PRE-SHOW
Match #1/Singles Match
Priscilla Mayer stood in the middle of the ring, looking over at Cass Baumer and Crystal Zdunich before she began doing the pre-match checks to ensure that neither woman had a hidden weapon or anything else they shouldn’t have. Once she’s done, Mayer nodded towards the bell keeper, signaling for the bell to sound and the match to start. The two women immediately locked up, but it didn’t last long as Cass quickly got Crystal in a side headlock, clenching the hold in tightly before shifting around and slamming Zdunich down on the mat. Baumer jumped to her feet and picked Zdunich up, whipping her into the ropes. When the former reporter when for a hard clothesline, Crystal ducked and threw herself against the opposite ropes, slamming into Cass with a springboard dropkick, sending Baumer stumbling back. The Kiwi was able to regain her balance, but it didn’t help her when Zdunich came at her with a running snapmare followed by another dropkick only to Baumer’s lower back this time. Cass grabbed her lower back.
Cass was careful about getting to her feet, unsure of how her back would react, but she moved quickly when she noticed Crystal coming at her yet again. Unable to stop quick enough, Crystal ran straight into the turnbuckle, slamming into it chest first. She turned around, holding and rubbing the part of her chest that had hit the turnbuckle, and Baumer was right there to greet Zdunich with a big boot, sending the other woman stumbling back into the corner. Cass didn’t stop there, and she quickly closed the distance between the two only to flip the other woman around and send Crystal flying across the ring with a vicious belly-to-back suplex! Using the ropes, Zdunich was able to get back to her feet and tried going for her signature Flashing Lights! Chick kick, but Baumer dodged it. With being behind Zdunich, Baumer grabbed her, setting up for Fact Check. The Kiwi hit the somersault reverse DDT beautifully then immediately went down into the pin. Mayer slid down to the mat and began the pin count.

The set of double doors in the back of the Tokyo Dome swings open to reveal “The Seoul Samurai” Coda shoves her personalized NFW badge back into her purple fleece zip-up jacket pocket. A smile comes to her delicate features, her flawless skin marred by barely visible scratches she’s accrued from battle after battle. Notably, there’s no knee brace on her left knee anymore. All that’s there are her purple pleated pants while a white undershirt shows at the bottom of her closed coat.
Coda: You were sent here to get me to talk about my upcoming match, camera girl? Even though I wish to be alone?
Coda’s confusion washes away when she walks through the catering section of the arena. She flashes a well-practiced toothy grin towards NFW's Social Media Representative Jessica Clarkson and several other co-workers before glancing back in the direction of the camera watching her right now. She sighs before she starts to speak, shoving her hands back into her pocket when she takes a right down the wrestler’s locker room hallway.
Coda: Yuka Hiraka wanted a fight — yet when Isabella Santiago brought me here to give her just that, she refused.
The men’s and women’s locker rooms briefly appear in the background. The Kingdom locker room gets a glimpse too, but before she can arrive at the end of the hallway, she stops at a singular locker room addressed explicitly with the name “CODA” on the door.
Coda: Perhaps when Yuka asked for a fight, she had intended to express that she wanted to compete against an opponent who was exceptional but not too exceptional. Instead, she wanted the veneer of a challenge, an outward look of dominance against an opponent with more sizzle than substance.
She nods, opening her locker room door and gesturing for the camera operator to follow. Inside, we see a modest room with a single locker on the wall, a Disney’s Hercules poster on the wall, and a steel chair. Coda drops her black travel bag beside it with a brief smile.
Coda: I find it difficult to express myself as well. Especially in rather emotional situations. I imagine being put on the spot to challenge a woman of my stature by the General Manager herself was quite the dramatic reveal. After all, even she admitted that the opponents she fought prior were lacking.
The Korean-American leans against the wall and crosses her legs casually, then brushes her light brown hair out of her eyes.
Coda: It took months of rehab to heal from that ACL tear. The pain was excruciating, but I had Yuka’s match in mind through it all. Each repetitive range of motion knee exercise brought me closer to my goal. All the times I walked a little further without instability showed Yuka I am not a crippled dog! Watashi wa inude wa arimasen! Watashi wa sentōkidesu! Tatakai tsudzukemasu!
Subtitles read that her Japanese translates to “I am not a dog! I am a fighter! Keep fighting!” With frustration in her eyes, Coda’s arms cross over her chest. The veins in her neck start to bulge with emotion as she continues to shout.
Coda: Tatakaitai, Yuka?! Watashitachiha tatakau tsumoridesu!!
“You want to fight, Yuka?” the subtitles recite. “We will fight!” With that, Coda starts to calm down as the event continues elsewhere.

