The show opens backstage with a shot of Ashe Corvin. He is in his wrestling attire and entrance coat. That typical arrogant Corvin smirk on his face. He rubs his hands together and nods.Ashe Corvin: I come out of retirement tonight for one simple reason. I have to put a whiny crybaby in his place. As my daughter likes to call him, Snow, believes that he deserves everything in the world. That he should be handed a shot at any title he wants. And for what reason?
He paused and raised an eyebrow.
Ashe Corvin: Because he says so. Self-entitlement to the utmost degree. He believes, wrongly, that every spotlight belongs to him. And he has been throwing a tantrum for too long because he hasn’t gotten it. Two weeks ago, he got another chance to be in that spotlight. And he lost it to Lana. A woman over a decade his junior. At the same time, taking a cheap shot at me. Then after the match, he attacked Lana. All because he didn’t win. He couldn’t do that one thing he claimed would be easy.
Another pause with a shake of his head.
Ashe Corvin: That’s when you make mistakes. You overlook an opponent from sheer arrogance. Had he not let emotions fuel him, he wouldn’t be in this position. Losing to two members of the same family in less than a month. He had to run his mouth. Some people just need the lesson the hard way. Tonight in the Main Event I will help him learn his lesson. I will beat it into his Cromagnon skull. I don’t mind doing it. Though I am a bit sad that I have to. He has besmirched what it means to be a champion. He had the taste of that glory. Yet he couldn’t make his reigns stand out. Always being second place, at best.
That brought a chuckle out of the veteran grappler.
Ashe Corvin: But it is what it is, right? Or it should be if that taste of the top didn’t make him the entitled bitch he has become. Guess he couldn’t handle the weight of it. Some can.
A pause to emphasize he means himself.
Ashe Corvin: It’s a fifty-fifty shot really. You either rise to the occasion and make your name go down in history or you crumple and fall from grace. I’ve seen it play out time and time again. It’s an old story that anyone who has been around would know. Those who crumble never realize it. They think they are the best to have ever done it. Well, newsflash Snow, you ain’t the best. There are FAR better than you. But, I know you will never realize that.
He paused once again. He then looked sternly into the camera.
Ashe Corvin: Tonight to realize that. Tonight you go up against one of the best to have ever done. You go up against the King of Darkness, the Crusader, the man that has set more records than you could ever hope to. Tonight you will see firsthand, and what those watching already know.
Once again that arrogant smirk appears.
Ashe Corvin: That I’m the greatest wrestler you’ve ever seen.
With those last words, Ashe gives a wink to the camera and walks out of frame.

Match #1/Event Horizon Second Round
Ayu Megumi vs. El Toro Violento
~DING DING DING~
The referee calls for the starting bell during El Toro Violento’s entrance as Ayu Megumi gets the jump on him, running off the ropes and soaring over the top with a Tope Plancha, taking the monster down to the floor. Leticia Calderon quickly gets out of the way as Megumi pops up to her feet, responding to the pop from the crowd. As Toro starts getting up, Megumi starts dishing out the backhanded chops to Toro’s broad chest. Calderon shouts for her monster to fight back and when Megumi goes for an Irish Whip, he counters with his immense power and sends her towards the guardrail instead BUT WAIT! MEGUMI FALLS PRONE AND SLIDES UNDERNEATH THE BARRICADE! Toro pauses, taken aback by this just before Megumi pops up from behind the guardrail and springs back off of it, catching him on the shoulders with a whipping Hurricanrana to take him back to the floor.
Seth Ernst: And Ayu Megumi is on FIRE, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!!
Lucas Knox: She knows she’s gotta turn it up to 11 against an opponent like El Toro Violento!
Miranda Augustino: She better not gas herself out!
As this is being said, Megumi goes right for the arsenal under the ring, pulling out a steel chair and starts going right to work with it. A shot across Toro’s back sends him stumbling around the ring and Megumi’s not letting up! She gives chase to keep after him, whacking him over and over with the weapon until after about the third shot, she climbs up onto the apron and waits for him to straighten himself again. Toro turns around to find his opponent again and The Amazing Girl runs, jumps and comes down with an overhead swing of the chair right across the crown of The Big Bull’s skull!! Toro staggers back and falls on his ass at ringside. Megumi throws the chair aside, measures up her shot and runs in with a big Meteora, catching him by the legs for a legal cover right on the floor!

Toro gets a shoulder up as he wraps his arms around Megumi’s legs and pushes himself forward. Megumi loses her grip on his legs and now Toro finds his knees, then his feet as he just muscles her up onto his shoulders. With a bellowing roar, fueled by anger from Megumi’s initial assault, Toro just yeets her, Powerbombing her against the edge of the ring apron! Megumi pings off of the ring and hits the floor, crying out in pain. The monster finally gets a breather as Megumi writhes on the floor but as soon as she gets up to her feet, Toro charges in and levels her with “In A China Shop” (Pumping Bomber Lariat) that knocks her inside out and back down to the floor. Megumi rolls over onto her back and Toro just plants his foot on her chest, raising his fists as the official drops down for the count.

Megumi gets a shoulder up and Toro snarls, reaching down to grab her by the hair. He picks her up and throws her into the ring, taking this fight inside the squared circle for the first time since it started. Toro climbs in after her and picks her up to her feet, looking to put an end to it with “Muerte del Matador” (Last of the Dragon) but as he lifts her up, Megumi slips free and catches him around the head, driving him down with a DDT! Toro hits the mat and Megumi rolls back up to her feet. She charges in as Toro comes up onto his knees and nails him with “Fatality” (Running Bicycle Knee Strike)! Toro falls back. Megumi pounces on his chest and reaches forward to lift his leg!

Toro gets a shoulder up as he grabs Megumi in his arms and uses his strength to sit back up! Megumi realizes her predicament and the look on her face shows as Toro powers up onto his feet and launches her overhead with a Release German Suplex! Megumi hits the mat and bounces off the mat, rolling up to stand against the corner. As she tries to recollect herself, Toro’s up on his feet and he comes charging in to deliver a brutal European Uppercut. Megumi’s feet leave the ring before coming back down and Toro just starts laying into her midsection with lefts and rights, followed by repeated shoulder blocks, driving her against the turnbuckle. He picks her up and sits her on the top of the ringpost, climbing up to go for a Superplex but Megumi starts fighting back with punches to the gut and elbow strikes on top of his head, eventually knocking the Bull back to the mat on his feet. She quickly fixes her position on the turnbuckle and goes for “Leap” (Diving Moonsault) but again Toro catches her in his arms and uses her momentum, swinging her back one way, halts the momentum and swings her back around, his feet leaving the ring and crushing her underneath him with a Scoop Powerslam and a cover!

