The crowd stirs for a moment before "New Soul" by Yael Naïm starts playing in the arena and cheers erupt. Out from the back, dressed in an up-scaled version of her usual ring gear, comes Ibbie. She stands on the stage and smiles in response to the fan reaction she's gotten and looks around shyly while twirling some strands of her hair between her fingers. Some of the fans are even singing her theme music as it plays and Ibbie even mouths the words along with them for a moment before making her way to the ring. Following not far behind her is her manager, Loree Merope, who is dressed in attire even more formal than her normal professional look. Seth Ernst: How much this young woman has made her way into the hearts of the fans and talent alike in NFW over such a short span of time. An indy darling who Stacy Jones took a chance on by giving her a title shot, first match, and welcome to our promotion all at once. Since then Ibbie has challenged for titles and developed quite a competitive, yet respectful, friendship with Ayu Megumi who she faces tonight.
Miranda Augustino: Sure she's challenged for both the NFW Intercontinental and Genesis titles, but has she won a title? No. She's still a professional rookie in our sport and it shows by her failure to win the big matches. There's a reason "Small Match Ibbie" shirts are selling and that's because she'll never win the big one as she's already proven to us all and the fans want to remind her with those shirts.
Seth Ernst: I don't think that's correct, but you're entitled to your own opinion. Ibbie is in the ring now with a microphone. Let's hear what she has to say.
Miranda Augustino: A nadie le importa…
As Ibbie stands ready to speak, the crowd starts chanting her name. This causes the girl to smile and let out a small giggle into the mic before saying anything. Loree smiles at the response and decides to pep up the crowd even more causing Ibbie to smile back and motion for Loree to stop. Loree ceases and returns to Ibbie's side pointing her attention to the crowd in attendance and saying something to her which isn't picked up on mic. The visibly overwhelmed Ibbie puts the mic down for a moment and nods to Loree before she brings the mic up to speak. The crowd quiets down to a hush as they wait for her to say the thing.
Ibbie: Hi, I'm Ibbie!
The crowd reacts with cheers and the majority saying, "Hi, Ibbie!" in response. Ibbie laughs into the mic and nods before continuing.
Ibbie: Um.... Wow! This is quite a reaction for my first supershow appearance! Loree was just pointing out to me the massive number of fans in attendance tonight. Not just that, but there are other fans who couldn't make it out tonight that are watching the stream on the Splat! Network. Anyway, I could have just stayed in the back and talked to you, but Loree saw it best for me to come out here in person with you tonight!
The crowd cheers their approval with a small number trying to start a "Thank you Loree" chant which doesn't get off the ground. Loree still acknowledges them by slightly bowing her head in their direction for their efforts. Once the crowd hushes, Ibbie continues.
Ibbie: Tonight, you will see many great matches. Titles will be on the line, rivalries will be concluded, re-ignited, or maybe just stay the same. Then you have two friendly competitors who will go once again against one another in the ring to see who can come out the better. That match is the one between Ayu Megumi and me! IBBIE!!!
Ibbie has joy in her voice and the crowd cheers for her once again with chants going back and forth for her and for Ayu.
Seth Ernst: Clearly, fans of both wrestlers are here tonight and I don't know if we've ever seen two competitors as evenly matched up as Ibbie and Ayu Megumi.
The crowd settles down from the cheers.
Ibbie: Ayu, there isn't much else I can say to you, friend, than what has already been said. We've had similar paths in NFW and every time we've crossed paths, the match ended in a draw. We teamed up and that ended in victory and we've had wins over other opponents, just not each other. Ayu, you are an amazing opponent, an even more amazing partner and that comes from your competitive spirit both in the ring and on social media. When you speak, I can feel the pride you have in yourself and that's completely earned and deserved. You have a wonderful heart and a beautiful soul that you take to the ring each match showing everyone in NFW just how worthy a competitor you are in this ring.
The crowd cheers for Ayu Megumi as Ibbie nods her head in agreement.
