Thuersdays were always sort of the day to play catch-up for the Shieldmaidens that worked at the Barn. Wednesday was their big fight night, though they did smaller ones on the weekends as well. Thursdays, however, meant a business sitdown that involved Jackie “Bandit” Layton, “Psycho” Saoirse Maguire, Aoife “Banshee” Maguire, Kerry “King” Romero and Jocelyn “Tibs” Thibault to go over who still looked good for future fights, who was probably damaged goods at best and how much money had been made by the book with the gambling.
There almost always came a time after that had been done, where other business pushed to the forefront of conversation. Today was no different.
Jocelyn "Tibs" Thibault: You ever had business in Antwerp before?
Bandit nods knowingly, almost disguestly as if the mere mention of the city brought back bad memories of some sort.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Yes.
Taken aback, Banshee frowns in confusion.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire Ye have?
Bandit nods, still looking annoyed and disgusted at the thought.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Yeah, my donor got the company into diamonds. I have no idea why since he knew nothing about that business but he liked to think he knew fucking everything about everything.
Bandit shakes her head, looking like she almost wants to spit on her late father all over again.

Sensing the need for a subject change, Psycho almost laughs.

Grateful for her tag team partner’s quick thinking, Bandit starts answering before Psycho can even finish asking the question.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: I think we need to make sure we have our heads screwed on straight for this one. We’ve been in the ring with Jamie Love before but Xavier Reid is a whole other kettle of fish! Man’s been champion left, right and… whatever else. He’s one of the guys that tried to talk Sam into looking beyond us…
Bandit shakes her head, that same look she’d had about her father now present for Xavier Reid.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Probably only ever thinks of us enough to shake his head and wonder aloud what she was doing with us.
Psycho shrugs as f the answer is obvious.

Bandit nods slowly, still looking annoyed.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Yeah, though you know most of them would say that means Sam carried my Canadian ass until she got tired of it and cut me loose here, right?
Psycho crosses her arms over her chest.

Bandit nods pointedly.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Yeah, I know that. You know that. Eef, Tibs and King know that but there’s a lot of people in EWC that are never going to believe that no matter how many times Sam tells them.
Psycho just sts back, resigned to the truth of what Bandit just said.

Banshee shakes her head.

Tibs just gives everyone a look.
Jocelyn "Tibs" Thibault: Doesn’t sound like it.
King smiles, trying to raise everyone’s spirits.

Psycho nods to King, smiling at what she’s just tried to do.

Psycho nods all over again, this time trying to hurry this thought along so it won’t linger, fester and gain intensity.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: He did but I dinnae pay him any attention.
Bandit frowns in confusion at the name being mentioned.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Connor?
Psycho nods quickly, almost curtly.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye, our cousin, Connor. He bae lovin’ tae try an’ scare us wit stories he heard from paeple talkin’ about whotever. Antwerp bae one o’ many places he told stories about.
King and Tibs both sit back in their chairs.
Jocelyn "Tibs" Thibault: Nothing good, I’d imagine then from the way Eef sounds.
King nods her agreement with Tibs.
Kerry "King" Romero: Sounds like horror stories to me.
Psycho nods.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye, stories tha make ye wanna avoid certain places at all costs if ye kin bae doin’ such tings.
Banshee nods at what her sister is saying.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire Aye, Antwerp bae one o’ th’ places he bae warnin’ about.
Bandit nods pointedly.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: If we need to in order to make you feel safe, we’ll bring Harry and Bex with us, ok?
Banshee nods.

Bandit nods solemnly.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: We need all our heads in the game for this. The Bastards made a point of coming to us. We need to make a point of showing back!
Psycho nods.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye!
Banshee nods as well.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire Aye.
Bandit smiles for both sisters.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Alright, let's go over things for Tibs and King one more time and then we’ll go get ready.
Psycho and Banshee both nod again as Tibs gets the information ready for everyone to hear again, just like she always does and the Thursday rolls on.