Megumi fires the shoulder up to stay alive in this match! Toro snarls in frustration and calls for Calderon to start throwing in more weapons. The Shieldmaiden slides in a chair then starts pulling out a table. As she starts setting it up, Toro picks up the chair and raises it to hit Megumi but she catches him with a kick to the gut, then a forearm to the face, then a spinning thrust kick to the midsection. She hits the ropes and comes off, dropkicking the chair back into Toro’s face and the Violent Bull goes staggering back, tumbling through the ropes where he lands on top of the table Calderon has just set up. It creaks under the impact but stays steady and Megumi comes running in for a Suicide Dive but Toro catches her around the head! Her feet are hung up on the ropes and Toro DRILLS HER INTO THE TABLE WITH A ROPE HUNG DDT! IT IMPLODES UNDER THE IMPACT AS THEY GO CRASHING BACK DOWN TO THE RINGSIDE FLOOR!!
Crowd: HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT!
The crowd goes nuts as both competitors lay out on the floor, slowly fighting to get up to their feet. Toro makes it up first and pulls Megumi up by her hair, looking for a chokeslam but as he lifts her, she slips free of his grasp and lands behind him. He whirls around right into “Ryo No Ikari” (Superkick) from Megumi! Toro stumbles! Another Superkick by Megumi! Toro grabs onto the apron to keep himself vertical! Another Superkick by Megumi! Toro loses his grip on the apron and staggers back some more! Megumi measure up her shot and comes charging in! “ETHEREAL BLADE” (CLAYMORE KICK) TO THE VIOLENT BULL!!! TORO’S DOWN!!!! MEGUMI COVERS!!!

Toro just barely fires up a shoulder and shoves Megumi off of him! Megumi can’t believe it as she covers her mouth with her hands but Toro’s slow to even start to attempt getting up! She looks up to the top turnbuckle and her expression hardens as she looks down at her opponent. What’s she thinking now?! Megumi pushes up to her feet and climbs onto the apron and slowly starts scaling to the top turnbuckle! As she does, Toro’s fighting to get to his feet. He turns to look up just as Megumi comes off the turnbuckle, down towards him on the floor with “Leap” (Diving Moonsault) BUT TORO NAILS HER OUT OF THE AIR WITH ANOTHER EUROPEAN UPPERCUT!!
Lucas Knox: OH MY GOD!!! DID YOU SEE THAT?!
Miranda Augustino: DIOS MIO, CABRON!!!
Seth Ernst: A SICK SHOT TOOK THE WHITE KITSUNE RIGHT OUT OF THE AIR!!!
Toro pounds his chest with a fist, roaring in pure rage. Megumi tries to blink the stars away as she starts grabbing for something to help her pull herself up. She finds the barricade and Toro snarls under his mask before slowly turning his back to her and starts running in the opposite direction. As Megumi continues to rise, he rounds the corner of the ring and keeps going, building up speed.
Seth Ernst: Toro’s got something in mind here, folks. What’s…?
Lucas Knox: What the hell is he doing?!
Miranda Augustino: Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!
Toro rounds another corner, then the other, now finally coming right at Megumi with a full head of steam! Megumi’s up on her feet now as she turns around, right on time as Toro comes BARRELING INTO HER WITH A SHOULDER BLOCK THAT HITS HER SO HARD SHE LEAVES THE FLOOR AND GOES FLYING ONTO THE COMMENTARY TABLE!!!! Seth, Lucas and Miranda jump to their feet and back away as much as they can!!
Miranda Augustino: OH SHIT!!!!
Lucas Knox: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!
Calderon hollers and applauds her monster before calling for him to finish it. Toro climbs up onto the table, snarling down at the commentary team who start to protest whatever he’s about to do. He pulls Megumi up to her feet and sets her up again, once more, for “Muerte del Matador” (Last of the Dragon) RIGHT DOWN THROUGH THE COMMENTARY TABLE!!! Both Megumi and Toro collapse in a heap down onto the floor as the table gives away underneath them, but he rolls over to put an arm over her for the cover!!

We cut backstage as we see New Frontier Wrestling Champion, Stacy Jones with her championship over her shoulder making her way down the corridor towards the gorilla position when she is approached by backstage interviewer, Dominique Ciotti.Dominique Ciotti: Excuse me, Stacy? You’re about to head out to be at ringside for the next match, correct?
Stacy Jones: Yes. I am. You see, Dominique… I take my role as New Frontier Wrestling Champion VERY seriously. And what could very easily be my first defense of this beautiful new championship that I’m proudly wearing over my shoulder right now? Is the Guardians of the Pyramid match.
Jones glances down at her championship briefly before looking back up at Ciotti.
Stacy Jones: There’s a chance I could end up having to go through all seven wrestlers who qualify for the Guardians of the Pyramid match, Dominique. Essentially that means I could very well end up having seven defenses in just one night. And while some in my current position would probably cry foul over this possibility… say that it’s unfair and that I should be the final one to beat in the end so I only have to have one match? I EMBRACE the possibility that I could have to defend this championship seven times in one night. When you’re at the top? You have the biggest target on your back and the only way to go is down.
The Unbreakable One adjusts the title over her shoulder slightly.
Stacy Jones: So last week, Alexandra Calaway was the second person to qualify for the Guardians of the Pyramid match, after myself of course, after a hard fought battle with the physically imposing Atlas. I’m no stranger to Alexandra, we’ve faced off before and she’s a damn fine competitor who is definitely capable of becoming New Frontier Wrestling Champion.
The interviewer nods.
Stacy Jones: And coming up in a matter of mere moments? Two women with an extensive list of accomplishments under them, two women with major championship pedigree in Crystal Caldwell and Zara Ivory are going to battle one another to see who qualifies next. I’m going to go out there and watch up close and personal because I’m going to need to study my potential opponents as much as I possibly can, but not only that… but much like with the match between Atlas and Alexandra Calaway… I want those who qualify to do it properly. No shortcuts. No underhanded tactics. I want them to prove to me without a shadow of a doubt that they deserve to be challenging for the New Frontier Wrestling Championship. Of course, when I say that, I’m not saying that I’m going to get involved if anyone involved in tonight’s qualifying matches or any future ones attempt any shortcuts or underhanded tactics. I’m going to watch it play out, but I’ll be hoping that everyone who qualifies does so properly.
Dominique Ciotti: And then of course, later on tonight we have another qualifier that will see Bethany Kenyon go up against Kazuhiko Saitama.