Match #2/Tag Team Match
~DING DING DING~
Mayumi is starting for her team and she rushes in with a shotgun dropkick that hits Chance and JTM. Mayumi pulls JTM up and delivers a quick Russian leg sweep, sits JTM back up, and then Mayumi connects with a kick, rolling through into the cover for a 2 count. Mayumi brings JTM up again and whips him into her corner. Mayumi follows with a handspring forearm and she tags Lassindra in. The powerhouse rushes Chance Williams on the apron and knocks him down before running back to catch JTM with a vicious clothesline. Tag back to Mayumi, then a scoop slam to JTM. Chance slides in and charges, but Mayumi catches him with a basement dropkick to the knee, and Lass delivers an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. With JTM and Chance sprawled out beside each other, Mayumi jumps up onto Lass’ shoulders and performs a sort of victory roll, sending both of them crashing down on the AEOUs boys with a somersault senton. Thurgood Jackson finally gets some control back as he sends Lass to her corner and Chance rolls out of the ring. Mayumi tags Lass right back in and The Oncoming Storm hauls JTM up. Whip into the corner, corner clothesline, and the tag from Mayumi. Lass brings JTM up and there’s the Magic Powerslam. Mayumi covers off the big knee strike.

JTM hits the ropes, charges, and dives over the top with a tope con hilo, tagging Chance on the way out. Chance comes in with a springboard dropkick to put Mayumi back down before he follows with a slingshot somersault senton. Chance covers and gets a 2 count, but he stays on the attack with a big Saito suplex and a middle rope leg drop for another 2 count. Lass is getting back up on the outside, so Chance tags JTM back in hits the ropes, and hits a perfect tope suicida. JTM looks for a big diving double foot stomp, but Mayumi is just able to move out of the way. An enziguri staggers JTM and Mayumi follows with a headscissors that sends him into the turnbuckle. Mayumi goes in for the rope-assisted tornado DDT, but JTM shoves her off, connects with a dropkick and Mayumi goes back into the ropes, comes back at JTM, and gets dropped with THIS AIN'T A SCENE. Lass is in to break things up and she quickly sends both JTM and Chance to the floor with a running double clothesline, practically hauling AEOUs to the ropes by their necks. Lass checks on Mayumi real quick and then it’s time for an International Space Flight as Mayumi is sent to the outside where she wipes out both members of AEOUs. JTM is pulled up and brought inside, then Mayumi quickly tags Lass in so she can recover a bit. The Oncoming Storm completely changes the pace of the match as she hits a running double ax handle to JTM, then connects with a belly-to-back suplex. Cover and a 2 count. Chance Williams grabs the foot of Lassindra, tripping her up and allowing JTM to deliver a rolling cutter. JTM tags Chance back in and he connects with a big frog splash for a 2 count. Chance brings Lassindra up and onto his shoulders in the fireman’s carry, but she delivers several quick elbows and slips off. Lassindra hits a German suplex back towards the Magik Joshi Storm corner and she nods at Mayumi, then tags in. Mayumi goes up top and yells “INSANELY CUTE BALLISTIC MISSILE!” before Lassinddra launches her off the top rope to crash down on Chance Williams with a crossbody. Mayumi covers