Ibbie: Ayu Megumi, you have a family in wrestling and that is something I don't have. My only family is Loree beside me. Even though your family may not have the same views as you, I know you still love them. It reflects in the things you say to them. It also reflects in the things you do, and it's why you feel so strongly against how they think and what they do on their respective shows. You want them to be better and become the best just like you. You set an example for them night in and night out in your matches. You stand for your own views and values which are respectable and I respect you for having them. You come out and back up what you say each and every night as you put your own body on the line to entertain your fans and show everyone you are not to be underestimated. Ayu Megumi, you are an honorable competitor and our friendship is built on honor, competition, and respect.
Ibbie smiles as the crowd reacts by cheering for Ayu Megumi.
Ibbie: BUT... and this is a big butt. I should know something about those, right, Loree?
Ibbie pushes her back side out in Loree's direction and her manager just covers her mouth with her hands looking almost caught off guard by her client's behavior. Ibbie just looks back and reiterates her point by saying, "Podunky Dunk," which is barely picked up by the mic. The crowd responds by cheering, "Podunky Dunk Nation," repeatedly. Loree laughs, but motions for Ibbie to get back to the fans and she obliges.
Ibbie: BUT... Ayu Megumi, I've been training just as hard as you have. I'm prepared to face the best version of you tonight, I'm prepared to give you the best version of me to face tonight, I'm ready to see which one of us will be the winner tonight, I'm done with the draws, I'm ready to see which of us excels and which needs to strive harder to get back up to their level. I'm ALL of that!
Ibbie pauses and smiles as the crowd cheers knowing what is coming next...
Ibbie: And I'm also still Ibbie!!!
"New Soul" by Yael Naïm plays once again as Ibbie and Loree leave the ring and make their way up to the stage. Ibbie looks back and waves to the audience while attempting to walk backward up to the stage the best she can.
Miranda Augustino: I'll also be glad when there's a winner between the two of them. I'm all for Ayu Megumi winning tonight and sending Ibbie all the way to the bottom with the rest of the enhancement talent.
Seth Ernst: Mir, I don't think you give this young woman enough credit. I feel she's more than earned enough to gain the respect of everyone in NFW.
Miranda Augustino: Tell me that after Ibbie has a belt around her waist and maybe I'll believe you.
Ibbie exits with her manager still getting a reaction from the cheering and, for some, singing fans. Eventually everything calms down as the fans await what is next on the show.

Miranda Augustino: ¡Claro, Seth! Though I’m not too crazy about a Zion-related match opening the supershow… but hey! Lana Corvin is proudly representing New Frontier Wrestling!
Thea Crawford is on her feet, raising the microphone to begin the introductions. However, in the blink of an eye, the lights of the Vlad Blackheart Colosseum suddenly go out! There’s definitely confusion within the crowd, but there’s also concern about this darkness.
Seth Ernst: Oh no…
Miranda Augustino: Jesús, toma el volante. The Children of Nephilim are here!
Seth and Miranda are clearly uncomfortable. They’re right to be afraid. Finally, the lights come back on, and standing in the center of the ring is Sathariel… in a gothic red dress. The angelic mask covers her face, her stoicism unaffected by the booing of the fans. In her right hand is a live microphone. Surrounding the ring are several Demons who stand ready to protect the Angel. Sathariel raises the microphone and parts her ruby-painted lips to speak.
Sathariel: ...I am ready to answer the questions you seek.
While some of the fans continue to boo, some of them actually silence themselves. They want to hear what the former Guardian has to say. Slowly, the rest of the fans grow quiet. Sathariel gauges them before she continues.
Sathariel: First, I must warn you that what you are about to hear…? Terrible, horrible things will be revealed. They are not for the weak of heart. If you are sensitive or have triggers, leave. Use the restroom. Go to the concession stands. Close the tab with this Splat Network stream.
She lowers the microphone for a moment, literally offering everyone the opportunity to do any of the above. There are a few fans, especially those with youth, who leave their seats. Then the moment ends and when she raises the microphone again, she recites a familiar quote.
Sathariel: You were warned.