Jones nods.
Stacy Jones: Yes. My good friend Bethany Kenyon, going up against a rising star in Kazuhiko Saitama. I will also be present for that match too… because these matches are very important to me and as New Frontier Wrestling Champion, I should be fully invested in anything to do with this title.
The New Frontier Wrestling Champion shrugs.
Stacy Jones: So yeah, despite the fact that I am now the New Frontier Wrestling Champion, my mindset remains the same. Always the first to arrive… and always the last to leave. Keeping my attention on everything that’s going on, especially when it pertains to something involving the NFW Championship. I promised the fans that I would bring honor, prestige and respect back to this championship and that will never change. I am the current face of this brand… this is my house and I want everyone who steps up to try and take this from me to know how important being in this position means to me.
The Unbreakable One now turns her attention to the camera.
Stacy Jones: So Crystal? Zara? Bethany? Kazuhiko? I wish all of you the best of luck tonight and I shall look forward to watching your respective matches. Now if you’ll excuse me, Dominique… duty calls.
Jones then pats Ciotti on the back and gives her a little nod before disappearing off camera as we cut elsewhere.

Match #2/Guardians Qualifier
Crystal Caldwell vs. Zara Ivory
~DING DING DING~
Zara and Crystal began to circle each other as soon as the referee sounded for the bell to ring. Both women knew how important it was to be a part of the Guardians of the Pyramid match, and both were hungry to win the match from the get-go. The pair locked up in a power struggle, and it seemed like Zara was going to gain the upper hand from early on with setting up for a DDT, though Crystal was quick enough to use her slightly smaller stature to slide out of the move. Crystal smirked at Zara who only returned the smirk, much to the irritation of Caldwell. Ivory and Caldwell circled each other again, Crystal seemingly a little more cautious after almost getting caught by the other woman. Rolling her eyes at the cautiousness that Caldwell was showing, Ivory charged the woman, looking for Team of Misfits! Caldwell scouted the spear at the last second and swiftly leapt over Zara as if they were playing some kind of game of leap frog! Zara’s momentum almost carried her out of the ring, but the woman was able to stop herself at the last second, a glare being sent in Caldwell’s direction as she turned around. It was clear that she was getting frustrated with the cat and mouse game that they had begun, whether it was done purposely on either end or not. Zara didn’t give Crystal a chance to really get a move in before she was charging her again, taking her down with a Lou Thesz Press, slamming the other woman’s head against the mat a few times for extra measure.
Crystal struggled against her before Ivory finally got up, stomping on the other woman’s abdomen for a little extra oomph from the irritation. Zara began moving around Crystal in order to grab her and get her back to her feet, but the other woman was quick to hit her with a legsweep from nowhere, knocking Ivory off balance and to the mat. Caldwell kipped up, getting back to her feet of her own accord and looked over at Ivory for only a moment. She quickly ran towards the ropes, using them to launch herself off and into a springboard hurricarana, sending the other woman crashing back down to the mat again. Now that she had a little momentum going, it seemed like Crystal was in her zone, once again launching herself off of the ropes and into a springboard moonsault. Ivory tried getting her knees in the way before the impact from the moonsault happened, but she had made the attempt just a little too late, causing her to catch all of the move’s impact. Crystal went to get Zara up, but she was quickly grabbed into a small package pin attempt.

Crystal managed to kick out of the small package at one and a half! There was a flustered look on her face for a brief moment while Zara held a smirk on her own though she was breathing somewhat heavy from the pace of the match. She motioned for Caldwell to bring it on which only seemed to irk the woman across the ring from her. Crystal charged at Zara, but she was met with a spur of the moment standing dropkick, sending her stumbling back then down to the mat on her ass. Ivory didn’t stop there and nailed the other woman with Your Own Hell, a satisfied look finally crossing her face as she built some momentum up herself. With Caldwell down, Ivory climbed the ropes to Violence Causes Silence, but she wasn’t quick enough! Crystal managed to roll out of the way, causing Zara to crash and burn on the mat! Caldwell swiftly got to her feet, trying not to give Ivory time to recover from the missed moved by getting the woman pulled up to her feet only to nail her with Flashing Lights! Before Ivory could even hit the mat, Caldwell was climbing the ropes only to immediately leap off, executing a beautiful Rose Prism Power only to quickly pin Zara.

The scene opens with Your Hero, and Mine, standing in front of a Trauma logo'd back drop. He's bouncing on the balls of his feet, eagerly waiting for his match and preparing himself. He isn't in the company of his stablemates or his manager Gregory Murphy, no, Your Hero, and Mine, is alone, totally concentrated on the task in hand as the camera pans around him.Mark Storm: "It's championship season, baby. The Heroes for Hire have been saying it since we returned to the wrestle landscape, and we've been raking up the rewards. Now, it's time for Your Hero, and Mine, to take that step to the next level. Every promotion we're in, we're killing it on all fronts and as the leader, I've gotta take some responsibility for that, admittedly.
During my tenure here, I've already proven that I am one of the best on Trauma, and have been undefeated upon my return. It's all led to this moment right here, an opportunity at the NFW Genesis Championship."
He pauses, running his fingers through his blonde hair as he allowed his signature smirk to plaster over his lips.
Mark Storm: "I've been itching for singles gold from the moment I got here and now that this moment is here, I'm not letting it slip away from me. Nakita Niles has been an honorable champion. She's held that title with honor, respect and dignity and make no mistake about it, she's destined to have a great career. But not whilst I'm here, Nakita."
He shakes his head sideways, disapprovingly.
Mark Storm: No, only one of us can prevail - only one of us can be at the top of the mountaintop, and I refuse, to let it be you. I came back to prove that I am still the best and beating one of the best on Trauma, only solidifiesthat claim.
Whilst I'm around, I'm the one who has to be the standard bearer, I'm the one who has to be the benchmark. It's already decided. I've walked this road many times before Nakita, held championship gold in near enough every promotion I've stepped foot in.
Being a champion is something I was born to be and it's about time that it happens here, in New Frontier Wrestling. I know you've only recently just won that title but all good things have gotta come to an end, Nakita. Your reign as champion, is coming to an inevitable end and it's Your Hero, and Mine, who's going to end it all. "
The scene gradually fades to black.

Match #4/Event Horizon Second Round
Alexandra Calaway vs. Myriad
Seth Ernst: “Now this next match is going to be brutal, possibly the standard bearers for brutality with these two participants.”
