Trauma cuts in on Casey Holliday, who once again appears to be in a positive mood. Things have been better for her lately and she’s not wasting any time expressing her thoughts especially as things seem to be improving with every week.
Casey Holliday: The momentum that I have been building lately has been good. Since WrestleWar? I can’t say that I have anything to complain about. After all, I finally got over the Ringmaster, I got a win over Ryleigh and I think after tonight that STUPID “Casey Vacation” thing is finally put to bed for me. And to think, with that whole pre-show thing at WrestleWar and with me giving 30 day notices and all of that, there was a point where I wasn’t even sure I was going to be here. But fortunately, I got a huge break when I got drafted here to Trauma and I definitely have to say ‘so far, so good’. I’m definitely feeling like I have some momentum again after my performance in the Vlad Blackheart Memorial Tournament. That being said, I do have one question to ask.
Casey takes a second to think about her question, wondering if it is the best thing to ask, before ultimately deciding the answer is ‘yes’ and to proceed as normal.
Casey Holliday: When the heck am I going to get some real competition around here? No disrespect to anyone or anything, but I know that I am more than capable of proving myself on this show and in this company in spots higher than the pre-show and on the opening match. Casey Holliday is a main event caliber wrestler and I’m not just saying that to blow smoke up my own ass. Look at the Vlad Blackheart Memorial Tournament. I beat Jasmine Matthews. I beat Solomon Graham. I was in the GUTTER, literally in LAST PLACE after the first four matches of the tournament and I was just about as rock bottom as I could be, but I rallied to win four out of the last five beating some of the biggest names around here. I have beaten competitors in that tournament that are a bigger deal than Captain Cosmo and I’ve beaten competitors in this tournament and in this BUSINESS that are a bigger deal than Ryleigh.
I KNOW that I can have some real competition around here and that I can definitely handle it and no, this isn’t going to be an instance of where I just say something and don’t take action because that’s not the way I am wired. No, there is someone on this roster that I’ve got to test myself against because I’ve noticed that they’re not really doing much of anything right now. They’re not doing anything wrong. I think it’s because much of the roster might be a little too chickenshit to face them. This wrestler is someone that I feel is BETTER than the three wrestlers I’ve competed against lately and they are someone that is ALWAYS spoiling for a good fight and is always starving for a challenge just like I am right now. I’m talking about YOU, Coda.
I’m talking about someone who has wrestled around the world like I have, has been successful in many different companies like I have, but in NFW, just like I have, is starving for that success in this company that they haven’t had yet. I’m calling YOU out Coda! I’m showing the initiative that someone like you HAS to show in this company. You showed that tonight by taking up Stacy Jones on her challenge. It was your first fight since WrestleWar, was it not? Do you feel like you were satisfied with what you had at WrestleWar? Do you feel like you got a real challenge there? Because I’ll be honest. At WrestleWar? I may have beaten the Ringmaster and finally closed THAT annoying chapter of my career but I felt like something was missing from that. Did you feel that way when you won your match? I guess you could only answer that question. But someone like YOU? I KNOW I have to beat in order to climb the ladder here. I guess we’ll have to find out soon enough how much of a fighter you really are, huh?
Casey leaves the scene at this point, not regretting any of the words that she just expressed as the scene cuts out.