Seth Ernst: Hey… That’s one of her husband’s famous lines. “The Fanged One” Dean Matthews.
Miranda Augustino: I have a bad feeling about this, Seth. C-can I leave?
Shaking her head, Sathariel raises her left hand to slowly remove her mask. Her blue eyes are dark. Her complexion is a little pale. Her golden blonde locks frame her face.
Sathariel: ...earlier this year, on February 23rd, 2022, at the Chicago Midway International Airport…
...I was on the verge of death.
Immediately, there’s a twist of confusion and concern from the fans. Was she being dramatic? Yet the sad, intense look in her eyes did not tell lies.
Sathariel: I was on my way to the airport, on my way to fly home. I wanted to be with my husband, our children, and our dogs. But the captain of the private jet… wasn’t the captain at all. Nein.
The use of the German word sharpens her tone just a little. It causes some uneasiness.
Sathariel: ...it was the Mastermind. The Architect of the Astro Creeps.
Seth Ernst: Daedalus…?!
Miranda Augustino: Ugh, that bad feeling is getting worse by the second…
A frown crosses Sathariel’s face and her eyes stare down at her hot-red high heels.
Sathariel: I’ve known Daedalus for a while now. When the Astro Creeps were targeting mein Freund, Sebastian Everett Bryce, I was one of the people who stepped up to fight alongside him. Ever since then, the Architect… expressed an interest in me. He was obsessed with me. Hell… he still is.
So to see him where Daniel should have been… I knew he wasn’t alone. I knew something was wrong. He attempted to persuade me. “Join me. Become one of the Astro Creeps. Be with me…”
I refused.
He kissed me.
I forced him away from me.
Then four of the Creeps tried to ambush me. Of course, I had my Captain America Shield to help me fight them off. But then I saw her standing at the top of the airstair… Pisces. She looked like someone I used to know. It was eerie… and it took me off guard.
The more Sathariel speaks of the issue, the more she begins to sound like… herself. Jessica Matthews. The worry of the fans grows as she forces herself to press on.
Sathariel: ...that was when Kosnar ambushed me. He took my own weapon and used it against me. The snow became stained with my own blood. I was hurt. I was bleeding. I was… choked…
Immediately, her left hand touches her own neck with the mask. Upon closer inspection, her eyes were welling up with tears. The poor woman was trembling. To recall such horror… It was no wonder why she warned everyone first.
Sathariel: ...My wound was so severe, that I was going to bleed to death. I wasn’t going to make it home. Mein Liebe would have become widowed! Mein Liebchen would have lost their mother! No one would have ever seen me again! Not my family, not my friends, not the fans…
Jessica swallows uneasily before slowly placing the mask back over her face. For a moment, all she does is simply breathe. The fans are stunned into silence. Not even Seth and Miranda are commenting. Suddenly, her entire demeanor changes. There is no fear in her eyes and her body stops trembling. There’s no more doubt, no more insecurity. There is only an icy hatred. Clutching the microphone, Sathariel speaks again.
Sathariel: ...but Lord Lucifer saved my life.
There were Demons within the vicinity. He had sent them to rescue me. If it wasn’t for my Lord, I would have died. Unfortunately, there’s no audio or video proof of what happened that night… I only have the scars. The fear. This is what Daedalus was referring to during the last Collision. He knew the answers because the Astro Creeps were the catalysts.
But now? I am no longer afraid. No… I am angry. Vengeful. I want them to suffer just like I did! However, now is not the time. As a matter of fact, the time for revenge is completely unknown. Daedalus, Kosnar, and Pisces will not see me coming. There will be no warning whatsoever. Until then…?
She shakes her head slowly.
Sathariel: ...the answers are clear. You wanted them so badly. Now you have them. Now you know exactly why I am with the Children of Nephilim. I am the Devil’s Mercy. The Oathbreaker. I temper his wrath. For your sakes, kneel…
Or perish.
Releasing the microphone, there’s a static impact once it hits the mat and the lights go out. When they come back on, Sathariel and the Demons are gone.