The lights go down and "Mine" by Halestorm starts to play. The arena is filled with Red and lights and fog. The Silhouette of Alexandra can be seen at the top of the ramp. She poses on the top of the ramp and as the beat drops, she starts to make her way down the ramp, towards the ring. Stopping halfway down the ramp, she stops looking out over the crowd, before continuing on. She smirks seeing some of the signs people made, a cocky smirk crosses her face.
Miranda Augustino: "From DALLAS, TX.. ALEXANDRA CALAWAY!!!!!"
Finishing her walk down the ramp, she climbs onto the ring apron and up onto the turnbuckle. She slips into the ring and poses on the ropes, leaning forward on the ropes, sometimes talking shit with people in the front row. She watches up the ramp, messing with her hair as she waits for her opponent.
The top of the stage erupts into flame and the sound of chains being cranked can be heard as an eerie theme song plays over the tron. (Christopher Young - More Sinister Than Popcorn) The cranking continues as a large figure rises through the stage, his face covered by sticky crimson red stained bandages and his wrestling attire covers his chest and legs and is all dirty and stained, ripped in places from past encounters, he is not bound by the chains and manacles this time though. He starts to walk slowly down the ramp and Madoka Kawada bails from the ring with no introduction.
Lucas Knox: “Wait, the bag he is carrying over his shoulder is much much larger than last time!”
Miranda Augustino: “Doesn’t look like he is bringing toy blocks this week, I cannot wait to see what he is bringing this week!”
Seth Ernst: “They also had quite the war of words on social media and these two are not afraid to maim!”
~DING DING DING~
The match begins with an intense stare down, Myriad towering over Calaway.
Calaway then rolls out of the ring and pulls a bag of her own out from under the ring, smiling as she rolls back in and opens it, pouring the contents all over the ring canvas.
Seth Ernst: “Broken glass? Business is picking up early in this one!!”
Miranda Augustino: “I don’t think Myriad gives a flying fu..”
Lucas Knox: “...Well if anyone is going to test or beat Myriad, it will be Calaway.”
Calaway begins to use her movement advantage, ducking Myriad’s attempts to engage, kicks to the knee, legs etc as she struts away, Myriad’s barrel chest and shoulders moves rapidly, revealing his anger, this time Calaway steps to close and Myriad grasps her around the throat and clenches tightly, catching Calaway off guard, who tries to break the grip, time passes and she falls to a knee and picks up a piece of the glass and jabs it hard into the hand of Myriad, forcing him to release the grip. Calaway catches her breath.
Miranda Augustino: “Myriad is a badass! He is literally just staring at the glass shard sticking out of his hand!”
Lucas Knox: “Calaway has to out manoeuvre him, she cannot absorb too much of his power.”
Myriad slowly removes the glass from his hand and blood pours from the wound.
Myriad turns around to face Calaway, who took the opportunity to slide out and acquire a steel chair when he wasn't looking. She blasts him in the left leg, and again and again, as Myriad falls to a knee. She blasts him in the back, again, again and again before nailing Myriad in the head for good measure who falls onto his back.
Seth Ernst: “So many chair shots, maybe she wants to live up to the promise of beating her current record of 23 chair shots in a match and she's well on her way to fulfilling that.”
Miranda Augustino: “Don't count Myriad out yet. He was smart enough to miss the glass pile.”
Lucas Knox: “Or very lucky…”
Myriad slowly sits up, Calaway shouts and yells at him with a few choice words and Myriad gets to his knees, he looks up at Calaway, he has a strange look in his eye, almost a ‘Finish me’ appeal. Calaway goes to swing again and Myriad jumps to his feet in one movement and gorilla presses her high into the air and slams Calaway hard down onto the shards of glass. Calaway cries out in pain as Myriad screams out in rage and staggers around somewhat feeling the effects of so many chair shots. Myriad then walks over to the prone Calaway and places his boot onto the side of her head and starts grinding her face into the glass. He continues doing this until Calaway follows tradition from all of Myriad’s matches and kicks him in the crotch.
Seth Ernst: “Myriad is a monster but people know that anyone can be dropped with testicle trauma.”
Miranda Augustino: “Yeah and every time all they do is piss him off.”
Lucas Knox: “He is feeling it much more this time, possibly due to chair shots taking its toll!”
Myriad drops again to one knee, and holds onto the second rope. Calaway gets up, blood leaking from her face wounds and she runs and hits a vicious V Trigger. Myriad is hanging over the second rope, half in and half out the ring. Calaway gets out onto the apron, underhooks the arms of Myriad…
Seth Ernst: “Bow To The Queen! All the way to the floor!!”
Lucas Knox: “She may have him here, could it be? A first loss for Myriad???”
Miranda Augustino: “Even I have to admit that would beat a normal person but Myriad is not normal is he?!”
Calaway is also feeling the effects of the move as her pelvis took the blunt of the fall. Myriad has not moved yet and Calaway calls for the referee to check if he is done, looking for the KO. The referee goes over to Myriad, tapping his arm, he gets down to check the condition of Myriad, wanting a response. He gets one as Myriad shoves him away. Calaway curses, and gets up gingerly and goes and gets her chair, also grabbing a crowbar from under the ring and she begins to use the pointed end and stands through the seat of the chair in multiple places. Creating several holes. She then grabs a set of pliers from a toolbox under the ring and begins bending the metal around the holes to form sharp spikes and shards on the seat of the chair.
Seth Ernst: “Calaway digging into her box of tricks, that chair just became even more dangerous.”
Calaway staggers around making her way back to Myriad. Myriad is on his knees, his back is arched though and his head is on the floor, his arms wailing somewhat, trying to get back up but his head looks like it's too heavy to stand, suffering the effects of such a vicious move. Calaway slams the new form of the chair into the back of Myriad, gripping and tearing at his attire and his flesh. She does it again, many times, Myriad somehow gets to his feet and there is not much left of his top and he tears it off, the new wounds pouring blood to accompany the many scars that adorn his body, including the names of fallen victims. He staggers further up the ramp with each blow.
Lucas Knox: “That is 20 chair shots in this match so far. She said she was going for a minimum of 24!”
Chairshot 21, 22 and 23 get Myriad to the top of the ramp. He falls to his knees, blood in full flow, holding onto one of the large poles that has the chains attached to them from his entrance. Calaway grabs him by the chin, stares him in the face, taunts him and goes to swing the record breaking chair shot to the face but Myriad…
Seth Ernst: “Bloody Mary! Calaway is blinded!”
Miranda Augustino: “Myriad turning the tide!”
