We open up backstage of the Collision Center and are greeted by Captain Cosmo.
Captain Cosmo: Ah yes! Hello! Fans of the Wrestling of the New Frontier! Captain Cosmo here! The greatest Captain to ever travel the Cosmos! We are backstage at the Tournament of the Memorial to Vlad the Blackheart where we have just wrapped up the second night of this quite wonderful event!
Cosmo points to a Vlad Blackheart poster behind him.
Captain Cosmo: There he is! Vlad the Blackheart! He was quite fantastic at the wrestling! And the first night opened up with a tribute video to him! It was quite wonderful! Many people cried! Captain Cosmo did not cry though because he does not have tear ducts!
He shrugs.
Captain Cosmo: Anyway! The first match of the tournament saw Collision’s Serenity Lady, Abigail Lindsay going up against Trauma’s Champion of the United States… The One that is Unbreakable, Stacy Jones! And yes, as expected this was quite the battle between these two fierce lady humans with a great back and forth! Ultimately it was the Champion of the United States who got the victory after hitting friend Abigail with the Bat-Hammer!
Cosmo points to his cameraman Jeff.
Captain Cosmo: That move is named after Batman and the late great, Shonn Maguire! Did you know that, Jeff?!
Jeff: Of course I did.
Captain Cosmo: Ah, yes! Of course! You’re a big fan of Stacy Jones! Well she then followed that up with Remember Who You Are! Which Captain Cosmo is wondering if she’s allowed to do that move as it has a resemblance to Captain Cosmo’s DON’T TRUST EMUS finishing move!
Jeff: Actually she used the move before you did, Cap.
Cosmo glares at Jeff for a brief moment before then shrugging his shoulders.
Captain Cosmo: Moving on to match two! The big and scary Adrianna Salvatore against The One that is Wicked, Ronnie Lester! Ronnie did his best and showed his resiliency! It was quite the impressive display! Unfortunately for him, Adrianna was too much for him! Showing off her amazing power and crazy speed and dropped Ronnie with Ground Zero for the win!
Jeff: Adrianna is great.
Cosmo rolls his eyes.
Captain Cosmo: Yes, Jeff… Captain Cosmo gets it! You love Adrianna! Captain Cosmo has been meaning to tell you though that unfortunately, you have no chance with her… she’s lebanese or something!
The Captain shrugs.
Jeff: Don’t you mean les--
Captain Cosmo: Match three! We saw That B Word, Jansen Myrrh against Captain Cosmo’s good friend, the Lion that is Black, Minoru Tanahashi! Now this match was quite the classic encounter! Unfortunately, friend Jansen was not one hundred percent for this match, however Captain Cosmo knows that she is not one for excuses! She did put up a wonderful fight against Minoru, who hasn’t had the greatest of luck in singles competition as of late, however… Minoru was able to hit Jansen with the Black Lion Bomb to secure the victory!
Jeff: Cap, I’m pretty sure the word you used to describe Adrianna was--
Captain Cosmo: Jeff! Why are you still talking about Adrianna?! We’re onto match four now! Pay attention!
Cosmo shakes his head.
Captain Cosmo: So the fourth match was the Punk that is Loveable, Jonna Austin going up against the King of Demons, Anton Crowley! Now! Of course this match was always going to be a close one! Jonna recently took the Champion of the World, Damon Cross to his limit! So going up against the former Champion of the Undisputed, of course it was going to be a close one! Ultimately however, it was Anton who would strike with The Morning Star to put away Jonna for the three!
Jeff: And thankfully, Anton didn’t sacrifice me due to me saying that you two kinda looked similar with the white faces and all.
Captain Cosmo: This is true! But now you’ve just reminded him of that so… it was nice knowing you Jeff! Moving on though to the final match of the evening! It saw the return of the Paladin of the Eternal, Jessica Matthews going up against Risa Jackson, the SuperNova! This was quite the difficult match for Captain Cosmo to watch because he is a big fan and is friends with both of them! Now of course, going into this match, you had last year’s winner of the Tournament of the Memorial to Vlad the Blackheart going up against a lady human who had just returned to the wrestling! It was quite the back and forth contest and was very enjoyable to witness! Friend Jessica would scale the turnbuckle and finished off friend Risa with the Silver Moon Shockwave for the win!
