Nick Hanson: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the 5th annual Vlad Blackheart Memorial Tournament FINALS SUPERSHOW!!!!
Miranda Augustino: Let's goooooooooo!! This tournament's been hot so far but it's all come down to this night, Nicky!!
Nick Hanson: Indeed, it has, Mir! Hello, folks, I'm Nick Hanson and I'm joined here by Miranda Augustino. We hope you're buckled in because tonight is sure to be an insane night for professional wrestling. What do we have in store for the people tonight, Miranda?
Miranda Augustino: Belts on belts on belts, baby! Both top titles are on the line, tonight. Kasey Kash is gonna be defending the Undisputed Championship against none other than Mark Storm. Jansen Myrrh puts the World Heavyweight Title up in a triple threat match against Haruka Fukuhara and Gabriel Ohio. Gabriel! Ohio! Yo, are we gonna get the Bard or the Trauma tonight, Nick?
Nick Hanson: With Gabriel Ohio, there's no telling. It depends on what kind of mood he's in, but either way, he's not to be overlooked. His twenty two plus year career speaks volumes alone.
Miranda Augsutino: We're gonna have us a deathmatch, too! A razorblade deathmatch for the Silver Mountain Championship. Jonna Austin defending against Darcy Graves. I used to watch these shits down South and man, can they get nasty.
Nick Hanson: I believe it, Miranda. I'm apprehensive of what's going to happen with that one.
Miranda Augustino: But hey, it's gonna be a solid night, because WE as in Trauma, are gonna get us a new United States Champion! Alexandra Calaway, Ayu Megumi and CODA up for the strap! Fun fact: Alexandra Calaway was actually gonna be announced as the challenger for former champion for Ibbie tonight but with Ibbie's injury, obviously plans changed. Don't get me started on social media.
Miranda throws up her hands as if to say "my name's Paul and this shit's between y'all."
Miranda Augustino: Big supershow means, we also have something special in store. We got SPLAT MultiUniversal Champion in action tonight! Mary Ellen Harrison defends her title against NFW's own Damon Cross. We don't wanna forget our ladder match either! Only two people can go to the tournament finals but everybody that works the tournament busts that ass all month so we gotta give something to our runner ups! Two runner ups from each block: Tanja Devereaux, River Chance, Johnny Towers and Maga Rosa. Ladder match for a contracted shot at Wrestle War. The winner's gonna challenge the Silver Mountain Champion, the United States Champion or the Zodiac Champion!
Nick Hanson: It all depends on who grabs that briefcase! Then, Mir, we got our main event, don't we?
Miranda grins, rubbing her hands together.
Miranda Augustino: Shit, after both blocks finished, Nicky, I knew this match was gonna be a banger announcement. Kai Morgan, winner of A Block and Morgan Payne, winner of B Block are gonna tear the roof off this place to see who goes on to main event Wrestle War on night two with either the Undisputed or World Heavyweight Champion. Now, Morgan Payne's been saying it's in her destiny to win this tournament for the memory or Vlad Blackheart, the man that trained her, but then you got Kai Morgan. The man made NFW history by completely sweeping A Block with nine solid victories! Eighteen points! This is coming after a string of losses and Kai Morgan felt like he was down in the dumps but, Nicky, something clicked and woke this hombre up. He stepped into that ring on September 5th and just started cleaning house! He's been on a hot streak and it doesn't look like he's slowing down. This main event is gonna be sick!
Nick Hanson: We've got a stacked card and no time to waste, folks! This is it! The Vlad Blackheart Memorial 5 Finals starts NOW!!

We open up to the backstage area with Josh Davidson staring at the camera. Josh Davidson: Welcome to the final day of the Vlad Blackheart memorial tournament, there is so much excitement here backstage here and a lot of electricity in the air, who will come out on top between the two winners of the A and B block…
Suddenly he gets cut off as a person is heard coming up to him from the side.
Josh Davidson: Hey look here it's one of the runner ups of the tournament Johnny Towers, can we get a…
Before he can finish a pissed off looking Towers snatches the microphone from his grips and pushes him hard enough to send him flying out of sight.
Johnny Towers: GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SIGHT JOSH I HAVE ZERO FUCKS TO GIVE RIGHT NOW!
Livid he turns to the camera microphone in hand.
Johnny Towers: Oh and for the person who thinks this is fucking funny what happened to my crew dont you dare think I dont know who you are because I fucking know there is only one person who knew this information outside of us. You want to make this fucking personal then fine by me. I have ways and means of getting to you.
Taking a breath Towers turns his head and spits to the side.
Johnny Towers: And as far as tonights match goes, a fucking ladder match with a case above that ring that i want and if all the others didnt have much of a chance of winning before their chances have become zero because now I am fucking pissed and I am focused on nothing more than complete and utter destruction of all you other fuckers that dare stand in my way of getting what I deserve, River Chance, Tanja Devereux and Maga Rosa I will give you the only piece of human decency I have in my body and tell you to get the fuck out of my way because if you dare step in my way I will make you all regret ever stepping into that ring to begin with and that is a fucking promise.