Calaway staggers around, blindly swinging her chair. She suddenly feels something cold clamp around her wrist. The chair is snatched from her grasp. Then her other wrist feels the same.
Lucas Knox: “Myriad has just manacled Calaway to the Two posts from his entrance. Calaway has nowhere to go!!”
Miranda Augustino: “A master stroke! He had this planned all along!”
Calaway swears obscenities at Myriad, unaware of where he is, as Myriad has ventured back down to ringside and stares at the bad he brung down at the start of the match.
Miranda Augustino: “Is it just me or is that bag, moving….and buzzing?”
Myriad picks up the bag and walks slowly up the ramp. He gets quite close to the trapped Calaway. Her eyes have begun to clear and she looks at Myriad with rage. Myriad looks back with a cold dead look. He reaches into the bad and pulls out….
Miranda Augustino: “Is that….a Wasp nest??”
Lucas Knox: “What the hell is going on…..”
Myriad throws the nest down onto the ramp and it breaks, releasing the swarm from within and they swarm around Myriad, stinging and attacking. Myriad shakes and twitches occasionally, Calaway looks on in horror.
Seth Ernst: “Jesus wept! There looks to be hundreds of them on Myriad.”
Miranda Augustino: “ Well his representation did claim he was the pestilence of NFW, this is his version instead of flies I Guess! I love it!”
Myriad moves closer and walks around the back of the helpless Calaway. He reaches around from behind her and grips her face, opening her mouth and he grabs some of the stabbing stinging wasps, bees, or whatever they are and forces them into her mouth, before applying a sleeper hold, closing her mouth.
Seth Ernst: “This is barbaric! Look! Her face is swelling!!”
Miranda Augustino: “If she has an allergy she is in big trouble!! I know his handler said if she failed she would lose by asphyxiation but this is a new level.”
Lucas Knox: “EMT’s if you can hear me, you best have EPI pens on stand by!! This has gone way too far!”
Myriad releases the hold and backs away, imitating Christ on the cross with his stance as the flying insects making their presence felt, Calaway has slumped down but the chains hold her arms up. The referee checks on her as best as he can and she is unresponsive and calls for the bell.
~DING DING DING~
Miranda Augustino: Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has stopped this match! Therefore, your winner by knockout, advancing to the Quarterfinals…MYRIAD!
EMT’s rush out and other staff with heavy duty cutters, and tend to Calaway as best as possible while suffering the onslaught of the insects, they open her mouth and several of them fly out.
Myriad stares and doesn't move. The crowd are shocked and traumatized.
Lucas Knox: “Cut to Commercial for god sake…..”
Winner: Myriad

Main Event/Unsanctioned Chicago Street Fight
Ashe Corvin vs. Damon Cross
Cameras are on the stage as the final match of the night is about to begin, with commentary already pontificating about the nature of the bout…
Seth Ernst: And now, folks, it’s time for our main event… a match I didn’t think we’d see for several reasons.
Miranda Augustino: It’s happening because some people are sore losers and don’t know how to keep business to business and personal to personal, Seth. That’s all there is to it. But at least we get to see Ashe Corvin go round one more time!
Lucas Knox: You can’t just sit there and ignore how Corvin instigated this, Miranda.
Miranda Augustino: By supporting his daughter and calling Damon Cross out on his bullshit?!
Lucas Knox: Whether you like the man or not, Lana and Ashe took personal shots at Damon’s family. Find me a red-blooded man worth his salt that would let that slide. Especially in this business.
Seth Ernst: As much as I’m not a fan of how Cross has been carrying himself of late, Lucas has a point.
Miranda Augustino: If you want to take his side, go right ahead. But I’m backing the King of Darkness!
Lucas Knox: And that’s cool. Just don’t act like he’s some hero.
Most of the fans in the arena start to cheer, and a few boo as the arena lights fade out. The lights then raise to a dark purple color and a song fills the air. It is "Breathe" by The Prodigy.
Madoka Kawada: The following match is your main event for the evening and it is an Unsanctioned Street Fight set for one fall! Introducing first…
Ashe Corvin walks out from the back. He is wearing a black cloak. Clips of Ashe’s old matches and his interviews play on the video screen as he slowly walks to the ring. He climbs the ring steps and stands on the apron facing the crowd.
Madoka Kawada: -from the City of Angels, weighing in at 245 pounds… the King of Darkness… ASHE CORVIN!
Ashe Corvin throws his hands out to the side and the crowd’s cheers can now be heard over the music. He enters the ring and goes to each corner and taunts. Ashe Corvin goes into the center of the ring and holds his hands above his head as the ring posts erupt into flames as the final words of the song are sung. The crowd continues to cheer as the song ends.
Miranda Augustino: There’s a sight to behold! Someone tell half these idiots to show some respect to a legend!
Lucas Knox: Good luck with that.
Seth Ernst: Ashe is in tremendous shape tonight, which is a good thing given the nature of this match.
Lucas Knox: No limits, no responsibility… hell, the only thing the referee is here for is to count the pin.
Miranda Augustino: Good! Ashe doesn’t need rules to deal with Cross!
Madoka Kawada: And introducing his opponent!
Except… there’s no music. No fancy lighting, no entrance video… just a black background as Damon Cross emerges onto the stage. The Unforgiven isn’t even in ring gear, instead wearing blue jeans, black boots and a white buttoned shirt. He takes a microphone from his back pocket as the crowd foregos boos and instead lapses into murmurs of curiosity. Ashe, looking on from the ring, smirks and gestures at Damon, clearly talking trash that, perhaps thankfully, the cameras at ringside don’t pick up on.
Damon Cross: For those of you expecting to see Damon Cross tonight, I’m not sorry to disappoint you, but he isn’t here.
Now there’s straight-up confusion. Even Ashe looks put off by whatever this is supposed to be as Damon pauses his address to unbutton his sleeves, then the front of the shirt.
Lucas Knox: I’m a little confused, too. What’s this all about?
Seth Ernst: I got nothin’. Miranda?
Miranda Augustino: A weak attempt to play mind games. Nothing more.
Sleeves rolled up and his shirt opened, revealing a basic tank top beneath, Damon brought up the stick again.
Damon Cross: You made this about something beyond wrestling, Ashe. Your comments and those of your daughter made this personal on a whole other level. Even someone like me knows that there’s depths you don’t sink to. People can hate and vilify me all they want, but they know that I’m right.
Reaching the ring, Damon ascends the steps and enters the ring, never taking his eyes off Ashe.
