RECORD UPDATED ON 10/13/2024
The NFW Alliance Championships are a result of a merging of the Tag Team and Trios Divisions.
There are a total of three belts for the division in the instance of a three person team holding the titles.
In the event that a tag team of two holds the championships, the third belt is kept with management until it is needed.
The titles were first crowned at Rise of Legends II on February 28th, 2024 in a match between Tag Team Champions, Thicc Attack
and Trios Champions, Legacies in a unification match, effectively merging the divisions and retiring the old championships.
With the Alliance Championships coming into fruition, the winners reign started anew, rather than the reign from their
previous championships being continued.
The rules for the division are as followed:
- The defending champions dictate the type of match for the defense.
(E.G: if a trio holds the titles, then the challengers must be a trio or a tag team with a third volunteer.)
- Alternatively, if a tag team holds the titles and a trio challenges for them, the trio must put forth only two of their members for the match.
- In the event a trio takes the titles off of a tag team, all three members of the trio are considered the new Alliance Champions.
- Freebird rules also apply.
- When wrestling for contendership for the titles, the contending teams must match the champions' team.
(E.G: If a tag team holds the titles, the contender match will be a tag team match.)
- Alternatively, if a trio holds the titles, then the contender match must be between sets of three,
either an established trios team or a tag team with a third volunteer.
- In the case of a third wrestler stepping up to assist a tag team in obtaining the titles and succeeding, the volunteer has a choice.
He or she may either continue to reign as part of the Alliance Champions with the tag team they assisted or, instead, they
may turn in their Alliance Championship belt to management in exchange for a singles title shot of their choosing.