JTM is in to break up the pin once more and again Lass comes in, charges with a clothesline, but she stops when JTM drops down and she kicks him hard in the back. Mayumi brings Chance up to his feet, but he rakes the eyes and hits a hotshot, dropping Mayumi throat first on the rope as Thurgood Jackson is getting Lassindra back to her corner. Chance makes the tag to JTM and he hits a springboard shooting star press for a very close 2 count. JTM is getting a little cocky as brings Mayumi up and teases her a bit before setting for a buckle bomb, but as he’s charging, Mayumi shifts and counters with a hurricanrana, sending JTM into the corner. Mayumi dives over to Lass and makes the tag. JTM is taken down with a big lariat, then Chance Williams catches a big boot. JTM goes back down courtesy of a shoulder tackle, but then Lass is caught with a chop block, followed by a running bulldog. Chance is sent back to his corner as Mayumi is knocked off the apron by JTM. Chance is tagged in and AEOUs connect with the double hip toss, stereo cartwheels, and picture-perfect dropkicks. JTM is tagged right back in to hit a diving double foot stomp, and then Chance is brought back in so they can deliver IT'S AN ARMS RACE to Lassindra Haliday. Chance makes the cover

Mayumi runs back and hits a sliding European uppercut as Chance is getting up, and she slips under the bottom rope and goes back to her corner. Lassindra crawls over and makes the tag. Mayumi connects with the Sukaihōkī as Chance is getting up to his feet. With Chance down and JTM on the outside, Mayumi heads up top. With the crowd cheering her on. Mayumi raises up the peace sign and yells “FLY WITH MEEEEE!” right as JTM rushes in and shoves her off the top rope. Mayumi goes flying, flipping as she falls, her left leg smashing across the barricade. Mayumi screams as she lands and clutches her leg. Lass hops off the apron and rushes over to her partner. Thurgood Jackson hoops out of the ring as Chance gets to his feet. He sees Mayumi down, sees JTM in the ring and the two are smirking as Mayumi is crying and howling in pain. Thurgood Jackson throws up the dreaded X and the bell sounds.
~DING DING DING~
Umi Toriyama: Kono shiai wa kega no tame ni yoba remashita.
Seth Ernst: Oh crap. This match has been called due to an injury suffered by Mayumi Tanahashi, and… are those two laughing right now?
Miranda Augustino: It looks like they are, and Lassindra does not look happy.
Seth Ernst: Just classless from these two.
Lassindra looks ready to run into the ring and rip the heads off of AEOUs, but Mayumi grabs her arm and holds her close, even when JTM and Chance demand that Thurgood Jackson get in the ring and raise their hands. Jackson talks with Mayumi and Lass for a second before the medical team arrives. Jackson goes back in the ring, quickly raises the hands of AEOUs, and then tosses them back down, leaving the ring. AEOUs make their exit as the Tokyo Dome crowd reign down boos upon them.
Winner(s): All Eyes On Us
Result: Injury Stoppage