Damon Cross: This isn’t Damon Cross standing in the ring before you, Ashe. It isn’t the multiple-time World Champion, the God of Ascension, the Black Ronin or even the Unforgiven. No…
A deep breath is taken, then…
Damon Alexander Debaillion: ...this is Damon Alexander Debaillion. Nothing special, nothing fancy. Just a man. A man whose family has been insulted and threatened by a self-righteous old bastard begging for one last moment of glory before the end comes. And by the time tonight is over, Ashe?
He gets right in Corvin’s face, microphone turned sideways, a fierce glare in Damon’s eyes.
Damon Alexander Debaillion: You’re gonna wish I WAS Damon Cross!
Ashe ponders this for a moment, then laughs his ass off, right in Damon’s face. Then like lightning he slaps the microphone away and pie-faces Damon, who takes a step back as a result, angrily flipping his unbound black hair over his shoulder. The referee gets in between them, trying to keep things from getting out of hand before the bell even rings. Rather than lashing out in response, Damon slowly backs into his corner while Ashe taunts and seethes in equal measure, feeling that he is being made a fool of. Once the two are distant, the referee calls for the bell-
DING! DING! DING!
-and Ashe immediately lunges at Damon, shoving him into the buckles and unloading fists and forearms and chops, laying in a harsh barrage of impacts on Damon as he covers up from most of them, as one might expect. Ashe grabs Damon by the ear and gives him a rough headbutt before shoving him into the buckles again and snatching Damon up and over with a snap powerslam, though he pulls Damon up by the hair before a pin attempt can be counted. He whips Damon into the ropes and drives his shoulder into that of his opponent, though surprisingly Damon only staggers back into the ropes, not falling despite Ashe’s size advantage. Ashe hits the ropes himself and clotheslines Damon over the top rope, but Damon lands on his feet on the outside. Instead of charging back into the ring, though, he just stares at Ashe from outside the ring, radiating defiance.
Seth Ernst: Ashe starting off with a violent barrage of attacks and Damon is just… taking it? I don’t get it.
Miranda Augustino: He’s up to something. I just know it.
Ashe demands that Damon get into the ring again and fight but Damon just stares at him. It feels a bit like the bout with Lana at Manifest Destiny, with Damon taking all that the United States Champion dished out and striking back at his leisure, except Damon has yet to do that. It gets under Ashe’s skin and soon he leaves the ring as well, getting in Damon’s face and shoving him again. Deciding to take things to a different level, Ashe sticks his jaw out and dares Damon to take a shot! He even holds his arms behind his back to sweeten the offer. Damon looks him up and down for a moment while Ashe smirks to himself, then Damon audibly responds.
Damon Alexander Debaillion: You’re pathetic.
Coming unglued for a moment, Ashe comes to life again and drives Damon hard, back-first, into the barricade three times. Scooping him up, Ashe drops Damon chest-first across the hard railing before grabbing him by the hair and yanking him backwards, Damon’s head seeming to hit the floor rather hard. Damon’s eyes are glazed over as Ashe mounts him and delivers shot after shot, the referee only able to stand there and look on owing to the nature of the fight. Ashe ends things by grabbing Damon by the head and bouncing it off the floor before getting back up and holding his arms up in victory.
Lucas Knox: Is this some sort of penance thing? With this being an unsanctioned street fight, and the literal hope from LeeAnn Viskan that these two tear one another apart, something Damon actually seemed pleased with… I just don’t get it. What’s the play?!
Miranda Augustino: It’s getting a little irritating if you ask me! Ashe came here looking for a fight and he isn’t getting one! Damon’s trying to stick it to him and his family again!
Seth Ernst: I’m not so sure, guys…
As Ashe lounges on the ring apron, taunting Damon from afar, the man starts to get to his feet. Upon seeing this, Ashe slides down and marches over to Damon, booting him in the midsection and setting up a suplex on the ramp! Damon is hoisted up with relative ease but finds his way down and behind Corvin after slipping the legend’s grip! Damon immediately locks on Father’s Sin, the cameras right up close on the grip he has on Corvin, who’s flailing around to try and find a means of escape! Except Damon doesn’t hold on very long, instead yanking Ashe up and over with the Godkiller, spiking Ashe hard on the entrance ramp! Landing hard, Ashe is holding his head, trying to catch his breath and get back up in the same series of motions. Damon, however, is sitting up in front of Ashe, glancing over his shoulder at his hated opponent, his expression cold.
Miranda Augustino: Is he trying to break the man’s neck?!
Seth Ernst: Are you seriously asking that?
Getting to his feet, Damon watches as Ashe gets to his hands and knees before brutally nailing a punt kick to the side of the legend’s head! Knocked onto his back, Ashe is staring blankly up at the lights as Damon walks past him dismissively before reaching down to grab a leg. He starts dragging Ashe the rest of the way up the ramp and toward the backstage area, the referee and cameraman following after them! Through the curtains they go, then past Gorilla. At around this point, Ashe comes around and acclimates to what’s going on. He kicks Damon away and Damon pauses to turn to Ashe, staring down at him with an odd sort of calm.
Damon Alexander Debaillion: You’re only making this harder.
Ashe Corvin: Fuck you, you greasy piece of trash!
Snorting, Damon goes for the leg again and is kicked away again, catching a shot to the face as Ashe scrambles to get to his feet. He does so and grabs a metal clipboard from one of the nearby agents, smashing it across Damon’s head and sending him staggering down the hallway a bit. Ashe follows, grabbing Damon by the arm and moving to whip him into the wall but Damon reverses and drives an elbow into Ashe’s jaw. He yanks a heavy door open, slamming it right into Ashe’s head, but the King of Darkness stays on his feet! He thumbs Damon in the eye and tries to kick the selfsame door into his face but Damon moves aside at the last moment. They come upon the men’s locker room and burst through the door brawling with one another, sending other wrestlers scattering out of the way! Damon throws off Ashe’s grip and Irish whips him into the lockers but Corvin comes back with a standing side slam, driving Damon hard against one of the bolted-down benches!
Lucas Knox: Those people better clear out! These two are stepping it up with every shot now!
Damon rolls off the bench, catching his breath as Ashe starts rifling through open lockers, looking for something to use and finally coming up with a spray can, the contents of which he tries to shoot into Damon’s eyes! Going low, Damon is able to shoulder Ashe into the locker but Ashe brings the can down against the back of Damon’s head once, twice, three times before throwing it aside and delivering a reverse STO that drives Damon into the lockers!
Miranda Augustino: That’s it! Get him! Send him home in a body cast!
Seth Ernst: Now don’t you start talking like Ashe, Miranda!