Jeff: Quite a first night, Cap.
Captain Cosmo: What a first show indeed, Jeff! And on that note, we move onto night two!
Jeff: Another great show.
Cosmo nods in agreement.
Captain Cosmo: It was, yes! And we kicked off with the Extraordinary Geekette, Cali-Kate going up against Solomon Graham! Now this was quite the interesting one, because nobody expected Solomon to win this match! But he proved all of those doubters wrong when he managed to overcome the onslaught from the former Champion of Perseverance when he struck with the Shattered Neck Brilliance!
Jeff: I’m still shocked about that outcome myself.
Captain Cosmo: Yeeees, but that is what happens when you underestimate your opponents, Jeff! That is something you should never do!
The Captain shrugs again.
Captain Cosmo: Match two saw Captain Cosmo’s good friend and the current Champion of Perseverance, Griffin Hawkins facing off with The Violent Siren, Cayla Phoenix! This match was quite the spectacle with many moves of the high flying variety! Both competitors had many near falls and it was quite entertaining for everyone watching, including Captain Cosmo himself! In the end though, friend Griffin would catch friend Cayla with a Shot In The Dark to get that first win!
Jeff: Surprisingly we saw him hit the move as well.
Captain Cosmo: We did! Captain Cosmo was expecting the lights to shut off when he hit it!
Cosmo shrugs.
Captain Cosmo: Oh well! Onto match three now! Casey Vacation versus Captain Cosmo’s very evil friend, Sierra Silver!
Jeff: It’s Holliday. Casey Holliday.
Captain Cosmo: Holliday… Vacation… same thing! Anyway! This was another lightning quick contest as both Casey and Sierra were flying around the ring like they were involved in one of those battles from the War of Stars! There were many moves that happened in this match that if you blinked, you would have missed them! It was quite craz--
Cosmo quickly covers his mouth and goes wide eyed.
Captain Cosmo: Captain Cosmo must remember not to use that word just in case the Banshee of the Crusade is listening! Anyway! It would be Sierra who would walk away with the win after she hit Casey with the Silver Sun Rising!
Jeff: Is Sierra really evil, Cap? She doesn’t seem evil to me.
Captain Cosmo: Don’t be silly, Jeff! Of course Sierra is evil! She wouldn’t lie about that!
The Captain shakes his head.
Captain Cosmo: Now onto the second to last match! The Contradiction that Walks, Cherry Addams against the Maniac that is Animated, Logan Bailey! Now, Captain Cosmo is a big fan of friend Logan, unfortunately for him the match did not last very long and Cherry locked him into Dying Of The Light and forced him to tap out for the victory!
Jeff: Poor Logan.
Captain Cosmo: It is very much a shame, Jeff! But he is doing this to pay for his wedding to Faye Brown! So congratulations!
Jeff: Congratulations indeed.
Captain Cosmo: And we come to the final match of the evening! The Queen of War, Leah Aguero going up against the Rose that is Fanged, Jasmine Matthews! What did you think of this match, Jeff?!
Jeff: It was a pretty damn good match, Cap.
Captain Cosmo: Right?! Captain Cosmo had no idea which way it was going to go! Near fall after near fall! It was truly a classic match between two fantastic lady humans who both deserved to win! Unfortunately, there can only be one winner and that winner, after hitting The Ice Cold, was Jasmine!
Cosmo then outstretches his arms.
Captain Cosmo: Well there you have it! All in all, the humans who do the Wrestling for the New Frontier have put on two wonderful shows so far! Captain Cosmo is sure that Vlad the Blackheart would be proud! Make sure to check out the rest of the tournament! Keep an eye out for the Cosmic Pug! But more importantly of all! DON’T TRUST EMUS! Okay, goodbye!
The Captain then starts walking away, presumably to continue his search for the Cosmic Pug as the scene fades.