We go to the back where Griffin Hawkins is sitting on the floor of his locker room, dressed in black jeans and a Nirvana T-Shirt. The Perseverance Title rests at his lap as he begins to look up at the camera..speaking to the viewers watching.
Griffin Hawkins: ...in 2021...people had written me off. After I lost the Undisptued Title...things didn't seem to go right for me. Sure, I had a few chances....I had some perfectly good matches...but at the end of the day, I didn't really accomplish much of anything. There were times when I was left off the card...people had forgotten that I was the face of Trauma as others before me took the spotlight. Did it bother me? Yes. But I didn't let it hold me back. Unlike certain others who moan and complain about how this company "forgot about them" and say they are better than this guy or that girl when they've done nothing to prove it..I kept fighting. And when the Perseverance Title came my way..I knew it was a chance to turn everything around. And once I won it..I promised I'd defend against all comers. And for the last six months I've been a fighting champion...and in what could be my final defense...I am looking to close out this tour by retaining my title.
He holds it in his lap, remaining focused.
Griffin Hawkins: First...we got an old acquaintance of mine...Cali Kate. Hi there Katie....welcome back to the spotlight. You're finally back in the swing of things....and ironically against the guy who ended your reign. You believe that this title is meant for you because you have done nothing but Persevere your whole time in NFW. That's real cute Kate...but until you actually win it back, you got not claim to it. You can say that this is your title, the one you put on the map...but the truth of the matter is, I'm the champion now, and you're just on the outside looking in just like I was months ago. You want to turn it all around? Come get me.
He slowly gets up, holding the title.
Griffin Hawkins: You walk these halls in anger...bitter that you're no longer in the spotlight. You act as if the entire NFW roster should just get down and kiss your ass just because you were the Undisputed Champion and the face of the brand. And now you come to me wanting the belt you lost back because this is your last chance to get back into the spotlight. 2021 wasn't exactly a banner year for you was it? You lost quite a lot...and now you're trying to inch your way back into the main event scene by coming after the one guy who drove you into your downward spiral. If you want redemption, seek religion.
He places the title around his shoulder.
Griffin Hawkins: After I won this title in the Fatal Five Way...you said that sooner or later I'd slip up...you'd be there to pick up the pieces. You expected me to fall flat on my face as Champion. Six months later, I'm still going strong. I didn't fall or so much as stumble since winning this very title. I defended it against anybody who wanted a shot. You expected me to flop as a Champion...when in reality I did the complete opposite. All you can say is my reign was..."okay"..never mind the fact that I have held this reign just about as long as you have. If you think you can do better than me...then go ahead and try and take the belt you think you're entitled to.
He readjusts the belt on his shoulder.
Griffin Hawkins: You act as if its a given that you're just gonna stroll into Japan and take the title back. Oh Katie..your ego has ALWAYS gotten the best of you. You had the same cockiness before...and I ended up taking your gold. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. If you want to keep at it with the arrogant attitude thinking this match is going to be easy?...then be my guest. You want people to watch you? I'll make sure they do....because they will watch me kick your ass once again.
Griffin Hawkins: Hayley Halsey.....the Veruca Salt of NFW....has finally found herself into a Championship match. How did you get it? By choosing to jump me from behind after my Triple Threat Match. And now you're going around on Social Media telling anyone who'll listen that you're gonna take my title and defeat both me and Katie. Bitch...you must be dreaming. Instead of your wrestling skills, all you've shown us is how good you can throw a tantrum on Twitter for the world to see. How do you expect us to take you seriously?
He can't help but laugh a little.
Griffin Hawkins: It's funny and sad at the same time. It's also really sad. Because you're actually good in the ring. No really..you are. As much of an ass you make of yourself on social media, you're actually damn good. But the whole problem is you got too much too fast...and now success has ruined you. You walk around here expecting NFW to just roll out the red carpet...claiming yourself to be the best wrestler in NFW today. See, like Kate, you expect to be treated like royalty. Instead of earning your way, you want things to be handed to you. You've been in this business long enough to know that you gotta EARN your way. I guess what Victoria taught you hasn't gotten through to you.
He shakes his head.
Griffin Hawkins: You say that you're tired of being disrespected...tired of being mocked. Did you ever stop to think that maybe you brought this on yourself with your childish antics? Whenever something goes wrong, you act like the world's biggest crybaby. And then you go on and on about your sad story about how your parents mistreated you, how you mix alcohol with muscle relaxers..the whole nine. Are you expecting us to feel sorry for you? Are we supposed to say "oh you poor thing, I'm so sorry" after all the things you have said and done in the last year? A real person owns up to what they said and accept responsibility. You refuse to change your ways and walk around with an entitled attitude. After this..you're going to realize it won't get you anywhere.
He looks straight at the camera.
Griffin Hawkins: Truthfully...you don't belong in this match. While I have some disagreements with Kate about her comments, she at least has a legitimate claim to being here as she never really got a rematch for this title. You on the other hand just jumped me from behind like a coward after making idle threats and running me down for the last year. But I'm not going to complain...I'll just do what I have always done in my career and fight until I am the last one standing. You want to blame me for all your problems? You want to claim that I am the source of all your misery? Well this is your chance to right all these alleged wrongs...but don't expect to shock the world...expect to get rocked.
He walks off as we go back to the ring.