The camera opens on the members of ST, Jackie “Bandit” Layton and “Psycho” Saoirse Maguire standing next to each other under the now familiar and perhaps infamous black Shieldmaidens banner with the whte lettering hanging on the wall of their warehouse gym. Both women are decked out in matching ensembles, black boots, black jeans, black homemade ST t-shirts with the letters just smeared across the shirt in blue and white on Bandit’s shirt and green and orange on Psycho’s. Their Shieldmaidens’ kuttes complete the look, both nodding to the camera.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: So now the Bastards get what they want…
She pauses and then nods in acknowledgment.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Or, at least what Xavbier Reid wanted.
Psycho nods in agreement with her partner.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye, Jamie Love dinna bae sayin’ a word durin’ tha whole…
Bandit snickers.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: It was a spiel, like he thought he had to con us into accepting this match because…
She shrugs.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Reasons.
Psycho shakes her head.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: He still bae talkin’ like we bae stupid tae accept any match haer.
Bandit nods.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Oh, he’s not the only one. Let’s be honest with ourselves on this one, Sorsh, the club walked into this company with several of us thinking this wasn’t going to be any big thing. We dug ourselves a hole and some never really climbed out of it.
Psycho shrugs.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Sam did.
Bandit nods, annoyance flooding over her entire countenance as she does so.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Yeah and Xavier probably thinks on some level that she only did it because she listened to him and not because she was inherently talented enough to do it herself.
Psycho looks away in disgust.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: That bae a load o’ shite!
Bandit shrugs.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Yeah, but if you listened to him the whole time he was talking, it wasn’t so much in his words. I mean, don’t get me wrong, he did shit on us to an extent, but not nearly as badly as he could have or as much as Tommy Love as before, but it was the attitude behind the words. Xavier Reid doesn’t respect us at all. He never has and he never will until we knock the smug out of him and show him that Sam isn’t the only one of us who recognizes the mistake the club made coming here.
Psycho nods to Bandit.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye, tha bae true. We bae comin’ haer wit numbers an’ those numbers tinned when tings went sideways.
Bandit nods.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Bex got hurt, Robi went off on her trip to…
She pauses and then nods to herself.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Ok, I don’t know exactly where all Robi went but I know she wasn’t here anymore. Zombie and Eavan got themselves into hot water and had to go take care of some shit.
Pausing again, she points to Psycho and herself.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: We stayed and started trying to fill in the hole that was dug. We even managed to earn some respect along the way but it obviously was never enough for Xavier Reid and the Love Club.
Psycho shakes her head, a grimace of anger on her face.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye, an’ makes ye bae wonderin’ if Jamie Love is always goin’ tae bae th’ li’l puppy chasin’ after th’ big dog or if eventually he will stand up and say, “Aw shaddup!”
Bandit snickers while still looking annoyed.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: You wanted us, Xavier, you got us!
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: If ye bae wanton’ blood, ye got it!
Bandit nods in agreement.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: We get it, you think you sold us a bill of goods about the Southern Express and your contenders’ number and a title shot because you think this got you a guaranteed spot on television where you’ll just roll over us like we don[‘t even exist. Like we're not even speed ripple, much less a speed bump on your way to glory!
Psycho nods in grim agreement.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye, we got tha crystal feckin claer!
Bandit nods again.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: But we didn’t take thios match with you because of all you sold us.
She extends a hand to slow down the response she knows is coming.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Don’t get it twisted, X, all that stuff would be great for us and we’re not going to turn it down but that’s also not why we accepted.
Psycho shakes her head.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Nay, we bae acceptin’ this match baecause we wanted th’ chance at ye, X. Ye an’ Jamie stand in front o’ us an’ bae representin’ every person in EWC tha has ever spoken tae us like tha!
Bandit nods, pointing aggressively into the camera.
Jackie "Bandit" Layton: You called us out and now it’s our job to show the world that we deserved to be in there just as much as you do! It’s our job to, nay, our fucking duty to drag the respect out of you kicking and screaming if we have to! You talked down to us and tried to STEAL our Maiden sister. Now we get to show the world why you failed and did not manage to extract her the way you wanted to!
