After Ibbie's loss to Stacy Jones, Loree looks into the ring seeing the referee tending to her client who is holding her neck. The tough girl keeps herself together while the ref asks if she's alright. Loree rushes over to the side of the ring where they are talking and sees Ibbie nod her head stating she will be fine. Looking at Loree, the ref then leaves Ibbie, who is leaning against the ropes now rubbing her neck. As Loree gets into the ring, Ibbie pulls the ropes open for her to enter and the two speak to one another as the crowd in attendance continues to watch.
Loree Merope: Ibbie, I'm glad to see you are fine after your first professional match.
Loree, attempting to show the positive cracks a smile to Ibbie who nods to her, but only lets tears stream down her face in response. Loree looks to her client with utmost empathy and then embraces her in the ring to the cheers of the crowd. Ibbie finally speaks into Loree's ear during their hug.
Ibbie: I.. I thought I was going to win. I was supposed to become champion. I was supposed to be the... the best Ibbie!
Loree Merope: You had the confidence, dear, like I said before, but you let it get the best of you. You had a great showing, but when you got overly confident, you left an opening and Stacy, being a champion-caliber competitor and veteran, took that opening. Learn from this, Ibbie, don't let it get you down.
Ibbie tears up again as she fights to speak.
Ibbie: I just.. I was having a little fun in the ring with my new friend.
Loree sighs to her client.
Loree Merope: Dear, even your closest friends will be competitive after the bell rings. Remember this next time. You'll have many more matches with many different opponents. Some friendly like Stacy tonight, and some not so willing to be your friend. Part of this sport is learning, growing, adapting so that you become a more versatile opponent for others to face. This takes time, we can't just cram that into a week's worth of work. You'll get it down, though, I am sure of this.
Both pull away from the embrace and Ibbie dries her tears. The crowd continues to cheer with "Hi, Ibbie" chants beginning.
Loree Merope: Ibbie, the other thing to take to heart are the fans here tonight. Hear them? That's for you, dear. You created this response tonight from them.
Ibbie looks around at the still chanting fans which causes the sadness and disappointment on her face to give way to happiness and warmth. Ibbie smiles at the crowd and waves to them and the crowd cheers louder in response. Loree motions for her to exit the ring with her as they need it cleared for the next match. As they leave the ring and Loree walks with her toward the backstage area, Ibbie sneaks looks back and waves to the adoring, chanting crowd.