Damon, on hands and knees, starts moving towards one of the lockers on the opposite wall, presumably his own. Ashe follows after him, throwing kicks to the ribs and dropping clubbing shots to the back. When the camera gets a better angle on things, it’s clear that the locker shot has Damon bleeding a bit. Despite this and the pain he’s in, though, Damon’s face is just as stoic as it has been since the start. He gets his hands on something covered in black cloth but Ashe grabs him by the hair before he can get proper hold of it. A hard knee to the midsection almost leads to the Glorifier before Damon breaks Ashe’s grip and nails him low! The shot leaves Ashe on his knees, coughing and laughing in the same stilted breaths, staring at Damon as the dark-haired man still tries to get his bearings.
Ashe Corvin: Coward…
Damon Alexander Debaillion: Fuck you.
Grabbing Ashe by the ears, Cross rams a knee into the legend’s nose, the blood coming fast after that shot! Left on his ass by the hit, Ashe checks the struck orifice, finding it in a right state. Damon, staring for a moment, turns and grabs the object he’d almost put hands on before. Yanking it out of the bag to reveal, of all things, a glittering, rhinestone-laden steel chair. Damon looks it over for a moment, almost smiling, then grabs it proper by the legs and rears back, grinning sadistically at Ashe.
Damon Alexander Debaillion: Xaria Linette sends her regards.
And Damon swings for the fences, blasting Ashe upside the head when he turns around to respond to Damon’s comment! The hit lands flush and some of the rhinestones shake loose of the augmented seating! With Ashe back down on his hands and knees, Damon heaves the chair up again and brings it down hard, waffling Ashe across the back! The King of Darkness arches up from the blow and Damon, putting the chair aside, forces Ashe to his feet and shoves him against the lockers, only for Ashe to lunge away at drive a forearm into Damon’s jaw! He goes for the chair himself and tries to take Damon’s head off, but Damon evades the blow and it becomes a tug of war for the shiny weapon! Forcing the chair and Ashe backwards, Damon drives it into the legend’s throat, then snatches it from him! Backing off a few steps, Damon chucks the chair at Ashe’s head, but the King of Darkness catches it! A moment later, Damon nails a Yakuza kick that sends the seating right into Ashe’s face, exacerbating his bloody state!
Miranda Augustino: Damn it! Don’t let him disrespect you like this, Ashe! He’s just a man! You’re a legend! The King of Darkness!
Lucas Knox: Who’s bleeding like a stuck pig…
Miranda Augustino: Show some respect, Lucas!
Seth Ernst: Like Ashe did to Damon and his family? I’m sorry, Miranda, but Ashe is getting what he deserves right now!
Yanking the chair away and tossing it aside, Damon grabs Ashe by the head and pulls him out of the locker room, heading further down the hallway, presumably towards catering or perhaps parking. But the sojourn is interrupted by Ashe, who throws off Damon’s grip and rakes the eyes! Damon is left reeling and Ashe advances again, this time literally trying to dig one of Damon’s eyes out of its socket! There’s a roar of pain from Damon as he finally shoves Ashe away, but the eye is clearly giving him trouble and those black nails of Ashe have raked across his face, drawing blood! It gets worse when Damon is grabbed by the hair again and sent into a nearby flat-screen in the interview area! The device shatters and emits sparks and smoke, the broken shards cutting Damon something fierce! Yanking the useless device free of the mounting, Ashe brings it down across Damon’s head, then his back, before throwing it aside!
Ashe drops down and goes for a cover!
ONE…
TWO…
KICK-OUT!
TWO…
KICK-OUT!
Damon kicks out with surprising authority but Ashe isn’t put off one bit. He taunts Damon into charging and back body drops him onto the broken pieces of the television screen, the sharp edges digging into Damon’s back and causing more pain! As he rolls over, Ashe grabs him by the hair in a rear mount, throwing a few crossface shots before trying to rub Damon’s face in the monitor’s remains! Damon staves this off somehow, but has to put his hands to the floor to do it, with the glass digging into his palms instead! Finally rearing back, driving his head into Ashe’s already-busted, and possibly broken, nose allows Damon to break free of the veteran’s grip! Ashe comes at him in a spluttering fury and Damon sidesteps him, sending him head-first into the set pieces of the interview area, bringing the whole thing crashing down!
Lucas Knox: This is getting uglier by the moment! And there’s nothing anyone can do about it!
Seth Ernst: The referee is just there to make the count and security only exists to keep others out of their way! This is how they wanted it! Viskan making it unsanctioned has only ensured that they can go too far without reprisal!
Ashe Corvin: This all you got?!
His voice is nasally thanks to the state of his nose, but Ashe is still taunting Damon as the latter digs through the rubble to find the veteran. Ashe surprises him with a shot of metal piping from the set pieces, whacking Damon across the head, then the jaw. The second blow is what hits hardest and Ashe drags Damon the rest of the way to catering. It’s fairly quiet at this point, with the employees packing up to leave, but there’s still tables and coolers and Ashe is after the former, scoop-slamming Damon across one and dumping out one of the ice-filled containers, looking to smash Damon with it. He rolls away just in time and the cooler goes bouncing away. Damon rolls off the table and kicks it into Ashe before running and leaping onto it before leaping on Ashe, driving him into the floor! Damon rolls away but Ashe is up fast, snatching up one of the leftover cans of sterno! He boots Damon low and grabs a lighter from nearby as one of the employees from before tries to stop him! Ashe shoves them aside with ease and pops the lid on the fuel, intending to use it to burn the hell out of Damon somehow!
Miranda Augustino: That’s it, Ashe! Light him up!
Catching Ashe’s arm in his, Damon staves off the attempt for a few moments, but still almost takes a face-full of the flaming gel to the face! Knocking it out of Ashe’s hand, Damon sends Ashe into another table and picks up a five-gallon Cambro container and dumps the icy contents all over Ashe! The cold is enough to shock him into inactivity for a few moments… long enough for him to grab Ashe by the head and mash his face against one of the still-hot metal trays! Ashe recoils with a yelp of pain, his cheek suffering a burn, and chucks the pan at Damon before returning the favor with another Cambro, this one still half-full of hot coffee! The liquid splashes all over Damon, making him exclaim in pain himself and rip off his shirt to try and get the soaked material away! Ashe delivers a running kick, sending Damon to a knee, then hits a double-knee gutbuster, driving the air out of Cross! Yet his attempt at a Death Valley driver on the floor is stopped when Damon elbows his way free, a Dragonfire DDT spiking Ashe against the floor! Damon goes for a pin!
ONE…
TWO…
TH-NO!
SHOULDER UP!