Match #3/Submission Match
~DING DING DING~
Referee Yumi Akiyama calls for the bell and the women circle one another before Coda offers her hand to Hirata, who just laughs before kicking her hand away and immediately locks the Pint-Sized Kaiju into a side headlock. The smaller woman cinches the headlock in before quickly hitting an impressive judo hip toss and then rolls across Coda’s body and grabs hold of her rehabbed leg and locks in a leg lock forcing The Seoul Samurai to quickly scramble towards the ropes and she grabs the bottom one.

The Red Wolf releases the hold and receives a telling off from Akiyama, who reminds her who is in charge here as Coda gingerly gets back to her feet, shaking her rehabbed leg a bit to help loosen it up and ease the pain. The two circle each other again and Hirata goes for Coda’s leg again, however the Ballroom Battler spins around the back of The Little Wolf, wraps her arms around her waist and nails her with a release German suplex. Coda then quickly follows that up with a diving seated senton and follows up with a flurry of strikes before then quickly locking Hirata into a Fujiwara armbar.
After a few moments of scrambling, Hirata manages to make it to the bottom rope and as soon as she grabs hold of it, Coda releases the hold and gets back to her feet and allows her opponent to recover in classic Coda fashion. Now it’s time for Hirata to shake out a limb as she shakes her arm out before then calling over to the Pint-Sized Kaiju for a test of strength, despite being the smaller of the two.
Coda happily obliges and the two slowly lock fingers with one another and then both attempt to overpower the other and for a few moments, we’re at a stalemate until Hirata kicks at The Seoul Samurai’s bad leg, dropping the woman to the mat. The Red Wolf attempts an elbow drop, but Coda rolls out of the way and is immediately back to her feet and delivers a stiff chop to Hirata’s chest.
Hirata tenses up her body as she absorbs the chop and after letting out a guttural scream, she returns the favor with a chop of her own to Coda’s chest. The Pint-Sized Kaiju does the same thing, tensing up and absorbing the shot and for the next few moments, the two combatants go back and forth with chops. Coda. Hirata. Coda. Hirata. Coda.
Hirata then changes things up a bit and kicks at Coda’s bad leg, however the Ballroom Battler quickly answers back with a kick of her own to Hirata’s bad arm and then they’re back at it again, trading shots to each other’s bad limbs! Coda! Hirata! Coda! Hirata!
That last shot to Coda’s leg causes her to stumble back a little, however Coda from out of nowhere runs in with her Sonata high knee to the head! But Hirata doesn’t go down and she’s right back at Coda with her Ookami No Koushou combination before she collapses through exhaustion and the fans are loving it as Akiyama checks on both competitors and begins the ten count.

Coda and Hirata glare at each other, butting heads as they slowly rise up to their feet while vocally yelling at each other. Things begin to intensify between the two as they both begin to shake with fury and when Coda goes for a chop, Hirata boots her in the gut and lifts her up into a suplex position, perhaps going for Kirisute Gomen, however Coda wriggles herself free, dropping down in front of her and as Hirata goes for a clothesline, Coda ducks under and takes Hirata down with a leg trip and then transitions into the Rhapsody!
The Pint-Sized Kaiju has The Little Wolf right where she wants her, trapped in the center of the ring with nowhere to go and despite Hirata’s best efforts, eventually she has no choice but to tap out forcing Akiyama to call for the bell and the end of the match!
~DING DING DING~
Umi Toriyama: Here is your winner… via submission! CODA!
“Fight Forever” by Shyloom ft. FJØRA blasts out of the PA system as Coda gingerly gets to her feet and Akiyama takes hold of her arm and raises it up into the air.
Seth Ernst: What a match! And congratulations to Coda!
Miranda Augustino: Definitely! It could have gone either way!
As Coda takes some time to bow to the fans, Hirata is back up onto her feet and she grabs Coda’s arm and spins her around, getting right into her face. After a brief pause, Hirata extends her hand to Coda and the Pint-Sized Kaiju accepts the handshake and the two bow to one another before Hirata leaves the ring, allowing Coda to continue bowing to the crowd.
