieup, starting off with Max and Adrianna jarring for position before the back and forth exchange of striking started. Max certainly had his grapples and takedowns in his arsenal but this was where Adrianna excelled as she soon showed by maneuvering Max’s 220lbs around the ring like they were nothing and driving them into the mat. Max managed to avoid her attempts at grappling with his own discipline in honest martial arts. Something most people often forgot he was well versed in.
Adrianna had more of a tough time with Candi Broduer once she got tagged in and came at the former Women’s Champion with shoot takedowns and leg based submissions. The next several minutes of the match saw Candi transitioning from one submission to another every time Adrianna found a way to either get a rope break or try and slip out of a hold, until she was able get to her feet and yank her leg in while Candi had a hold of it, catching the woman in a belly to belly overhead suplex before collapsing to the mat and crawling over to Mia to tag her in.
Mia hit the ring red hot, taking Candi back down with a Throwback, face first into the mat, then ran up onto the ropes and came down, delivering a hurricanrana to Max LeBrun right off of the apron before springing back into the ring and coming at Candi with a Shining Wizard. Mia carried on for her team while Adrianna got a much needed rest and recuperation of her legs. Mia managed to hold her own against constant tag outs between Candi and Max until fatigue started getting to her and the Team Canada O.G’s began making a comeback, wearing down the Unwanted member. Just as things were looking worse for Mia, Adrianna grabbed the tag rope and tagged Mia in the back as she was whipped off the ropes and thrown with an armdrag and locked into the Crossface from Candi Broduer. Adrianna ran in and broke the hold up with a running senton. Adrianna picked Candi up onto her feet and started setting her up for the Ground Zero but Max LeBrun rushed in and delivered the Slapshot to the Queen of Anarchy, knocking her back against the ropes and dropping Candi to the mat. Immediately after, Mia Hayashi rushed over and hit a superkick to the side of Max’s face, sending him out through the ropes. As Candi Broduer got back to her feet, Mia delivered a second superkick to her as Adrianna Salvatore recovered off of the ropes. She grabbed Candi Broduer, setting her up again and this time, tossed her up, catching her to deliver the Ground Zero for the pinfall. 1...2...3!

“And it is over! We have our champions!”

“Here are your winners! Aaaaaaand the first Burning Hearts Champions! MIA...HAYASHI...AND...ADRIANNA...SALVATORE!!”

Miranda laughed humorously as the shot faded out on Mia and Adrianna, standing in the ring, hand in hand, holding the Burning Hearts titles overhead.