TWO…
TH-NO!
SHOULDER UP!
Miranda Augustino: This is getting worse and worse! Ashe needs to put him away quick!
Lucas Knox: Both of them are badly busted up and bleeding… I don’t think this CAN last too much longer.
Further along they go, Damon dragging Ashe this time, down the hallway towards another area of the arena. People move to the side or straight up down another hallway or into rooms as they pass, with Damon and Ashe slugging it out every step of the way. Sending one another into walls, doors and windows only slows them down; it never stops them. Damon’s blurred vision is giving him trouble, though, as is Ashe’s hindered breathing. A running Ashe is snatched up by Damon and hurled with a Greco-Roman throw to the concrete floor as the two burst into the dock area at the rear of the arena. Ashe goes for one of the large trash cans, not bothering to dump it out before sending it flying at Damon and then grabbing a nearby shovel! A shot to the head is narrowly missed, but a blow to the midsection lands just fine, doubling Damon up. Bringing the handle down and across Damon’s throat, Ashe wrenches back on it with a knee against Damon’s back, snarling at him.
Ashe Corvin: Face it, Damon: you’re a failure! I’m doing your pathetic family a favor taking you out! Now you can’t embarrass yourself or them anymore!
A response is attempted, but Ashe wrenches back harder as Damon’s face reddens. The referee attempts to talk sense into Ashe, which doesn’t work naturally though he does finally let go of his grip when Damon is semi-conscious. He positions Damon for the Glorifier and this time it connects!
Miranda Augustino: That’s it! That has to be it!
ONE…
TWO…
THRE-NO!
DAMON GETS THE SHOULDER UP!
TWO…
THRE-NO!
DAMON GETS THE SHOULDER UP!
Miranda Augustino: Wha-HOW?!
That’s what Ashe would like to know! Damon is on jelly legs when Ashe pulls him to his feet, wanting another Glorifier! Mustering all his strength, Damon back body drops Ashe to counter before dropping to his hands and knees and… laughing! Forcing himself up to his feet, Damon delivers a curb stomp to Ashe, driving his head into the floor but almost collapsing himself from the exertion! Both men are down for several moments, struggling to get upright again. Damon moves off toward one of the open bays, the night sky beckoning beyond it along with a loading area more than ten feet down. Ashe sees where Damon is going and starts approaching, hitting a kick to the ribs, then another, trying to boot Damon over the edge!
Seth Ernst: Now this is getting too dangerous! A fall like that could seriously hurt one or both men!
Rolling away from another shot, albeit barely, Damon hits a punch to the ribs and whips Ashe toward the bay with the veteran barely stopping himself from going over! Damon goes for a German of all things but Ashe elbows his way out and tries to suplex Damon over the edge! The two jockey for position for several moments, both teetering dangerously at several points but finding their way back onto the dock for another slugfest! The blows are wild and barely landing, though, as the two spend one another, fueled only by rage at this point… until Ashe pastes Damon with a clothesline to the back of the head after ducking a big right hand. Damon is on his hands and knees again near the edge of the bay and Ashe, it seems, has had enough!
Ashe Corvin: I’m sending you to your family in a body bag!
An enzuigiri from Ashe staggers Damon as he’s back on his feet, with Corvin lining up another shot! The King of Darkness charges… and misses! He comes within an inch of going over the edge, only to be stopped from fully falling by Damon himself! Shock is writ across the bloody face of Ashe as a result, with Damon staring back silently. Yanking Ashe into a side slam backbreaker, Damon picks up the shovel used against him earlier and brings it over to Ashe. Without a word or even an expression, Damon starts bringing down the large tool over and over, smashing Ashe up from head to toe with multiple overhead strikes, the scrape of metal hitting the concrete tame next to the impacts of metal on flesh! Placing the broken-off business end of the shovel over Ashe’s head, Damon delivers another jumping stomp before kicking it aside! One eye damaged, his face raked up, blood and coffee all over him (along with some burns from the latter across his arms and chest), Damon gets down close to Ashe and whispers just loud enough for the cameras to hear.
Damon Alexander Debaillion: I’m sending myself to Hell, Ashe… just so I can take you with me.
Looking over the edge of the dock, the camera peering over with him, a dumpster is seen below, laden with all sorts of refuse. Damon, nodding once, turns and yanks Ashe to his feet.
Miranda Augustino: Too far! TOO FAR!
Lucas Knox: He can’t be serious! They’ll both end up in the hospital! Hell, their careers might be over!
Seth Ernst: Damon’s on his way out, though! He has nothing to lose!
Yanking Ashe to his feet, Damon sets up for the Weight of the World! Ashe elbows his way out and escapes for a moment, but his standing side slam is broken out of! Damon delivers a neckbreaker and once again sets up Weight of the World…
…LEAPING OFF THE DOCK AND INTO THE DUMPSTER TO DRIVE HIMSELF AND ASHE INTO THE PILE BELOW!
Miranda Augustino: NO!
Seth Ernst: H-Holy shit! I can’t believe he did that!
The referee is shocked as well, but still has a job to do! He manages to let himself down onto the lid of the container, seeing Ashe down and out inside of it and Damon lying there with an arm draped across the veteran’s chest! The referee makes a count…
ONE…
TWO…
…
THREE!
DING! DING! DING!
TWO…
…
THREE!
DING! DING! DING!
…and finally the war is over!
Madoka Kawada: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner…
But she doesn’t finish the announcement. The crowd and, hell, everyone else are still in shock at what has transpired! Lana Corvin is shown coming to the edge of the dock, looking in on her father while clearly concerned. EMTs come around to the dock proper, getting Ashe out of there while Damon likewise requires assistance getting out of the container. Once out, though, he staggers away from them, in no mood to be touched or spoken to.
Miranda Augustino: Oh, sure! Play the badass, why don’t you?! Damon might have ended Ashe’s career for good!
Except Damon only gets a few steps before a white SUV pulls up and two men get out, one of them a massive-but-aged Japanese man, who helps Damon into the back seat, and the more familiar form of the Irish Dragon, Eric Donavan, who gets into the driver’s seat, though he does stop to look over the scene before doing so.
Lucas Knox: The Dragon and the Demon.
Seth Ernst: Fitting, I suppose, that the ones who reared Damon for the business are the ones who take him away from it. I just hope both these guys are okay.
Miranda Augustino: Who cares about Damon?!
Lucas Knox: Miranda, seriously… just be quiet already.
As EMTs start loading Ashe into an ambulance along with Lana, the SUV’s doors shut and it drives away in a cloud of dust, bringing the show to a close.
