An excerpt from Tore Fagerheim's "Adrenaline Rush" plays, starting from 0:21 as a black and white, grainy highlight reel of NFW’s Gang Warfare show rolls on the screen. Each match is recapped, showcasing the winners at the end. Throughout, the music volume lowers at appropriate times so viewers can relive the stiffest moments of the matches. The 'pops' and 'smacks' of the strikes, joined by the reactions of the crowd and the commentary from James Reynolds, Nick Hanson and Matt Klazzic.
From here, the intro reel cuts directly to a camera following Jason Hardwick through the hallway of the Tucson Arena with a microphone in his hand. He’s moving briskly, obviously searching, in a hurry for someone. He speaks into the mic as he talks. “Hey there, folks. Jason Hardwick, here, with another Aftershock piece. If you’re watching this now, you’ve probably seen Gang Warfare in its entirety, however at the moment we’re filming this, it’s still going on. It’s been awhile since that hellacious Monster’s Ball Death Match. Shelley Silver just retained her Silver Mountain Championship against Clarence Fletcher Townsend about twenty, thirty minutes ago. She’s done for the evening, so I wanna see if I can catch her to get her thoughts on that insane eight woman tag match she had before her title defense. C’mon, keep up with me!” He says to the camera man as he moves down the hall until he sees a familiar woman coming out of a door. “There she is. Hey, Shelley?! Excuse me, Shelley! Shelley Silver!”
Shelley knew what she had signed up for that night. Three matches. She had a way out, though. Management asked her if she would have preferred to defend her championship before or after the pay-per-view. No one would have blamed her for it. Everyone knew that the Monster’s Ball match was going to be brutal, to say that very least, and that was on top of the tag team battle royale. The easiest match was last. That was saying a lot for a Hell in a Cell match, but there were only two people in NFW who didn’t know that she would be retaining the Silver Mountain Championship. Despite the fact that Clarence Fletcher Townsend was the easiest opponent she could have defended it against, it was still a big deal for her. She had never retained a title before, and where she now had a newfound confidence in that aspect, the emotions of her other match was really taking it’s toll on her.
When she heard someone calling out her name, she sighed, slowly turning around. She saw the camera and where she normally didn’t like showing her emotions on camera, she didn’t care that night. “Hi… Jason, right?”
Jason nodded deeply and humbly. The man always trying to be as polite as possible. “Yes, ma’am. Hello. I understand you just had your third match. I can only imagine how exhausted you are, right now. Do you have time for a couple of questions?”
She thought for a moment, knowing that Ace wouldn’t be expecting her quite yet and that Jason meant no harm. “Yeah, go ahead.”
“Thank you, so much.” Jason said, genuinely. “Alright, so...it’s no mystery, no confusion. You and your team wrestled a great match. Hard fought. However, Sex & Violence walked away with the win. Do you feel like something went wrong in your team’s strategy?” He offers the mic out towards her.
Shelley closed her eyes, shaking her head. “We all agreed that it wasn’t about who won and who lost according to the books. Both sides have said that. But hey… haven’t you seen Infinity War?” Her lips curled up in a small, half-smile.
Jason cracks a tiny smirk. “I actually waited in line all afternoon just to make an evening showing. I take it there’s a comparison between that and your match?”
“Quite simply, and don’t worry, this is not an Endgame spoiler,” she let out a light laugh. “Sometimes… you have to lose in order to win. This isn’t over Jason. Not even close. Hopefully, by the time that it is?” she took a deep breath, looking down for a moment. “Maybe someone will be better at communication.”

As Shelley quoted the Infinity War movie, Jason’s head lifted and a small smirk appeared on his face. “Okay. I know I’m supposed to be unbiased in these interviews, but that was good.” He gives Shelley a little fist bump, before continuing. “By that, I’m guessing you’re saying that even though The Unwanted were not victorious, you now know exactly what your opponents are fully capable of?”
“Yeah, three of them are blind and the other one interprets the world the way that she sees fit,” angry tears filled Shelley’s eyes. “Look, I don’t know what Lara has told them, but I do have one one thing that I want to say to her right now.” She looked into the camera, “um… no, I didn’t. I never said that and I am truly sorry if that is the way that you took it.”
Jason visibly looks, all of a sudden, regretful that he bothered Shelley for the interview when he sees the tears in her eyes. He looks at the camera briefly with a look that says he feels like an asshole, before turning back to the woman. “I’m uhh...sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you, Miss Silver. How about one more question? Different subject.” He motioned towards her with his free hand and turned it into a thumbs up. “After that Monster’s Ball match, you went into Hell In A Cell and you successfully defended your Silver Mountain Championship. Now, as I understand, this is the first successful defense of your career. So a big congratulations to you! That being said, I’m sure the question is on everyone’s minds; as Silver Mountain Champion, what’s next for you?”
Shelley waved Jason off with a small smile, “don’t worry, Jason. I was already upset. Thanks,” she opened her bag and pulled out the Silver Mountain Championship belt. “This is definite milestone in my life. As for what comes next? Don’t expect to see me at the next show. I think I might go and get married or something. After that? Do we have rematch clauses here in NFW? I feel like I owe Rick a solo match anyway. Then there’s Ethan Skinner. We could come up with a real fun match. Right now, I just need some time.”
Jason’s eyebrows raise in amusement mixed with surprise as he turns to the camera with a smile growing on his face. “Ho-hoooooo, you heard it straight from the champ herself, folks! Perhaps a rematch against former champion, Rick Dickulous? Or perhaps the Maori Warrior better start getting warmed up. Either way, champ---” He turns back to Shelley and shakes her hand, “--we’re looking forward to your next match. Enjoy the time off. You most certainly deserve it.”
Shelley nodded, “thanks Jason. I’ll see you around.” She closed her bag with her title belt securely inside and started making her way down the hall toward the parking garage with a wave at the camera.