Towers throws the microphone down onto the ground and grabs the camera from the camera man.
Johnny Towers: NFW if you think what I did before was bad, just wait and see what is going to happen in the coming months because I have only just begun to show you all what sort of violence i am capable of.
The camera cuts out as he throws it to the side sending the screen to static.

”When you take everything away, what is left?”The voice belongs unmistakably to Damon Cross. We hear him before we see him, the view opening up to the man himself standing in front of a tall, broad mirror, polished to an exquisite level of clarity. The nature of the lighting and Damon’s own attire, though, mask his appearance. Swathed all in black, the only color visible is the silver of the wolf’s head at the top of his cane, gripped in a gloved hand. The hood masks his face, by shadow if not by length, but there is nothing blocking out his voice.
Damon Cross: In another place and time, the Cult of Carnivore conspired to take away what I had earned, thus robbing an entire locker room, an entire company in fact, of a better, brighter future. A weathered old misanthrope known as Sickle… they handed him the World Heavyweight Championship, sending La Lealtad es Todo scurrying like frightened animals, showing the world their true colors.
It is still a sore spot, clearly. Damon, however, resists an outburst. That time has come and gone. Weeks ago, in fact. What emits from him next is not rage, but instead laughter. Dry and humorless, but laughter all the same.
Damon Cross: But as they found out, much to their chagrin, money talks and bullshit walks. The Cult’s chosen one felt that he was worth more than the company did, and thus took a walk, leaving the championship in the mud. They tried to sacrifice the company’s one shining hope, yours truly, and take a gamble on another.
Gambling, however, is as much a science as it is an art. They rolled the dice and them bones came up snake eyes. How appropriate. You put the future of all on the table, seemingly on a whim, and the ball falls on the double-zero. House wins. Everyone loses. Well done, boys and girls.”
A snort of irritation comes from beneath the hood. The cane’s tip strikes the floor firmly, demandingly.
Damon Cross: And now you’re wishing you had your hero back. But it’s too little, too late. Oh, I will have my turn again to vie for that World Heavyweight Championship. You can count on me earning that opportunity and making the most of it… because that’s no gamble. It is inevitable. But your hero is gone for good. He’s dead. And he’s never coming back.
Harsh words… but is he the hero? Or is it someone else? There is no elaboration.
Damon Cross: NFW is no less guilty, though. The one certainty around here was that my dear, darling wife, Danielle, would always be this company’s shining light. In the ring or out, her energy could not be denied, nor could her strength of spirit. But… that wasn’t good enough, was it? So the front office took her away from you all. Took her away from me, too. And, much like the Cult of Carnivore and their short-sighted actions, the ramifications are about to be felt in spades. Because just like the ECWF lost their hero, NFW has lost its Redeemer.
A firm statement is made. The view scrambles for a moment, flashing to a short clip from Constantine-
-before it returns to Damon, who has thrown back the hood and turned his back on the mirror, standing and staring at the camera almost coldly.
Damon Cross: But before some of you malcontents get your hopes up, allow me to clarify: I’m not going anywhere. I said that your Redeemer was lost. I never said that I was leaving.
Another note or two of mirthless chuckling.
Damon Cross: And the monster isn’t coming back, either. He’s sleeping the sleep of the eternal. The God of Ascension? Heh… hahaha… HAHAHAHA!
This time there’s humor in that laughter… which doesn’t change the sinister tone one iota.
Damon Cross: God? God is DEAD!
Glaring at the camera now, Damon strikes the floor with the tip of the cane again.
Damon Cross: What are we left with, then? What I was is gone now. What I will become is a mystery to all save myself. In the here and now, there is only one word that defines me: unforgiven. Tonight, the first to properly experience the results of the unmitigated injustices and violence hurled my way… will be Mary Ellen Harrison.
Stroking his chin a little, Damon props the cane up on his shoulder, considering his words carefully.
Damon Cross: But that isn’t a threat, Mary. It is merely a statement of fact. Even a month ago you would have faced the Redeemer, but he no longer exists. And tonight, with the SPLAT MultiUniversal Championship on the line, it is time that I, more than anyone else, find out just who I am. No more holding myself back for the sake of pain and the feelings of others. No more moving amongst the pack. Just Damon Cross… the Unforgiven… no friends or foes, no allies nor enemies. Only opponents. Only gold, glory and blood. As it probably should have been from the start.
Perhaps it is too soon to say with certainty what will come of this. Invariably, the goal is to become the greatest. To reach the top of the mountain again, to plant that golden flag and shout across the sky, heard from heaven to hell, at all of you to come and get me. We will see very soon, though, won’t we, Mary? I thank you, at least, for coming correct as we waded through the dreck towards this encounter. In gratitude, I’ll put you through the test of your career in that ring. As to the rest of the locker room, here and elsewhere? I suggest you pay close attention. Because the beginning may very well become indicative of the end. Yours, mine and everyone’s.
Say my name.
And just like that, the lights go out once again.
